CIG got so greedy it's disgusting and i wouldn't be surprised if they would decide to screw $5 CCU's and said cheaper ships you can buy only as a whole standalone addition to maximaze their profits of course at the expense of fans, the fact we didn't had any $5 low cost ship update speaks for it self.. we will see if this is error or another predatory strategy deployed by marketing team to ensure digital goods are sold for as much as possible meanwhile retaining illusion of $5 discount lol... they really become a clowns with all decisions they are doing

5 hours later and the Gladius and ROC are still not usable as a CCU upgrade only straight to flyable warbond. Thankfully as I would have put in new money to start a couple CCU chains using them with the CSV. Thanks, CIG for doing that bug, or giving CCU gamers the middle finger. You saved my wallet from draining a lot more into your accounts.

I rode the CCU wave into a reclaimer for 220us. Its been a good IAE picked up a Pioneer, upgraded to an Ironclad, a Zeus CL and a cool paint for the F8 all in all I think im set up nice for the wipe

So without an Intrepid CCU on release, they're signalling they're not going to do sub-$100 CCUs. Next they're going to have to shut down or severely limit the gift system because the grey market will be the only way to get better prices on the sub-$100 bracket. I think CIG sees a lot of their discounts going to resellers for them to make money off of them, not realising that people buy grey market because, despite a decade trying to normalise it, $500 for a jpeg isn't sane.

Not being able to CCU up to the Warbond Gladius is kind of a bummer. Could really use that link..

Is there only 2 warbonds for today??? An odd strategy if it is compared to Invictus for the finale when I was able to build a decent chain for the Ironclad in that single day and still get a 27% discount.

So all the warbond ccus are the same except.. they removed the Starfarer Gemini warbond ccu. Odd they kept all the others but had to remove that one.

Not gonna lie, today's Warbonds made me so Happy, then when I saw there were no CCUs, so Sad. Missed opportunity for sure on them.

If this wasn't an accident and was intentional it's very insulting, the standalone Warbonds don't even have LTI.

Whoever the warbond person is at CIG is taunting the ccugame crowd with these standalones and they know it. "This is what you have wanted for years right?" Too bad, can't have it. They were awarded with an awful sales amount with a spike of 200k, even with the limited ship sales.

This is not a bug. This is intentional. It is better to buy a CSV with LTI and 5 dollar warbond then upgrade to gladius or roc for same price than to get either standalones without LTI

I think, CIG stopped providing CCUs for the ship with less than $100 in price years ago.

I was able to snatch up a Phoenix today. So I am happy. I picked up mostly all the game loop starter ships and some fighters and haulers for 4.0 wipe. We shall see how that goes. Thanks for all the awesome information, you are my goto CCU (upgrade) source. Be safe.

I am going to say it out loud.. CIG is closing off warbond CCU chaining period, I would start closing your chains folks because the next step is for them to start messing up your existing chains

The warbonds are not available for CCU, only to buy the ship outright. To the less initiated in the CCU game who might be looking at a ROC or Gladius for their fleet: Start with the Argo CSV-SM and then CCU your way up to a ROC or Gladius. You'll still have the $5 dollar savings and will end up with an LTI token instead of 10 year insurance.

did you check the CCU form a higher value ship to a lower already?

If this is just a bug, then fine and wow that'd be great! But if it's not a bug it's very frustrating. CIG is done with CCUs it seems.

afaik you can't own more than one glaive (standalone) or ccu. i bought a claive ccu (non warbond) and put it in buyback therefore i wasn't allowed to buy the warbond ccu. they really seem to try killing all the 5$ warbond ccu jumps especially in the lower area. the current gemini warbond is worse than the one offered at ilw this year. connected with the mole warbond we had the possibility to go from harbinger to gemini for 5+5$. haven't bought a single ccu this iae. even the older not so good warbonds are better than the current

It looks like CIG is trying to minimize the quantity of price points available deliberately to make the CCU game more difficult. you missed the C1 spirit is still available for warbond. but I agree there should be something sub $100

when you talk about pre release ship speculation, are you saying buy the CCU and melt it? then when you the ship goes up, you can reclaim it for a lower value? IE buy an liberator to Hammerhead non WB for $150. Then if the liberator goes up from 575 to 675, then you can buy it back for only 50?
