TACTICAL DOG MOBILITY | Moving as a unit in tactical dog training
How to employ mobility training methods for working dogs in tactical dog training. In this video I start on mobility training with my working dog with the aim of working towards tactical dog training. The foundation of mobility in working dog training is crucial for building tactical skills at a later stage. Tactical skills and discipline is just as important for dogs in preparedness for a bug out or survival egress situation as it is for humans. If you're preparing for a bug out situation, you should prepare your animals too. I discuss the principals of how to employ tactical obedience and mobility training. Having a good foundation of obedience skills you a great head start in further mobility tactical training like tracking, protection or even if you would just like a well behaved dog around your family.

    Rev 14:9 And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, Rev 14:10 The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: Rev 14:11 And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

    11:03 Here’s a tip for when Hunter got off the bed: instead of repeating yourself/the command, SILENTLY place him back on the bed. This includes having a grip on his collar and pushing his butt down/back. I learned this from the YT channel Beckman’s Dog Training It’s like a child. You shouldn’t keep repeating “clean your room”. One and done! You’re doing a great job. Thank you for motivating me and the military resource

    I think leaving in the problems you had was much more educational than if you had edited them out,. One question for the knowledgable good people here... In a tracking evade scenario that would take place over 2-3 days or more, with no fire poss, would you say it's worthy to follow a water stream to conceal your foot track? Despite the ‘risks’ that comes with wet feet, wet socks & shoes?… Great video, thanks! Cheers

    Hello Clarice, Hunter is definitely coming along in his training. Congratulations to both of you. I am wondering if there is a reference, manual or something that you can direct me to explaining the reason why you want a dog between your legs. I understand your description of using your leg/knee to keep or direct Hunter. I have in the past had a few times where I nearly tripped over a dog getting "Under Foot" So as I see it, either side of me would seem to be a better position of control and maybe a better place to "Launch" a dog if needed. I have seen a few videos where a woman has a dog between her legs that does a dance routine or a cute display for judging events at a dog show. However this is not a dog show event we are training a dog for. I also have to ask myself what dog breed is First, Second, Third or not acceptable for such training? I have done well with Black Labs in the past. But they are very happy go lucky dogs and have what is called a "Soft Mouth" A German Shepherd does not have a "Soft Mouth" so does a GS make a better dog for this kind of "Service"? I admire but am not fond of Belgian Malinois and they seem to be the dog of choice for Military Dog Service. So I guess I need a good book to help me get into a mental state for selecting and training a "Service Dog" I would really like to know this stuff before I decide on a pup. I have been thinking about getting a dog again for a long time. So seeing you and Hunter working together has got me thinking again. Oh, As far as your saying you have had a few experiences at the wrong end of a weapon. I am very sorry to hear that. I have been in one situation many years ago now and I wish this on no one. Having a gun pulled on you changes you inside. Depending on the type of person you are will determine how much the event will change you. Merry Christmas and I wish you an your group a very Happy New Year.

      @LiveReady 11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi Robert, thanks for your comment. I'm going to add a military field guide link to the bottom of my answer here for your perusal. It's outdated but gives you some background. German Shepherds used to be the only acceptable breed for military work but as you mention the Malinois' and some other breeds have also been used. I believe they have even in recent years employed Jack Russells for explosive detection. In a recent conversation with a person who works a lot with military/service dogs, Malinois were described as 'don't think just do' where GS's would still think before running off a cliff. As far as other breeds go, I've owned a very loving and protective Rottweiler before but I never trained her. They're great dogs though. As for center heel, I find if my attention is really on something else I can communicate with Hunter on direction and motion much better when he's in center heel. It's something that would come down to personal preference though. He is also way more focused on me when he's in center heel. My advice, teach your new doggy heel on both sides and center so that no matter the circumstances you can work together. You're right, having a gun pulled on you changes you. Thanks for sharing your story and do let me know when you get your doggy! C cinotecniamilitar.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/02/fm20_20_1960.pdf

    Depending on the ground and vegetation, when you want to get off a track to put in a hook, you can try to jump to a position parallel to the track and hopefully not leave additional sign, so your tracks end fairly abruptly. This can be employed if you have a group - e.g. a patrol so the entire group gets off the track at once, although another method with a group is for one or two members to drop off every now and then - again it depends on the terrain as to how far between groups dropping off so the size of the group gradually gets smaller. These were standard techniques for Aussie sections and platoons about to put in a harbour or a hook or hasty ambush in the says before the GWOT.
