  • This is the first of 1 of 4 videos that will provide an in depth review of the 2024 Mazda 3 Turbo Hatchback Premium Plus. Although we own a 2022 non-turbo 3 sedan, we have never driven or spent any time with the turbo. Will it make us want to upgrade? We also do a size by size comparison with the 3 sedan in case you are on the fence between the sedan or hatch.

Welcome to first of 4 videos covering our week with this 2024 Turbo. Sturdy with Claws is our first impression. Sturdier and more substantial feeling than the typical compact with an excellent and active AWD system. And we do a fun space and cargo comparison with our long term sedan. If you are on the fence about turbo versus non turbo or hatch versus sedan we’ll be working to get you answers.

If I had to choose it would be the sadan only because I don't like the roundness of the hatchback

This thing feels super balanced, fast, quick, and comfortable. The seat setup really makes you feel like you're in a cockpit. Its a great car.

(Canada) I have a 2024 Mazda3 Sport GT 2.5l manual (only available on the GT), I love it. Presently averaging 6.3l/100 km (still winter time with mild condition) going 10-15 km/h above the posted speed limit. 😁 Ps. I was doing the same average (winter) with my 2022 Corolla L 1.8l manual with less power. 😎

Thanks for watching and sharing your experience. Sure that manual is fun to drive. All the best and happy motoring.

We have a 2016 CX9 GT Turbo, which we're trading in for the 2024 Mazda 3 Turbo Sport - We test drove both of the GT Mazda 3 models, difference was one had Turbo and one did not. HUGE difference with the turbo. Turbo gave this model the 'solid, tight' feel. We found that the non-turbo version felt and sounded like it was having severe issues when put to the test. We get ours soon and couldn't be more excited

Nice comparison! The hatch has grown on me some but I still prefer the sedan, and in fact I just bought one! I guess you could say I split the difference between the two cars - I went for the naturally aspirated engine but with AWD.

Congrats! We chose the sedan also but this hatch is quite the looker. Long term we are happy we chose the sedan. Enjoy your 3 and happy motoring.

The 2024 Sedan now has AWD as well. Theyre both sexy cars. Especially the carbon versions with red leather. Im about to buy one but I cant decide between the 2. I go back and forth.

Cool video man! One thing missing for that price is really the ventilated seats on the top trim. Those seats must be very hot on a big sunny summer day with that Nappa leather. Also I’m taking the hatch because without even the epic style I find it better for the smaller size and the space (meaning folding the seats when I really need space because usually I only got a few things that fits nicely on the back seats). Also I don’t know what y’all talking about the hatchback looks way better than the sedan lol. I feel like the hatch is the sporty and sedan luxury (which makes sense cause Mazda intended it that way even by a 6th gear ratio difference). Also I have a vague memory of a traffic assistance for that car… something like steering and moving/braking for you in high density traffic… could you delve into that in another video? I forgot to ask last time 🙃
Yes this comment is very long

Thanks for all your support and great comments. There will be a full review plus a highway performance/gas mileage video . This hatch does have traffic jam assist which is basically a lane centering and stop and follow cruise control so I will cover that.

The solidarity of the Mazda 3 sold me back in 2006. They are wonderful little cars and fun to drive.

Sedan gang. Just picked up a 24 carbon turbo sedan ( zircon sand with terracotta interior). The turbo models come with bigger exhaust tips.

Sweet. That zircon sand is a unique color. Thanks for watching! Enjoy your 3 and happy motoring.
