One of my favorite runs of the comics, and one of my favorite sources for my custom figures, I make figures the toy company won't. I did custom khaki-uniformed Ripcord and Blowtorch (tougher than it looks, their uniforms aren't identical, Tim wears a necktie and a long sleeved shirt, Wallace has no tie, open collar, and his sleeves are rolled up.) I did also make crutches for Spirit. I made the "cobra cub scout" version of Billy, and his accessories are a flower bouquet that's also a holster, and a revolver that fits it. This is the first appearance of the other "Fred", we later learn (spoiler alert!) Wade Collins, this is also his red pinstripe suit, but I modeled my figure more like he is seen on the ferry with IR-scoped MP5. My figure is also equipped with a silenced pistol for his meeting with Snake-Eyes and Lonzo in D.C. later. (I like casual attire for Joes. I've made Lonzo, Clayton, and Snake-Eyes [rubber mask and sunglasses] in dress uniforms. I also made the Vietnam War Memorial statues but they're no longer poseable figures!) Oh! And I made an unmaskable Bongo/Candy! (I also made a separate Candy in her black skirt, loose belt, and red leopard top, and with longer hair. Have photographed her with a shotgun, appropriately.)
@@dshay7gamingandcomics When working on something with a theme, I like to get carried away, and build a full set. I may speak up again, around the early 50s in issues, the Springfield History Museum and the Serpentor project, for which there is only a Montezuma skeleton in the actual toy line!
Keep these coming. I absolutely love them.
Thank you! Working on more right now!
Bongo the Balloon Bear! 😆 I always loved the humor in the GI Joe comic. Always gave an extra charm to the whole saga.
Yeah, I always thought a little lightheartedness balanced things out well.
We all go home or nobody goes home.
One of my favorite issues.
Great job!!
Thank you!
