- This is part of a video series in which we are going over the steps to create a custom engine cover for our 2020 and 2021 Mustang GT. These videos will cover the process from start to finish; starting with the design idea, then creating the prototype part (plug), making a mold, and lastly, creating a finished product from the mold.

I love the creative aspect of this build. Its so satisfying watching your ideas materialize.
Thank you very much!!! It was a fun build and hopefully more to come.
nice work,,,,the temp test was a real Plus
Thank you
Looks good! 👍 Give the 3/4" nap roller a try for resin application! I promise you won't regret it!!
Thank you. I will give it a try.
This came out amazing and I have to say that your attention to detail is astounding. I saw the post on Mustang 6g maybe a year or two ago and I've always wanted to try it, but I didn't realize how much work went into it 😅 I was wondering if you would consider creating another one and selling it. If not, totally respect it and just know that there is one person that is VERY envious 😄
Thank you very much. It really does mean a lot!!! As of right now, I'm not set up for production. However, after all my projects are caught up, I may be able to look into making more molds.
I made 3 covers total, and I am getting quickly in making them. Sadly, the curing process always eats up time.
@@mcgurrentertainment thank you for responding, and I completely understand! I hope all of your projects go smoothly, and (selfishly) hope you find the time, haha! Either way, I will be subscribing! Can't wait to see your other projects!
@@mcgurrentertainment Nice work. If you want to mass produce them take your mold to a fiberglass shop they can give you a price on making them for you. They use a chopper gun to make them that's faster than hand laying it. My friend does this on old gas pump doors. He gets 12 sets at a time and when he gets down to two sets he orders more. You can take there price and mark it up, my friend use's his cost multiply by 1.8 %
( Example: So If they charged you $200 each multiplied by 1.8 would be $360) Also if you do get a contract with them stating you own the mold and they only make them for you.
Very cool to know. Thank you very much for the advice
@@xdrag4854 I really hope he does this. It’s such a great-looking cover
This turned out looking great. Be cool to see how you decide to paint it. I have the Roush engine covers on my car and did a little something with them.
Thank you very much. The paint job is going to be pretty simple, but it should make it pop.
