The time shown for the filter, is the time of the filter currently on your gas mask, the other three are spares and don't have their time shown until you use one. Kalash is the name for the AK47, from the man that created it, Mikhail Timofeyevich Kalashnikov.

There is a nice troll/scare that can happen in that first spider area, random but I'm sure you will see it further on in the game as it can happen everywhere they are. The time shown on the backpack is indeed the total filter time, you have used filters on the backpack but picking up new ones in the world will automatically replace the used ones on the backpack. max time is 9 minutes + the one on your mask so 12 minutes total. Bullet numbers on backpack are your extras, not what is in your weapon, you can slowly pull the slide/bolt back to check if a round is chambered if you are unsure to not eject them by misstake. Look for the yellow boxes on the walls, they contain supplies as well, walked past one at 12:50. 15:18 nice forshadowing there. I seem to recal there being some sort of quick reload where you just take a new magazine and move it towards the one already on the gun and it will switch them out quickly. Did not know you could actually kill them all in the combat arena after you get the kalash, I was on hardcore and just powered the door while under attack as I was out of bullets. Love those doors with the red wheels sound like they are breathing when they open, freaked me out when I first heard it. That handgun you get by the dead woman is the one I used the entire game, love the looks on it. Geez sorry for the wall of text, I type while watching the video if there are things to comment on :D

Read this!!! During ww2 the soviets did not have enough ammo. So when the soldier in front of you died. You would simply pick up his gun and continue fighting. HINT HINT HINT. for future use.....I love this game because the makers of it knew this fact....Obviously....

I love the speed at which they charge at you, sometimes no time to react. And the wiping the mask is a mechanic from the mainline games

You need to be careful with your ammo in Metro games. But hey, at least it serves as an example of how good VR is at immersion, have fun with the spiders xD.

Go slower and look for ammo on selves and tables any flat surface may have ammo

You can wipe your eyes. It will take the fog off your mask

Look for ammo in the red boxes

Do not panick and fire all your bullets away. You will run out of bullets.

You can wipe the moisture off your mask, just rub your hands across your mask.

If you look at the backpack you can see your ammo, gas mask filters, and health vial amounts. There are three main types of ammo from top to bottom: pistol ammo, rifle ammo, and shotgun ammo. Those small amounts of bullets you find around can be stored in your ammo pouch (chest) and add to that ammo counter. If you have 6 bullets in a clip in your gun and find 2 bullets laying around you can add them to your ammo pouch, pull out the clip from your gun and add that to your ammo pouch, and then pull out a fresh clip of 8 bullets that is made of the combined amount.

I also ran out of ammo against that lurker, and not knowing what else to do, I just pistol whipped him a handful of times and he died 😂 Ammo is scarce, so finding and making every round count is definitely important. I also died fumbling around trying to figure out how to quick draw a filter 😂 I found that dropping new filters over my shoulder "into my backpack" stopped me from accidentally changing them though. You can also wipe your mask clean with your hand to clear up your view.

My man, you definitely gotta look around more, you’re missing tons of ammo and supplies. I understand the fear 😂 but it’s making less prepared. Check boxes, the ground, extra areas off the beaten path. ALL metro games are like this so keep that in mind when you play the rest. Just gotta keep looking around and scavenging
