It's so entertaining to get to watch someone's first vr experience. I got a quest 1 in 2020 to play this, and now I'm so far down the vr rabbit hole with 5 headsets, a racing wheel, treadmill, and full bhaptics setup.. I HIGHLY recommend Vertigo 1&2 dude. It's like the gameplay of Half Life with the vibe of Portal. I'm currently playing the Outer Wilds VR mod, which is absolutely incredible.
Thank you!! I appreciate you watching and enjoying my first VR experience. I am hearing a lot of requests on Vertigo - so I'll need to check into it and perhaps move it sooner in my list.
That ending was amazing, not only the game's ending but the ending for the video! Best series I've ever watched! Thank you for making such great videos! You are my new favorite youtuber!
That's such an honor to hear you say it was the best series you've ever watched! ^_^ I'm humbled and thankful to be your favorite TH-camr. I'm happy you liked the ending - working on more playthroughs of some other games - but also the script for a game review of Alyx.
Honestly, Valve has set up a PERFECT scenario for HL3, if they even actually make it. They started with Episode 2 by killing off eli at the end, now in Alyx, they have brought him back and hired Alyx to the G-man. Now what i wanna know is, do they kill gordon between the end of alyx and hl3, or do you play as two main characters thru different scenarios that will run side by side, via Co-op online play/Half Life Decay (which was a PS2 exclusive campaign made for Co-op) or will you take up the mantle of alyx. of course, this all relies on valve releasing half life 3. which i doubt will ever happen.
This series was a lot of fun to watch man. I'm excited to watch you discover more VR games because watching you be immersed in VR reminds me of the feelings i had when i put my headset on for the first time. strongly recommend into the radius. its for sure the most immersive VR experience I've ever had and the 2nd game just released in early access so its the perfect time to start playing through the first. great work man thanks for the entertainment👊
Gracias a ti. Lo hemos pasado muy bien juntos y enhorabuena por llegar al final. Es el mejor juego de Vr jamás diseñado y aún lo juego una vez al año. Es una locura. Y es divertido. Gracias de nuevo.
From the tone of G-Man's words, it sounds like he's introducing her to a life of indentured servitude... much like himself. I don't think he's working for his "employers" entirely by choice.
Thanks for letting is join you on your first VR experience So on May 13th I broke my ankle, few days later had repairative surgery. As I was confined to home with a leg splint on I came across the first video or two of this series. Been enjoying watching as I recover and went from couch bound to knee scooter and now back into my feet. Now as the series ends I plan to go back to work in about a week. Thanks for helping occupy my attention while I was stuck with nothing else better to do while I heal. I'll keep an eye on your channel and look forward to a potential "thoughts and opinions" style video soon here.
Sorry to hear about your accident Connor, but glad to know you are recovering well. It's an honor to have been a part in entertaining you during your restful recovery. Thanks for your support! I hope you continue well on your healing journey!
Such a cool ending to the game. The super trippy sequence at the start, followed by the power fantasy with the ironman laser hands at the end is top notch. Your reactions have been the most fun I've ever had watching a HL:A playthrough and I'm looking forward to see what else is coming. I'll second everyone elses choices of the Red Matter, Lone Echo and Vertigo series to come next. By the time you're done with those you'll be good to venture into some brilliant, but slightly more hardcore titles like Into the Radius, Walking Dead Saints & Sinners, No Mans Sky, Resident Evil 4, Boneworks. After The Fall or Contractors would be good ones to play if Jeremy is ever down for some co-op 😊
Thanks man! I really appreciate your kindness and I'm happy you have so thoroughly enjoyed. It's an honor to be a favorite. I'll be playing Lone Echo and Alien Isolation at the same time next, so I think maybe I could do Red Matter and Vertigo together afterwards.
I absolutely loved seeing you play this game. I can't wait to see you play more vr games, but since I know you liked alian isolation, one game I have to recommend is Lone Echo since I saw you were enjoying the floating part in the last part of the game I truly do believe you would love it.
Thank you! I'm glad you loved it. Happy to hear you are looking forward to what's next in store. I'm actually starting to play Lone Echo and Alien Isolation in VR - so that should be next. =O
Man, it was amazing watching to all your episodes and your reaction to the end was worth the wait haha. I hope you enjoyed your first VR game and I would love to watch to more VR content. I know the other games will not be Half life alyx, but trust me there are a lot of amazing vr games worth to play and upload to youtube. You will have here someone who will watch to all your VR content. Greetings from Spain!
I'm so glad my reaction to the end was worth the wait. I'll be honest, I was watching myself back and wanted more - which is why I'm making a game review. Also, up next I have planned Lone Echo and Alien Isolation in VR. I've already recorded a few episodes - just need to get them all finalized to start dropping. Thank you for your commitment to watching all my VR content. =)
@@beyond_xen lone echo is amazing, a little bit slow gameplay but cool graphics and story and alien isolation in vr gotta be terrifying. Btw, after you finish those ones it would be cool if you make a poll to decide the next game for the channel
First of all I enjoyed your journey in Alyx, thank you again for sharing. If you look to the left when you become Gordon, on landing of the structure there you should catch a glimpse of ‘G’ man. Just a tip, if you choose ’Story’ as the difficulty level then you will need less hits on advisees, and pick ups are more frequent of ammunition and health packs. Wander about using the gravity gloves to help find the goodies, and take your time to explore, so you can find items to aid your quest. Also there are a vast quantity of high quality extra missions out there, so game does not end here. Hopefully you will be inclined to play these and post the games play here on your channel.
Thank you, I'm happy you enjoyed my journey in Alyx. You are welcome, and thank you for watching. Thanks for letting me know about Gman to the side of Gordon. I put a note to myself to check that out and mention it in my Alyx game review. I watched a friend from church play on Story mode at my house a while back and I told him, "man we gotta get your difficulty up" - because he was blowing through everything hahaha. I noticed how much ammo and resin he was accumulating too. I might try that too once I play on commentary. I wanna also beat the game on Hard too. Looking forward to sharing my experiences in the extra missions at some point.
I beat Alyx earlier this year, so I had to laugh when you said you played for 2 hours, because I got so caught up in the game that I played for 5 hours in a row with no breaks, and after I took the headset off I felt kinda seasick for a couple of hours afterwards
Thank you!! I definitely have more planned. Most immediately I am working on Lone Echo (another recommendation from Jeremy), and also Alien Isolation but in VR.
Yeah, that would be awesome! I wish Valve would do it! I believe there's videos of Gabe saying HL3 is coming, but they are so long ago it makes you wonder. It's gotta be though with the way they ended this game.
@@beyond_xen well, there's the recent-ish leaks for HLX. It's definitely Half-Life, not unlikely to be HL3, and has been in development for a similar amount of time as HLA took to develop. Along with recently hiring the devs of Hopoo Games (who created Risk of Rain) and apparently being unusually active based on what is leaking through game updates, Valve is definitely up to some stuff.
Absolutely wonderful series! I’m literally with you all the way! Can’t wait for your full review of this game! It’s been such a pleasure! You are going to be a big TH-camr for sure! Thank you for your hard work and dedication! 😅I hope you can have a little rest now. Xx
I love your enthusiasm and running commentary! This is definitely the best way to experience VR for the first time, especially for a huge HL fan. Sub’d for more. Cheers!
I am really glad you liked it. I totally love this game. Again there are a whole lot of mods to play. If not there are a whole lot of other VR games I would recommend.
What a ride, from beginning to end, this game is something special. Vertigo 1 and 2 are also solid if you want to check them out later, HL1 has a VR mod that can run standalone on the Quest if you want to give it a go eventually. RE4 VR is another good one that I'd recommend. Can't wait for your review of Alyx.
Played through this game 3 times and loved every moment of it. My first video game console was an (old for the time) commodore 64 with games on cassette tapes. To have lived through those times and gotten to this point in gaming is something I will be eternally grateful for. VR just gives a level of immersion no other medium is capable of and replaying my old favorites like Far Cry, Resident Evil 4 and Half Life 2 in VR has been such a transcendent experience. It's been a lot of fun watching someone have that shared experience with Alyx and look forward to seeing what you do next. I'd highly recommend the Half Life 2 and episodes VR mods as well as Far Cry, Resident Evil 2, 3, 7 and 8 plus there are some incredible DLC quality campaigns for Alyx that are well worth playing like Levitation.
Wow - that's quite the gamer's journey. Thank you for coming along with me to enjoy the journey. I'll be checking out the mods and other campaigns for Alyx at some point for sure!
I always found the targeting on the green laser blasts weird, going off to the side, up or down but thankfully the aiming is quite forgiving. That ending though, phew. So many feelings rushing through your mind. That sound note when you grab the crowbar just gets you so hyped for what would come next. The journey comes to an end, really enjoyed watching and you seem to have come a long way with your VR feet already. I say do a easy playthrough on your own time and listen to the commentery track, some interesting stuff in there. Looking forward to what comes next. Personally recommend vertigo 1 and 2 and the walking dead saints and sinners titles and you can really never go wrong with beat saber for a bit of a workout. I myself am currently playing through into the raidus and finding it amazing while waiting on more content for the sequel which just released in early access. I'm not really into multiplayer vr gaming but I'm sure people could recommend such games for you as well.
Yeah those green blasts were confusing at first. I think I eventually got the hang of it. Not the grenades in space though! xD That ending simply dumbfounded me. I almost didn't know what to think at first. I'll have more to say in my upcoming game review. Yeah that crowbar sound note was really cool. I'm glad you enjoyed watching. I really hope Valve makes another headset so they have a reason to release HL3, since that seems to be their pattern. I'll be going back to play the game again on the hardest difficulty and then I think again with the commentary. I like commentary sorts of things. Thanks for the recs - been hearing Vertigo a lot. Will have to check after I do some other games.

@@beyond_xen Good idea to wait, but when you'll decide to play HL2VR remember to install HL2VR Essentials modpack, it improves the VR experience very much. Personally I played HL2 with both episodes many times, but experiencing it in VR was almost like playing new game - even if you know what will happen. On another note - I've watched many people on youtube played HL: Alyx, but your playthrough was the best one: your emotions expressions was what I'm looking for in someone else playthrough. 10/10

Thank you for your kind words and recommendations!
