G.I. Joe Comic Issue #29 *Almost* Animated! (w/sfx, music & dialogue!)

- I've always felt that the G.I. Joe comic (A Real American Hero) storyline told the absolute best stories of the franchise. Since the movies can't get it right, I've decided to redo the comics with dialogue, sfx and music.
Issue #29 picks up where #28 left off, with the wounded Joes and the battered WHALE attempting to regroup in the Florida Everglades while Destro and Firefly lurk nearby. Meanwhile, Cobra Commander returns to Springfield and gives a motivational speech for the ages!

The more I go back and read these comics, the more ways I see how the writing and stories influenced some things in the 80s!
I fondly recall this issue as it introduced the Crimson Guard. Bought it off a rack at a Waldenbooks.

awesome. these early issues were key to forming such an engaging and ongoing story line. Other comics entered my collection from time to time, but GI Joe was the single constant excitement each month for a continuation in a great story and character development.

Love this "almost animated ". Keep it up!! One of my favorite scenes with 3 guys on whale part and roadblock lifts it anyway. Hama was funny at times.

Also , I almost forgot, the scene with tripwire and roadblock discussion about self sacrifice was another noteworthy scene. Great job again!
Thanks! Yeah, I love that even characters like Tripwire, who can be goofy at times, still had enough heart to sacrifice himself for his fellow soldiers. And the. Roadblock comes in with great wisdom.

That was my first comic book ever!!!!
Dad brought it home from hooks pharmacy along with my medication when he got off work. I had tonsillitis.
Read it a hundred times, probably.
I was hooked and spent the next 13 months trying to find 1-29, it was an hour drive to get to a comic shop.
Lost them all(20 long boxes) to a house fire a decade ago.
The very last gap comic of 1-29 I found was 28. My mom found it in a 50-cent box in a used book store. She proudly handed it to me.
My wife heard me tell that story to my youngest. She just is getting into comics.
On Christmas morning, I unwrapped 2 issues of 28 and 30, a reader and a slabbed 9.8 of each.
I'm closer to 50 than 40 and I wept.
I love it when you do an issue that I read in the 80's. The sound effects and music adds elements of drama and intensity. I anxiously awaiting for you to get to issue #34.

Wonderful as always! I am getting very interested in the voice actors! So the person that does Hawk and Roadblock are the same? Really incredible! Sounds like 2 totally different people and they both really sound like how the character should sound!
Thanks! I don't consider myself much of a voice actor, but Hawk and Roadblock are played by me. :) But I have a host of wonderful voices contributing to this project!
@@dshay7gamingandcomics well you do a great job and each voice sounds radically different than the other! Lole 2 different people! The acting, the actual voices you use, combined with the comic dialog- results in top notch entertainment! Hey, is there a fb group for this, it would be great! Like a fan group for this video series!
