- Sure the CX-5 is way overdue for a redesign but does it really need it? The brand spanking new CX-50 shares its drivetrains so it must be up to date in that department. Come along for a point of view highway drive and fuel economy test. Even though its design is a little long in the tooth, the CX-5 still competes with all the new shiny models from Honda, Toyota, and Kia. And the turbo makes this a terrifically fun car to drive.

Try this test in traffic. That is where turbos fall on their face and this will drop to 18-22 mpg
Don’t disagree. The EPA city loop is not too representative of real stop and go. You will see in my full review videos of the turbo Mazdas that I comment that these are very sensitive to your foot and driving conditions. Thanks for watching.
On the hwy, I get 30 to 32 mpg. In the city 22 to 23

How do the Mazda 3 seats compare to other Mazda you've tested overall? From what I heard the CX-5 have the worst of the bunch
