does the spring have to be the exact 1 used in the video, they are unavailable in the link posted.
@@fiftycalibre01 No. You could use most any spring that fits. I bet you could steal one from a ball point pen and it would work.
What handguard is that?
@@FX4_outdoors whatever came on the palmetto PCC. I just chopped it to fit the suppressor.
This is just what I needed....now where to get the tactical sewing machine

Nice work.
@@TrzCharlie thanks! This rig is still working well for me.
My next investment is definitely going to be a sewing machine. I am proficient with needle work by hand but haven't used a machine since i took home economics my 8th grade year. I have an old singer sphinx from the late 1800s or early 1900s I should restore and use. I think you have inspired me to finally do just that. Thanks for sharing your brilliant ideas with us.
@@Esotericgeminitwo sewing kit on an antique machine would be super cool.
Awesome instructions! Thankyou, i just hand sewed mine together. What in wondering now is maybe im rethreading it back on incorrectly because it slides to easily once i let the rifle go it slides down to become loose. Either way i am glad i found this video and your channel. Thankyou!

@@thecupcakeman69 not much harder. You would just have to leave an allowance for the zipper and be really careful about the edges lining up

@@SaikawaYasashi good to hear!
Are you me???
@@ThriftShopOperator 👉👈 hmmm I’ll have to think on that one.
The front trigger isn't setting due to the actuator lever is raised too high within the side-lock. Turn the screw behind the front trigger counterclockwise one full turn. The front trigger should release at 3.5lbs, the rear trigger set should set the front trigger to release at 7oz. pull.
This is awesome! Just subscribed

I tried to make one of these and quickly found out that it ain’t worth the headache of weaving that shock cord through these parts. 1/8in shock doesn’t fit the holes, aglet or not.

How has the plastic held up? Have you tried to aneal the plastic to make it more robust? I also wonder if a pinch style picatinny system would work better. More bulk, but it would allow you to replace the pinch plate and continue to use the main body. But at $30, make a few for back ups.
What prevents yhe kydex insert from working its way out?
@@cigamkcalb9774 the Velcro
I'm late to the party, but these videos are great! Something else you could do with the front pocket - add a zipper. I have seen inserts for the JPC 2.0 that are small zippers with hook and loop on both sides. This could make it a little easier to get into the pouch.
@@Drunk-Mosquitos never too late. Thanks for the input.
Great video!
@@jw757vb thanks!
I don't have a ton of experience with sewing. I started out hand-sewing patches and buttons on uniforms and have mostly figured it out on my own. When I buy a sewing machine, what sort of things should I be looking for?
@@brendandodson6553 I’m probably not the best person to ask. I have only ever used a couple different units. Walking foot is a great feature but it will be hard to find on a cheap unit.
I bought a sheet of plastic off amazon and did a similar thing because I couldn't justify spending $25 per light cap. It's not so pretty, and if you ND light at night, it won't block all of it, but it does well enough for those without 3D printers and took about 10 minutes. If I could come up with a way to make a ring around it like your 3D printed one, it'd be perfect. Maybe I could cut out more layers and glue them together to make the ring?
@@brendandodson6553 sounds like a good plan. I like the ingenuity.
I do not aspire to discharge a Kentucky long rifle, bur I enjoy learning about the shooting process. Several of my ancestors were documented as being long rifle makers in western Virginia and eastern Kentucky, so a video like this is a wonderful find. Thank you

@@nathandrel that’s awesome! I’m glad you’ve found it useful.
You are holding your rifle incorrectly. The toe of the stock should not be touching your pectoral. The crescent moon shape is meant to be up against your upper arm. Not your shoulder. Then bring your head down to the rifle to get a sight picture. You’ll find this way is more comfortable and far more accurate. It will also have a much closer point of aim in relation to the point on impact.
Good to know! Thank you
