    Intake?

It's the Windtunnel intake from CPP. They were only made for a short time. I got lucky and found a guy that had an unused one for sale.

I got 65 Polara 440 with the 318 Poly. The engine is old and tired. It will like good on a stand as it's way to expensive to rebuild. I just put a 318 out of a 70 B-body in her.

Do you have to take steering shaft out because I couldn't get pin out of universal joint and I kinda got my punch stuck in there as well 😅

It could be done. But it's much easier if you can get it out of the way. Especially if the u joint is worn out.

I know this video has some age on it, but first I came across it. I started steering a wd45 at the age of 4 in 1959 when my uncle would spread manure from cleaning the dairy barn. I can tell you how many hours I spent on the seat of one from cultivating, mowing hay, crimping, raking, disking. We had both a narrow front and wide front. Both were sold at farm auction after my uncle passed away a little over 15 years ago. Man would I love to have that tractor in my barn. Very nice job.

I enjoy hearing stories like this. I grew up around this tractor. It was grandpas chore tractor, and had a trip bucket loader back then. This one was always my favorite. I'm glad it got kept when he retired. He kept this one, and a JD 50 that he used to "farm" his sweet corn patch that he maintained in the old cattle yard.

if you could PM me some basic dimensions and good pictures of that intake, that would be great. some buddies and myself are racing a 66 coronet in the 24 hours of lemons and we’re wanting to cast a 4 barrel intake, but they’re almost $1000 if you can even find them

How wild do you plan on going with your build? A Ported 2 bbl intake with a 500 holley on it is more than adequate for most builds. Mine is pretty extreme.

@@sparksfireandbalingwire8467 the league were entering the car into has been getting faster and faster over the past couple of years, and this car obviously won’t be able to corner very well; so we’re wanting it to be pretty fast on the straightaways. we have access to a machine shop, lathe, and a forge so we can make a 4 barrel intake, but we don’t have any good dimensions.

Really appreciate all the work you put into making sure bushings are replaced and that things like the steering, pedals etc are nice and tight. It was cool to watch you machine the shafts and other holes in previous videos. I would love to someday drive an AC that has had the same amount of care put into it as this one and see how much better it feels compared to our fleet of unrestored ones that we use for various things on the farm here in northern Iowa. Also thanks for the vids. I’ve been binging through the entire playlist you put together on this tractor. I have a later WD that they put the WD 45 transmission in in the factory. I will definitely reference some of these videos in the future when I have to take things apart. Especially the starter one! Thanks again!
