Enjoyed this a lot. We have a newly opened coastal sea trout fishery over here on the firth of forth too so ill be trying some of this.

That ‘brown foam’ is an algae that mullet love, I’m in Cornwall and when you see that on beaches, the fish are not far away. Our water is much cleaner though 😂😂

Great stuff! Word of caution as someone who has been there, wading on mud flats can be difficult and I would highly recommend waders and especially laced wading boots as wellies can b difficult to pull out when they get stuck

Its hardly flyfishing is it? If you just going out pinging weighted flies, with no casting or flyline, you may aswell take a whip rod. Stop valling it Flyfishing when its not

Great video guys! I discoved something very similar on my doorstep! It was always polluted years ago with no life whatsoever. A couple of years ago I spotted herons and kingfishers regularly on this tiny stream. I decided to try fishing it. So far my bigest fish was a 2.5lb perch!. Nobody goes there! It's a jungle but such an exciting place! I know nothing regarding fly fishing, is it legal to use flies/lures during coarse closed season as I'd love to try them.

Hello, I am thinking about buying one . I am going to pair it up with a thomas contact II 10.6 feet. Are you still happy with the reel? They dont sell this in the USA so I would have to order from the UK. Great video. I gave you thumps up and subscribed.

18 years or so ago I was SWFFing for bass in The Marsh there on a Charlie Clouser but honestly never thought of the mullet there. Shall have to go back home sometime and have a go! Great vid!
