Every time I watch your videos I see myself freaking out how stunning vr is when I did it the first time! Keep exploring! There is so much cool vr games out there! (Don’t forget into the Radius….)
Aaaaand we're back(?) - this is the first VR game i played that felt like a full fledge game/experience. it was released way earlier than HL:A. Very special part of my VR journey. Glad you are covering it and as before, i'm along for the ride.
Since you don't have a guardian system set up I can recommend standing on a small round (-ish) mat in the middle of your play space. In that way - as long as you have at least one foot on the mat - your safe from hitting walls and objects in the real world.
Thanks man. Although I do have a guardian setup but quick to move from my safe space, I like the circle rug idea to help me stay better anchored. Do you have any recommendations? Of course there's all sorts out there I see.
Brilliant idea! I use a circle rug too! I can even turn off the guardian which is better for me. I have a standard circle rug, which is exactly 133 x 133cm which is the exact same size as the quests guardian 🙌🏻
@@beyond_xen Hm, definitely good to get a rug before you embark on stuff like Boneworks that can get quite intense and physical. Don't want to uppercut your wall or something full force.
Ok, so since i have over 4000 hours in the echo games, I'll give you some good tips to help with the movement of the game. TIP 1: Your booster have timers on them its a little bar on the side of your wrists that go down every time you use them, so you have to let them charge a little. Tip 2: Brakes on your right tumbstick. If you push it in, you will come to a full stop in space. Tip 3: Use your environment to help you out. Try to push off of walls slowly at first to help you move around. Then, when u get better at it, you can move faster. Tip 4: Have fun man this is one of the greatest vr games of all time, and i love seeing new players enjoy it for the first time!
@@DJdog-vq2fr Watching myself back, I feel a little embarrassed at times not knowing where to go or what to do. This game sure makes you explore to try to figure out your next step. I guess that's expected and okay.
Yeah I'm surprised I'm fairing so well. I'm thankful. I was worried in the beginning before starting VR. I was concerned I'd spend all that money and not be able to use it. So that's why I was so cautious with sitting down in the beginning. 😁
This is great! I've never watched a Lone Echo playthrough before... reminds me I must go and finish the second one soon! ..hmm, I wonder if the Asgard's Wrath games are on your 'games to play on this channel' playlist too... now That Would Be A Loong Ass Series.. !
If you want you can increase the spectator(2d view) field of view in the oculus debug tool, so we can see all that you see, otherwise the fov is cropped
Okay I'll experiment with that. I guess that would work using Oculus Mirror too? I started recording with that recently. Oculus Mirror with stabilization.
Avoid spoilers at all costs! This is, in my opinion, a masterpiece, but I haven't played the sequel yet due to system requirements. It'll be interesting to see somebody else experience it!
I still need to go back and finish this game and play the sequel. Too many games.. The multiplayer mode for this game was incredible. It was like zero g disc rugby, lol. It was also the reason I removed my ceiling fan, lol. RIP Ready at Dawn and Echo VR. Still wish we coulda got an Order 1886 sequel too.. Also, the three seashells is a Demolition Man reference. It's been forever since I've seen that
About saves, it's pretty gud at saving exactly where you left off i would not worry about saves(only thing to worry about is, saves are completely local, meaning if the save file gets deleted you have to restart
I tried playing this years ago, got distracted by loads of other games and pc mods and never got back to it, need to play it through now. awesome game as far as I got, although there was quite a bit of me accidentally crashing face first into the lady inappropriately, now I'm a lot more used to vr maybe I won't crash into her as much now ,,,,, 🤣
Loved this video!! Wondering, do you think you might play Batman Arkham Shadow at some point (of course, its a Q3 exclusive) but if you get the headset do you think you would try it?
Lone Echo 1 and 2 are the best VR games, better than Alyx imho, the first one reminds me a bit of the book "Arendezvous with Rama" The graphics are amazing in these games.
Let's pour one out for Ready At Dawn. Great studio that Meta just shut down. 😢 Looks like after getting me to replay Alyx, you are now getting me to replay Lone Echo 2. 😊
@@beyond_xen I can already do that, I played through it the week it came out. 😃 The game is fantastic. It improves on Lone Echo 1 in every way. Very, very impactful emotionally. A little faster paced and a lot more game mechanics, but still no action game. Definitely wait until the credits have rolled, that's no spoiler but very important.
Never played Lone echo or its sequel but heard some good things. Haven't really seen any videos either so this is going to be interesting. Interactivity seems really good. Graphics are really good as well. A bit heavy on the tutorials. zero gravity sure looks disorienting, good thing you did not start with this game or you would be falling over in real life heh. The ships flying around with the containers remind me of the designs from the homeworld rts games. Person: "talking about important things" Player: "Flailing around desperatly trying to stop moving around" Ready at dawn studios were just shut down :(
They where fired. Most stupid mistake ever. But then again we will never get these very big triple A games again. Old pcvr games 140gb (asgard wrath1) new games 1gb or a mobile game version (quest) to pc. It's just sad
I don’t know how you would feel about other vr horror games, I know you’re playing alien vr so I recommend the walking dead saints and sinners, but I know it’s a lot different to alien but it’s definitely one of the best survival horror vr games out there

Into the Radius 2 coming out soon for Quest! Already early access from steam

The controller is a remote for the model ship! (29:30) Also after you scan an object PULL THE YELLOW TAB on the side of the scanner.
Thanks! I'll have to start checking that tab out after scans.

😁 I think that this game and Alien Isolation in VR will be an interesting combo. Both on and around space stations.
love it brother! your content is so professional you will blow up soon!
Thank you so much! I get so clueless with this game so far hahaha.
Stoked for you to experience this. Loving your content. Keep up the great work. P.S. we need more AAA VR. Enjoy the journey.
Yes, if we get a Half Life 3, that will be an awesome AAA title I'm sure. (Assuming it's VR)
Cool! I like this game already!
Yeah it's really good!
It is a cool game. Blew me away at the time. Never played LE 2, so perhaps I will buy it after all.😁👍🤜
