    I don't have a ton of experience with sewing. I started out hand-sewing patches and buttons on uniforms and have mostly figured it out on my own. When I buy a sewing machine, what sort of things should I be looking for?

      @@brendandodson6553 I’m probably not the best person to ask. I have only ever used a couple different units. Walking foot is a great feature but it will be hard to find on a cheap unit.

    Question: Why not sew the velcro on first before the elastic? Then you wouldn't have to mess around with pulling the elastic loops out the way. Or I could be missing something obvious in which case please enlighten me.
    Super appreciate all your content btw, keep it up.

    • @thriftyoperator637
      @thriftyoperator637  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      my sewing machine grabs the material really tightly with its walking foot. This damages the hook velcro directly under where I sew so I try not to make too many passes through the middle of the velcro.

    Ive always been curious what it takes to flare the magwell like the 3 gunners do. Im not sure how much you plan on modifying that shotgun but Im definitely interested in seeing more of it

      Unfortunately TH-cam won’t let me post videos where I am modifying anything on a gun but, I agree, that is something to look into.

    Neat video! The piece of velcro that you attach your cards to, how did you attach it to your shotgun?

    Im just getting into nylon stuff now so i will 100% be making this, but wouldnt it be a better idea to have maybe 3/4 width or 1/2 width elastic? Trying to get birdshot seems easy but there isnt a ton of room. If you try to stick slugs in there that are shorter than birdshot, i'd think youd have a harder time. Not trying to backseat drive, just a though. Love your videos by the way! You've well and truly earned a subscription.
