And my 2022 is about to cross 90,000 miles. Yes I drive a lot. Manual transmission. Gotta love it. 🙌🏻

Using your wife as kind of a voice-over is pretty cool. Sounds like a professional car show or something haha. I bet she's happy to be included in your side job work

Thanks! Yea, the long term plan is to keep our POV style but she’ll be more of the face of the channel as we grow. She’ll augment the POV drives with more focus on features and automotive news. She loves cars and loves to drive as much as I do and brings a much needed different perspective. This Mini vid was from a press event quick drive, so not much time to shoot the cars. Should have a 2024 Miata RF quick drive out tomorrow. We are growing pretty well and it’s due to awesome support from viewers like you. So a mega mega thanks!

Any way you can test out the mid tier sport sedans? (Lexus is350, audi s4, bmw mi340, Acura TLX ect…) these I have always been curious how their noise isolation was in comparison. I feel no one ever talks about how quiet these cars are

Would love to test those out. My guess is that they are all pretty quiet on the meter. I have driven the BMW and Lexus. I don’t recall being that impressed with the Lexus interior sound. It is such a small car that it does not have that typical Lexus quietness, but still pretty good. We’ll see if we can schedule a TLX.

Come along for a quick spin and first impressions drive of the 2024 Mini Hardtop John Cooper Works with the excellent six speed manual. While this does not have the pure sports car open top rear wheel drive feel of the Mazda Miata, is it just as fun?

very cool but 228bhp for a 2024-year 2.0L turbo is really disappointing

Thanks for watching! This is fairly typical for today’s 2.0 turbos. Mercedes base model 2.0 are around 220 hp, BMW (this engine) has 255hp in the 330i. VW has 241 in their 2024 GTI. This 2.0 can easily take a tune and get it close to 300 hp. The problem with this is the torque on the manual clutch and getting the power down to through the small front wheels. But to your point, this can easily be more and Mini has detuned this slightly.

Nice car if you don't like reliability and your money.
