- We are going over the steps to fill OEM spoiler holes for a 2020 Mustang EcoBoost with the intent of installing an aftermarket spoiler. The steps will also include painting the trunk to match the OEM paint.
Important: Rattle can paint is very difficult if not impossible to obtain 100% match as there are just too many variables, especially regarding metallic colors.

Very informative, but what this shows me is that I need to take my trunk in so that a professional can do it, lol
That's always an option
@@mcgurrentertainment Yes, no hate on you/the video, in fact I'm super impressed by your ability and don't think I have the same ability to do this
You are definitely good. I'm just know enough to be dangerous. I greatly appreciate the positive feedback
I always enjoy seeing your videos! I can tell you put in a lot of work into them. Thanks for all your hard work I have lean so much for you!
Thank you for the support
Really enjoyed video
Thank you very much
Hey man what spoiler did you put on there and does it require drilling, also is there any good 2016 mustang no drill spoilers you recommend?
I believe the spoiler was a GT350R spoiler (www.americanmuscle.com/gt350r-style-spoiler-primed-1517fastback.html), and it did require additional drilling on the edges of the trunk.
There are a few spoilers on the market that use the factory spoiler holes. I dont have a specific brand or style in mind. It all depends on your desired style. Best method, find the style you like, and check the reviews for factory hole usage. We did post two videos for the spoiler install that uses factory holes.
@@mcgurrentertainment cool thanks man, also do you think you can link me the videos of the no drill spoilers?
This is the only one I know of that is still active: th-cam.com/video/lrPjiye7t5U/w-d-xo.html
I sir love your video and insights please what's the actual name of the deeper end tool you're using that looks like a fork???
Are you referring to the Fastener Removal Tool (Step 19 - 10:30)?
@mcgurrentertainment no the tool you used to widened the holes not the one you used with the drill and white marker pen...
Deburring tool?
Great video.
Thank you
Can you fill those holes with JB WELD???
That's a good question. I have never tried filling large holes with JB weld. Strength wise, I'm sure it would hold. My concern would be the cracking and the paint adhesion.
That's a tough one.
Could it be done with normal filler or does it have to be the glass filler?
I would recommend glass filler over body filler due to fiberglass fillers offer superior structural support. The rigidity provide excellent reinforcement for repairing holes, cracks and tears. The body filler is more ideal for dents, dings, and leveling surfaces.
@@mcgurrentertainment that’s what I thought I’ve had some tell me the same way you done it basically but with normal bondo. I’m like wouldn’t that cause cracking or falling out considering there’s nothing in it too help hold it and reinforce it?
