Hi and thanks for the question. 🤔. The Niro is smaller than the Corolla Cross. The Seltos is probably closer in size. I do like the NIro styling and if the smaller size works then definately something you should check out. One thing though - if you have or will have home access to a charger then the plug in hybrid is the one to get and will still be cheaper than a comparatively equipped Corolla cross. And it drives pretty well. The regular hybrid is rather pokey and does not drive as well as the Corolla cross.

It’s not the quickest shifting but it’s not always trying to get into the highest gear as soon as possible, and does pretty well at guessing the best gear without hunting.

Thanks for watching. The MPGs we get are very typical of most AWD CR-Vs in the US. This is the 2.4 liter gas engine. What engine does yours have? Sounds like some great road tripping with great efficiency. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for watching. Lexus TX has basic lane centering and stop and go radar cruise control. Hands free for 15-20 seconds and it will ask you to grab the wheel. It is basic but performs fairly well. Thanks for the question.

Congrats on your new Mazda. No, it should not be jerky. It does take a few hundred miles to break in. So maybe get some miles on it and if it’s still acting that way get it checked out.

Congrats on you Mazda. The premium is all anyone need, so great choice. Wireless chargers in most cars are hit or miss. Maybe a different phone will do better. We have iPhones and they are also inconsistent. Sometimes the case messes it up but most newer cases are wireless charger friendly. Thanks for watching and enjoy your CX-5

Thanks for watching! Let me ping Lexus this week to see if I can get something on the schedule. I have driven the IS250 and really like how it drives. Interior room is on par with the 3 sedan. Both have about the same quality. The IS is getting a little dated interior wise though. The issue is that once you start adding Lexus packages to them to get equivalent kit to the Mazda3 premium plus turbo it’s get into the 50s really fast. But they do look great and with rear wheel drive it’s a good drive. For Lexus I would look into a used one as they are extremely reliable. The 350 with the 6 just adds unnecessary weight over the front wheel. It is butter smooth though. So it’s all about cost. I would lean towards a used IS at about the same price as the new 3 but only if it had good option packages.

@@BeyondTheTestDrive yeah I would for sure get something used, regardless of what I ultimately decide on. Mazda has a leg up on the interior for, I'd be curious as to which car is quieter on the road? I'm guessing lexus? anyway looking forward to your future videos!

Don’t disagree. The EPA city loop is not too representative of real stop and go. You will see in my full review videos of the turbo Mazdas that I comment that these are very sensitive to your foot and driving conditions. Thanks for watching.

If it’s the RX400h you are referring to it does weigh less so it should do better. But horsepower was only in the high 200s and official 0-60 times were in the 6.5 to low 7s. The RX hybrid V6 paved the way for this TX’s drivetrain.

buddy it’s a family car. a 6 second 0-60 is more than enough power to get the family to the beach and still have some fun

a v6 charger is slower than this by the way

Thanks for watching and for the nice comment. Yea, the Bose is dropping fast from all but the highest trim levels in all Mazda models. AWD is great but many don’t need it. As a small company Mazda is always modifying their lineup and trim levels to see what sticks. The chip shortage is pretty much over so we may see the Bose return on more trim levels in the future. Pedal is floored. Mazda turbos will upshift well short of the redline. Manual shifting it will get it a little closer but it will still auto up shift. Power is dropping off dramatically above 5000 rpm. Thanks for watching.
