This channel pays homage to some of the most glorious things from the 80's....WWF wrestling and G.I. Joe! Specifically, you'll find videos about one of the greatest wrestling video games ever: WWE2K14 and it's modded counterpart: Wrestling Legends.

G.I. Joe Comic Issue #6 *Almost* Animated! (w/sfx, music & dialogue!)
I've always felt that the G.I. Joe comic (A Real American Hero) storyline told the absolute best stories of the franchise. Since the movies can't get it right, I've decided to redo the comics with dialogue, sfx and music.
Issue #6 sends the Joes into the Afghani desert to hunt down a crashed Russian spy plane. Along the way, they have a skirmish with both the Oktober Guard and ultimately the Cobra Army! How will they get out of this mess? (Part 1 of 2.)

This one is the best.... !!!
The famous issue where Stalker is constantly referred to as Ranger. Nobody knows if it was a mistake, or calling that because he was a ranger.
9-year-old-me thought this was the greatest ... and 40 years later, I still love me some GI Joe.
@@tatesinclair6837 same. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for this issue! This was one of my favorite early issues before GI Joe really took off with those storylines. I can't wait for y'all to do Yearbook 2 with the Return of the October Guard. That was a classic. RIP Col Brekhov, Schrage, Stormavik, and my favorite, Horrorshow.
@@scout69977 Thanks for tuning in! Definitely a fun issue to recreate.
MPS instead of MPs. It’s military police, not an acronym. I had to stop watching.
@@ericleavitt6615 Wow. Sorry to let you down. Glad you stopped, certainly don’t want you getting set off by something else.
This channel has become a time warp for me. Everytime you drop a new video, I become my 10 year old self again, eager for the next Sunbow cartoon. In this case, a retro marvel issue that I never had a chance to 'read,' till now. This 'issue,' confirms that it was Hamma, not the Sunbow writers that created the Oktober Guard. Well done as always folks!
@@darthdigital666 Thanks! Yeah, I always hoped for an Oktober Guard figure set around the peak 82-87 years of my fandom. Such cool anti-heroes/villains.
Amazing

Oh no, looks like Hawk is a Cobra Spy! And now both the Joes and the October Guard are in the clutches of Cobra Commander! How ill they get out of this one? Will this be the end of them? And what with the Russian Spy plane? Tune in, same Gi Joe time, same Gi Joe channel!
I like it when they had cliffhangers, and this one in particular which is really a 2 part story.
O my god !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😎😎😎😎

Love these. You guys do great work!!

Thanks so much! I’m hoping to do as many as possible. Getting support and encouragement helps me to press on!
Just the best!

Awesome animated series!!
Thanks so much! Stay tuned for more!
Thumbs way up!👍🏻👍🏻 I needed this! This and the next one were my first foray into comics altogether! I am psyched for what's to come! Can't wait for Dr. Mindbender and Serpentor, Billy and Storm-Shadow training, Soft Master raiding Springfield, and Firefly and Scrap-Iron on a Ferret tooling around Springfield and outskirts. Oh, and Candy getting away from Buzzer!
We’re hitting a great stretch of storytelling in the upcoming comics!
I got this comic as a part of a toy pack. It was always a blast to read.
Sweet. Thanks for watching!
@@dshay7gamingandcomics Thanks for the great dub!
Full stealth with sound effects!!! Nice!!
Thanks!
I do not think you could have found a more fitting voice actor's name to play Breaker. Here's to Cody Ball "Breaker"!! I just wanted to comment and break your balls a bit. (pun intended) Seriously, thank-you very much! This series is amazing.
😂Awesome!
Thanks for this video. Gen. Flagg, an even sadder story. He didn't seem regretful for not taking the shot. He seemed regretful that he wasn't sure he could do it and NOT hit one of the Girl Scouts. 😢
Yep....gotta put people first. General Flagg was awesome.
Now I know what the voice of Cobra commander reminds me about.....its Jordan Peterson and that is kind of hilarious if you think about it.
Good job with this issue.
Thank you!
Nicely done as always.
Thanks for the encouragement! Glad you enjoyed it.
Really awesome. Thank you so much for your and your team's hard work.
My pleasure, thank you for watching!
Another great video!!! Is there any chance you're going to do the Energon Universe in the future?
Thank you! Highly unlikely about doing another universe, as ARAH is really the only one that interests me.
Ha! I've been looking forward to your interpretation of this issue for months! Well done and damn funny!
Thanks so much! Yeah, this was a fun one to do…another great Larry Hama story.
Amazing. I own boxes of comics and I always wished there was a channel like this where someone would read the comics like the way ur doing it. Not the biggest GI Joe comic book fan. Really liked the 80s cartoon when I was growing up. Regardless you have a new subscriber who just watched ur first WWE event video and will give every G.I Joe video a watch aswell. Any chance you can recommend and channels that do what ur doing for DC or marvel comics? More a DC person if I’m able to be picky. Either way keep up the great work. 👍👍👍
Thanks for watching and tuning in! I only do Joe comics because those are the only ones I’m interested in. But other people should definitely do what I do with other comics and give them life!
Hard to imagine that this Von Erich had already lost his leg and his boot was his prosthetic. I was to young to remember him as anything other then the Texas Tornado. It’s insane to realize later on in life that the he was flying around like that with one leg. Especially back then when Prosthetics weren’t good at all. Basically wood that attracted near the knee. Just an amazing athlete. Unfortunately the pain lead to abuse of pills and ultimately to him killing himself. I also heard that the majority of the wrestlers didn’t even know he was missing a leg. To tuff for his own food it seems
another home - run. good stuff.
Thank you! Grateful for the encouragement!
Great video, the blasted cartoon, would've had Flint leading every mission, like my man Stalker isn't capable of leading, Stalker was a excellent field commander, nice story arch from Larry Hama too?🫡👍🏾
Stalker is a great leader, no doubt. Thanks for tuning in!
I'm with you on feeling like Flint was overrated. A former friend and neighbor who I miss dearly was a Vietnam vet, and he told me a Warrant Officer doesn't have as much authority as they assign Flint. He said they are doorgunners, helicopter copilots and such, and aren't even addressed as "Sir", more often Mr., or just by their last name. The animated series did seem to have Flint leading more missions. He's not even in my top 10 favorite Joes. That, and I preferred the comics to the cartoons, anyway.
Awesome
You’re awesome! Thanks for watching!
Fantastic as usual. Great job! Recondo’s accent though? Is that a Wisconsin accent?
Thanks for tuning in! Yeah, supposed to be a Wisconsin accent.
My first issue bought at a 7/11 off a spinner rack. 6th grade. Nice job my only minor complaint is billy sounds a little too adult I will say the sound overall is more balanced than previous videos. The older videos it sounded like voices were all recorded completely different mics I really enjoy these those Really wish they official adapt the marvel run into some kind of animated series
Thanks for tuning in! I kind of looked at it like Billy is going through puberty. 😂 As far as the sound, in previous issues, I had people recording their parts on their own and sending them to me. I have a different method now that’s much more consistent.
@@dshay7gamingandcomicsi always assumed Billy was like 12 maybe younger Like I said minor complaint Big fan of what your are doing
@@seanodeli7031 Wait til the next issue…he looks like a 16 year old with ripped abs!
It was a very pleasant surprise to see this 'new issue,' this morning. The love and detail you folks put into this is truly exceptional. I wondered why you make these leaps back and forth with issue numbers, and I figure you wanted to jump to more exciting stories with better established characters before leaping back to the earlier tales. Looking forward to seeing you cover the story with an unarmed Mobat crashing a parade during a Cobra raid. ;) Good work on this issue; however, Im not too keen on the Recondo voice talent; Sounds more like Mrs. Doubtfire then an excentric jungle scout. Guess I'm just still attached to his gruffer Sunbow voiced counterpart...
Thanks for watching! The leaps back and forth really have more to do with me starting at issue #21. That was my first issue, not knowing I'd do any more. I kept going forward with 22, 23, etc. Then I went back to #1 and started going forward with those 2, 3, 4, etc. I realize it bugs people, but eventually, they'll all catch up and issues 1 - 50 will be done.
