I would have done the same and double checked their work. Personally, I don't trust anyone's work, there are *always* exceptions and mistakes. Just gotta make sure they don't happen to you 🙂👍 Nice work Jason. Take care and happy wrenching 🔧🔩
Glad you're getting it sorted. The late 50s/early 60s certainly produced some innovative cylinder head designs - Mopar hemi and poly, Buick nailhead, Chevy W-motor, Ford high riser and tunnel port.
That’s amazing after sharing what you paid in a previous video to have the machine shop do all that work for you only to pick up all that debris out of the motor afterwards is unacceptable in my book. Glad you stopped where you were at and remedied the issue!
That was beyond disappointing Cody.. it had fti be overlooked, plain and simple. Everything else those guys did was outstanding. I'm just glad I caught it.
May be observant but you work with the tools you have and many an engine has run thousands of miles with less than perfect specs if you can get with in .0001 its no big deal we are not building space shuttles here.. Nor F1 race cars.

You are right, Zane. I don't trust anyone's work either.... Including my own a lot of times!

All neat designs. Wish there were more parts available for them!

i have done the same with the lifter bores before
I'm just glad they cleaned up easy! Turned out to be a good thing. I would have never known they forgot to clean the oil galleys.

My thoughts too! Many people don't realize how small. 0001 actually is, or how insignificant it is in most cases.
