I love real gages... I can't stand the Ipad look. Every car coming out has them now too..
Sadly, the iPads are not even mounted in a clean design (not embedded in the dash). They stick out, and it's tacky
Best video ever!! No bs, like everyone else trying to get this and that and the bs wanna be logos! Awesome job fellas!!!
Can’t thank you enough. Not knowing what to do, a couple years ago, I simply just replaced the fluid in the reservoir of my 2012 Frontier. Now I know how to do it the proper way. Much appreciated. 8:22
Anytime 😊 If you have any questions, feel free to ask
Thank you for making this, learned a lot.
Dam Dude , Top Notch info I been looking for years !! Thank you so much !!🙏 Now I can do stuff I’ve been dreaming to do ! And yes I subscribe to your channel , god bless and best of luck !!
Thank you very much for the support 😃
Gdd
Global Developmental Delay (GDD)?
Do you burp the system every time you flush the system with the distilled water?
Yes
ive installed two aftermarket radios at this point and none of them got power to even turn on. TEST POWER BEFORE YOU PUT EVERYTHING BACK TOGETHER.
Odd. Were they from the same vendor?
@@mcgurrentertainment nah different vendors. everything was basically identical. except for a plug not having a connector. ( the second radio i bought had one 0 but either way. when i connected the power cable only. no power. did not turn on. 2014 nissan altima s. it should still work.
Agreed. I'm sorry to hear about the defective units.
well put together video, and thanks
Thank you
Hello just a quick question when I did this on my 2013 Nissan Sentra. I unplug a wire and I don’t know where it goes in my car isn’t starting. Please help me
Can you describe the wire?
Gotta love when someone is making How to’s still on my old a$$ 2008 Xterra. Makes me feel good
😁
CarPlay doesn’t work only shows verification approved and that’s it
Try resetting the Bluetooth connection on the radio Apple doesn't like talking with Android devices sometimes
@ thx
Nissan dealer wanted to charge me $90 for this😭😭😭😭
Wow...that's rough
I always thought this should be a thing and turned out it was 🤦
It is a cool feature
Thanks for this, I bought a similar device, the box said it was just plug and play, I tried that, and it wasn't. I came here looking for answers, and here it was. Nowhere in my instructions did it mention pairing the adapter via bluetooth, so I went back out and tried your way. Bingo, I got wireless AA, so thanks to you, Amazon won't be getting a return 🤣 Thanks for taking the time to document the procedure ❤
I'm glad it helped ☺️
I liked the lizard and the spider 😁
Buen video ! Muy completo.
Thank you
I install the unit but now my A/C don’t work what do I do helppppp
Check your connections and fuses
Is this an auto?
Yes
I’m an aircraft composite technician and regarding the layers and the thickness. I think it’s an overkill just too much two layers are good enough. It’s a fairing
Ok
The deck lids always end up scratched so this is a great how too Vid for sure...
My skin was itching like crazy by the time you were at the end. Fibreglass work is very labour intensive and you have to wear your dust mask, safety glasses along with a triple action respirator. Also you have to do it in a well ventilated area and your temp should not be too cold or too hot or you might have to adjust your hardener amount.
Yep
Why not 3d print the plug?
Because that is way too easy....and I don't have a 3D printer (yet). 😁 However, it is a great way to create custom parts and make molds. Once the workload cools down, I plan on looking into a decent 3D printer. Any recommendations?
@mcgurrentertainment I've been busy with other things for awhile so I'm sort of out of the loop but I did alot of custom firmware upgrades to my artillery Sidewinders a few years back and got them running really nice. Look for something with a solid frame and large build area. Sidewinder is 300x300x400mm for example. I'd say just read forums and see what people are saying is hot right now.
Thank you very much
Do you have to disconnect the thing under the hood or can you just leave the car turned off 😅
That's up to you
Here’s the thing, sound bars are a thing because they are easy and do increase the quality of the sound of a tv, add a small 8” or 10” powered subwoofer and it’s good enough. I did this for my parents with my siblings as a Christmas present and it sounded 1000% better than the speakers on their brand new tv. Now I myself love audio and that’s why I’m building my setup now using used AVR and trying my hand at building my own center channel and Dolby height speakers while using old JBL series 8083 theatre speakers as left and right. I think it’ll be pretty badass but it’s way more involved.
That would be cool
My 2016 had 2 motors replaced under warranty. Each time, I got about 3 months of normal use and the issue came back. Added dielectric grease to the motor connector after the last replacement, which got me a few more months, but now it's back. I used so much dielectric grease I had to clamp the connector to get it to latch, and it STILL came back. I'm wondering if it's one of the wires or connectors in whatever sensor turns the interior lights on, and drops the window when you open the door. My interior lights stay off, but I'm thinking it's one of the other wires. There's no way it's the motor itself after all of these issues. Also, dielectric grease is non-conductive and designed to be used around electrical connectors. Shouldn't be an issue if it gets in the connector.
Very odd. Is it both windows still? And I'm guessing it's no longer under warranty.
awesome video. very informative, but damn, with my impatience and ADHD and everything else...i would never make it through the whole process!
Lol, thank you. It's a process...
I have a 2009 Frontier here in Mobile Alabama I need to put some spark plugs in my truck
Cool. Let me know how it goes
Does this feature come on 5.0 and other mustangs? Or just a specific model
Both. All Mustangs except for the base model
@ ok thank you so much great vid too💯
One way to make this go faster is to presiak your mat with a roller and then stab it into the mold because most of the time goes into soaking the mat when you use a brush. You can soak multiple layers at the same time and apply them all together.
Gotcha
0:48 "I wanted to recreate the exact same one... make the exact same thing" Proceeds to not use bolts and bond the lot together to make a plug - mould - part.
Correct. The original design was not intended for permanent installation. So, we decided to go a step further to make it structurally sound.
How much time did this take overall? If it's 4-5 days how much would you charge to make a profit?
This was an off/on project due to other projects being a priority. But if I had to guess, start to finish... maybe 10 days. That includes the plug, mold, and the part. If a part was being made, maybe 3-4 days in the background. Where are you located?
Just installed mines …works great 🫡 thanks for the simple video
Nice!!! 👏 Kudos
badass work man
Thank you!!!!
Mine didnt work maybe something else is broken, windows stays down and after a couple of rides if goes back up 😢
Hard to say. Could be the window regulator
Is there a reason why in all the Altima oil change videos no one lifts the car by the center lift point?
I know the main reason for me was having room to work, especially for camera gear and lighting. It's hard to get good camera angles with the jack stands in the way.
I have watched plenty of videos car repair. This has to be the best I have ever seen very detailed and not in a rush.
Thank you 😊
As others have said, absolute legend ! Worked a treat on my UK/RHD 2017 GT 5.0 Convertible. This problem had been getting worse over the months to the extent it would drain the battery overnight with the window going up and down. Survived the week removing the window fuse (#26 for RHD drivers-side) but followed the very well described and accurate instructions at the weekend and so far has stopped it happening again. Well worth trying if you're experiencing the same problem. Many many thanks Mcgurr
Thank you very much!!! I'm glad to hear it helped 😊
Way above my skillset. Thanks for the tutorial. Similar process with carbon fiber?
Thank you. Carbon fiber has some similar, however it can be a totally different animal. The forming/layup process to the resin type is different
I don’t have push start I have a regular key , will I be able to use the original keyfob?
Unknown. You may need to contact the manufacturer
Great video
What is the thread compound for? Do you recommend?
It's applied to the threads of a fastener to prevent it from loosening over time due to vibration or parts shifting.
I have the analog gauges but not MyColor 😭😭😭
question, this radio on Amazon shows a microphone as part of one of the accessories and you did not install one in this video. Did your package not come with one?
At the time of the video, the radio did not include an external microphone (but you could add one). If one was included, I would likely install it on the sunvisor.
@mcgurrentertainment ok thanks!
The jokes, spongebob references, and thorough instructions. 10/10 video
This is so awesome. I have a 1988 F250 that needs a new headliner. A new very thin and flimsy plastic headliner costs $500. Keep in mind this is a single cab 2 door truck so the headliner isn't very big (39x57 inches). The new headliner is a complete ripoff. Now I'm researching DIY fiberglass headliner and this is the best video I've found so far. I might even make new fiberglass door panels. Thanks for this video.
That would be cool
Nice job! But you could have saved yourself a whole lot of work by making the plug in two pieces and then gluing them together after you shaped them.
That's a good option as well.
Can I download it into my phone then jump it in to the truck
Ummm what?
Thank you so much for this video! Really well done, and super informative. Really cool that you even explained the mold making process and all that. I look forward to trying my hand at fiberglass fabrication.
Thank you very much!!! Let me know if you have any questions.
Not in a million years dude hell no
You don't have to paint it orange...
