I’m just sitting here like, “modern bread slicers have sensors that trigger an automatic shut off when foreign objects are detected entering near the blades!!!”
That workplace just needed an upgrade. 😂

The boiling water psa brings back so many memories from when I was in culinary back in high school. Teacher asked me to do the exact same thing with a huge pot of chicken stock. I did not budge until one of the assistants came over to help me lift it, especially considering he wanted me to pour the stock into very small containers, and it would've been way too easy to miss and spill all of it on my foot
Also from my experiences in the kitchen, aprons usually don't help with spilling stuff, 9 times outta 10 it'd just soak through and burn me anyways

The aprons I've used for dealing with oil and things like that with previous jobs have usually been pretty good at stopping hot things from affecting you but I guess some workplaces would be stingy as fuck and buy some aprons that aren't particularly safe for hot liquids and oil

The second one creeped me out so much that when I got a job doing bakery/deli at my local grocery store, the bread slicer machine intimidated the hell out of me as a grown adult. I'm not Australian but I do watch a lot of PSAs and PIFs on TH-cam 😂

Oh man, you need to do a video on hilarious (intentional or otherwise) PSAs.
    Do it for Old Andy!

Actually, that's one of the most reasonable ones I've seen. I work with a deli and bread slicer, and it CAN take your finger off if you aren't careful and don't load it properly, which the machine does not have instructions for on the device and you have to be shown. Each one is a bit different, and more modern ones will have a design specifically to prevent what happened in the PSA, where you load the loaf onto a a metal grate, and that metal grate will automatically drop when everything is in place, and you lower the bread further with a lever on the side so you don't touch the top of the machine at all. The bread spits out sliced at the bottom and gets bagged directly from there. Though one blatant error I see TO THIS DAY at my work is a slight variation of the danger shown, which is what happens when the loaf gets stuck in the blades. So many people I work with will reach up into the machine from the bottom (where the blades come out from) and try to yank the stuck load out. And THAT'S where the danger lies. Those blades could drop back and slice you even when the machine is turned off. NEVER stick you hand into a slicer, for ANY reason. It's better to abandon the loaf and go get help than to attempt to do that. If any place makes you feel like that isn't possible: quit. Your life and safety aren't worth a loaf of bread, folks.

They are actually pretty effective, the boiling water one scared me as I was scalded with boiling water as a child and seeing such things brings it back.
    Good collection as always Zach.
Just a suggestion for consideration, how about a collection of Stranger Danger ones?
    Cheers Zach.

Man, these PSAs are effective, especially the ones where we get to see the injury that happens!

You just have to be careful with machinery. Tough but true. I’ve heard and seen cases. It’s better to be safe than sorry or lost something. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think this was supposed to be a hernia, like his abdominal wall (or maybe even something with his groin) split open and those were his organs spilling out.
Also, unrelated: I don't know if it's different in Australia, but in America you would never assume a construction worker's favorite hobby was golf. It's probably because of stereotypes, and - like you said - screw golf, but...weird choice.

I literally couldn't watch the psas where we see these workers break their bones. Even with your commentary on them. I would cover my eyes every time the closeups came on. And even they I would cringe in pain.
I liked the wheel of misfortune psas a lot better. They were hilarious and I wish Worksafe made more of those instead.
