Thanks as always! Was a fun, redeeming day today for the PU. Was pretty nervous after yesterday. Looking forward to a clarifying post on spectrum about the exact details of LTI now.
@@Zi-TekGaming I think that's completely possible, however there's a lot of takes where they are saying LTI has been basically nullified, since any pledged ship now has permanent insurance. It's just too important of a question to rely on an ambiguous, off the cuff response from a random dude shouting from the audience.
Minus that adhoc answered question from the stage...I'd agree. It wasnt clear that all store purchased ships have LTI with warranty or that all store bought ships have the Insurance and warranty" they just discussed, and will last for the amount of years/months listed on your ships current insurance. I really want a full explanation and Q&A on this one.
Looking at that deployable cargo hold, I see that it is just enough to get a 2SCU high container in and out. Everyone should consider this when expecting what secondary vehicles can be transported in that ship.
also want to add that Starlancer MAX price will jump at IAE as it will become flyable and so price will go up ~10% more... so might be 5$ CCU for 50$ discount
CCU's and paints are worth keeping as a repository, locks in price, paints don't increase in price. CCU's are going to be phased out sometime, rumoured around Beta., or whatever CIG term it as now.
Probably the biggest selling point for me was the tier 3 medbeds. One of the smaller ships that's got some cargo, decent pilot controlled firepower with great turrets. Currently i mostly main a c2 for cargo and bunker runs always having to bring my c8 as a medbed. N scooping up cargo as i go.
Could you do a video going over some of your speculative CCUs for concepts? I noticed your Railen CCUs and am curious what others you're holding or think would be a good bet. I'm still quite new to the CCU game so I'm interested to hear your opinions and personal CCUs regarding concept ships or speculative price increases! Thanks for the info as always!
I can try. But the speculation part is just that. The gist is , just buy the CCU to the ship you want when it's a concept. It's guaranteed to go up. The concepts on that path though, that's where it gets tricky.
@@Zi-TekGaming Totally agree. I have no hesitation finishing my chains when they're concept, it's the concepts in between as you said that are tricky. That being said, they also offer the opportunity for some massive savings if/when prices increase. From my limited knowledge you can also cycle store credit and just put the speculative CCUs in buyback. Also speculation on ships that may be undervalued (I've heard railen, reclaimer, etc).
@@dysparity3671I try to include ships in my ccu chain that I actually want to fly for a period while waiting for the end ship to be released. It’s not 100% optimized savings, but I’ll live with 90% optimized chain if I can enjoy the pit stops along the way.
CCU game discord reminded me that the Terrapin will probably get a warbond from getting top 4 in Best in Show come IAE in November, so that'll be great to the Starlancer Max
I am hoping for some of those sub $100 bracket CCUs. If it doesn't happen by the end of this year, I'll probably just melt all the ones I have collected (up to a zeus MR) and take a C1 or similar. Would like something new though. Pretty apprehensive about getting anything bigger now with engineering gameplay becoming a thing. Also not looking to put in much more cash until meshing and/or the game proves itself with 4.0.
I agree about the cargo room. For how massive this ship is, it's a little underwhelming for only 224 SCU capacity. I think the way the elevator drops down makes this more a supply ship for delivering base materials (for example, given the theme of the day) where you'd be unloading on foot, not necessarily as a station-to-station cargo trader where volume and speed is key. So I'm fine with the omission. I'm sure CIG purposefully didn't add a tractor beam for balancing/ship diversity reasons.
Another cargo ship with a stupid middle pathway. It has 2 decks with lifts in the front and back between the cargo and vehicle holds. Use the lifts and top level to transvers the ship and add more cargo to the "cargo" ship. Access is there, so why restrict a cargo hold for a pathway?
I melted my 600i with lti. Bought a terapin for $220 cred. Bought a $5 cash warbound to starlancer max with lti. You get a freelancer max as a loaner. Then I Bought a ccu for $80 cred for starlancer max to tac. I'm going to wait and upgrade when the tac drops. Or you can upgrade now and get a freelancer mis as a loaner. Best part is if I don't like it, I'll still have the cred to get the 600i back with lti after the rework. Total new cost $5.
@dothedanmthing I think the question mark here is that you wrote above "Bought a $5 cash warbound to starlancer max with lti. " If you just bought a Terrapin, which doesn't have LTI, and a warbond upgrade from the terrapin to the Starlancer MAX, which doesn't have LTI. That ship won't have LTI. If you bught an LTI Terrapin previously and thats what you used then its possible though. I think the wording may have gotten mixed up is all.
@Zi-TekGaming you may very well be right. I just saw when I upgraded to the starlancer max it says "warbound edition ". This comes with the blue paint and lti. Nevertheless the ccu to the tac has 10yr. At 47 I'm not super worried about it either way.
From the videos it looks like the ATLS can fit into the cargo area but I'm just guessing by the videos. Plus the Starlancer has no integrated tractor beam.
i have a weird problem. I bought the Zeus ES but upgraded from the Spirit C1 not through warbond but outright upgrade but when i go to my hanger it has a melt value of $150 when the Zeus was $180? same with the Sabre Firebird that ship has a lower melt value than what i spent on it?
The ES right now is $175 standard price, $150 warbond. I think the Concept pricing may have been $130ish. That may be the difference. You probably bought a concept price $5 upgrade from the Spirit C1 ($125) to the Zeus ES ($130 at the time, i think). You can actually check it by hitting the exchange button. It shows how you got to where you are in the chain. Unless you cant melt it from using a referral reward. You can also look at the total value by looking at the upgrade button.
Normally i dont like how misc looks (cant stand the Hull series) but man the starlancer looks really good and at corsair prices is pretty hard to pass up
@@Zi-TekGaming Agreed, Drake ships always get shat on (mostly as a joke, but still) but they easily have some of the most realistic features and out of every ship in this game if i could fly one irl it'd have to be a drake
I can't stress this enough but buying these ships they will change the specs so many times before the settle on what they want for them so you are most likely not getting what you paid for.
@@Zi-TekGaming Lmao, do you not agree?? for a solo player? I was looking at upgrading my Taurus to the Max BUT its so much bigger, heavier, doesnt have a tractor beam etc.
@equinox3d585 compared to the Starlancer MAX yes the Taurus is a better solo ship. I just dislike the Connie's and was talking smack lol. They aren't bad and your point is valid. I just prefer smaller craft for solo. I have real concerns about things Connie sized, and solo, when engineering comes online. I would not take out the Max solo after it releases. Way too huge. Like a Cat.
Boys, stop buying ships. It incentivizes management to keep taking forever to release the game. Wait until the game comes out and then work for your dream ship in game. You’ll most likely find that more satisfying anyways.
CIG got up on stage for a user conference when their product software had been down on production for days? Who does that? Why would anyone buy anything from them with real money with bonds or not? Don’t support this crap. They rushed a build out that was terrible just for sales of ships like the Zeus. Then broke the game. Save your money folks.
The starlancer looks like a mini endeavour detachable front cabin
The MISC language really carries over on these new ships.
I think I'll take Avenger Titan for my first ship
Its a hell of a starter ship!
That's what mine was. I still love flying it, 1.5 years later.
Avenger Titan is a killer ship!
The current pack is a pretty good deal!
Great choice, let's you try out just about everything the game has to offer.
Thanks as always! Was a fun, redeeming day today for the PU. Was pretty nervous after yesterday. Looking forward to a clarifying post on spectrum about the exact details of LTI now.
Yeah I am going to do a video just on the insurance stuff. To me it seems LTI will be much more useful now, than what we were expecting a year ago.

I did the same before the elevators broke. I haven't tried in a while now
Thanks again for the coverage. I picked up some Terrapins to Max since its gonna be best in show. Hoping for some warbond deals during IAE.

terrapin was also on the ship voting, so we know it is gonna come up with a sale.
Yup. I should have covered that from a speculation perspective.
Did you notice, no has said anything yet, but the pioneer went up 50 dollars in price.
Cant be CCU'd to so its not on my radar. I'll try to weave it into a vid. Thanks.
Roll on IAE I need a few MOLEs and hopefully terrapins (as it did well in ship week) need to plug some gaps in CCU chains
Good chance we will get both but it's very likely the Terrapin will get a wb. Here's hoping!
@@Zi-TekGaming yup that's my thoughts as well

All good points! Spirit is a sweet ride and is a smaller crew required compared to the Zeus.
I was wanting more cargo room for the starlancer max, and still no tractor beams in a dedicated hauler.
That no tractor beam thing threw me off a bit for sure

If i have a vanguard harbinger ccu would it be better to go Aquila or Mole to the Starlancer Tac?
The mole tends to get a warbond every year at some point. So I would lean towards it, but only slightly.
