Just finished building this. Works pretty well on a full size Dagger. I used some old, dull 1/16" drill bits for the pins. This project definitely shows me I need to do some tuning on the ol' 3D printer; I had to do a ton of sanding on the button and latch. Thanks for the files!
Printed it and it's awesome! The one critique I have is needing to orient the screw flanges on the light. On my pistols this leave the light very loose, to the point where it's rattling back and forth on the rail. I relieved it so that the screw orientation doesn't matter and it still retains the light well.
I was hesitant to recess it that much but I’m glad it worked out for you. I had someone else tell me you can get flush screw from streamlight and avoid the problem altogether.
@@thriftyoperator637do you know where you can get the flush screw? I checked stream lights website and didn’t see anything. Also brilliant design thanks for the hard work brother!

Another great design!! I ended up going up to an 1/8th drill bit for the pivot piece and 1/16th on the holster for the vir model. I found that it was trying to pivot off the bar instead of pivot freely. Probably mostly depends on the printer and print settings.

@thriftyoperator637 How did you dimension this? I made new blinker housings for my motorcycle, and the number of trial and error fitment prints I had to do was appalling. I just used calipers and paper layout drawings. Do you have any tips?
oh and for anyone watching this down the road...you MAY also be able to use a small roll pin instead of the stainless pin. Mine is currently printing and I'm trying to use what I already have in the house
I just printed this and am having some issues with the locking tab, it barely engages the light because the bottom half of the locking tab is hitting the light activation switch. I am guessing the locking tab is suppose to interface entirely on the light above the activation switch but on mine nearly half of it is hitting the switch which prevents it from fully locking. Not sure what I did wrong, I am using a TLR-1 HL Streamlight light.
@@thriftyoperator637 Yes it is, I can actually see with a flashlight that the locking tab is hitting the activation switch preventing it from popping out more. There is a very small amount of engagement, but it's small enough that I am worried that if something were to hit it that it would jar it enough that it could fall out. In order to fix it I'd have to file down the lower half of the locking tab by like 1/8" Maybe I am being overly worried, how much engagement should the locking tab have on the back of the light? Right now it's 1/16"
@@fuser662 the tab should be able to fully extend. I would have to measure to be sure but it should have more than a 1/16th. Feel free to DM me a picture on Instagram.

@thriftyoperator637 one last question- is there a reason you printed it in PETG instead of ABS? I would have thought ABS would have been a better choice due to environmental factors and heavy use?
