We take so much for granted. Only 1 year ago cyclone Gabrielle hit New Zealand. A friend of mine who lives only 2 hours from me was isolated. No running water, no internet, no electricity. Money machines stopped working and for a week it was cash only. In some small towns locals even set up temporary check points to help increase security as police and army were struggling. Fights at gas stations and supermarkets…. Thank you 🇿🇦 🇳🇿

You're 100% correct. Bees usually nest within 5km of water. I like your approach. Gear, chosen wisely, will last a long time and may make things a little more convenient to start with. As for the mark situation, the last thing you would want active is any form of technology..that includes tracking units in vehicles. The essential "primitive" skills will basically become all you can rely on. In that event having at least some seeds in your bug out bag will eventually become a valuable food source in the long run, don't need much to sustain a great and renewable source of food. Will take time obviously but its something you would not have had otherwise.
I woke up from this type of prepping a long time ago, practically every thing she is doing has her dependent on the grid, in her position I would do everything in my power to learn from the true survivers in Africa, the tribes and legit bush people, they don't need the gear and huge camera crew to survive, if it ever hits the fan, all that BS gear won't help, I found out the hard way during the aftermath of Hurricane Maria.

@LiveReady I understand it may seem risky to try to approach some of these tribes, especially for a female asking for tribal male survival skills, that's where the camera crew comes in, say you are filming a documentary on tribal survival skills,it might just work, then imitate what they are doing from video. Today, my modern survival equipment is, battery operated tools and wind and solar to run everything, I also prepare spare parts....I can literally build anything off grid out of scrap.
