    Too bad it only had 2 wheel drive. Where you were going you could have used 4 wheel drive. Good job on getting it going. That corrosion was fierce and even rotted off the throttle cable. You were lucky you had that butt connector to run the throttle or this little woods jaunt would have gone nowheres. Leaving that powersaw by the path wasn't very smart but ya'll just thought it was from the cleanup crew. Some freshly cut logs did let you through but if that jobbie had four wheel you could just head out through the forest.

    And they thought it would be smart to restore it before seeing it run😂, i am 18 and have 5 1950s tractors i fixed since the age of 12 i paid for all of them yet i had to get all of them running and thats way more important than paint if you know they run and are good you can restore them , for all they know it could have been parked with a bad engine.

      Awesome, what color tractors you get running? Watch the next parts - this was for a tractor restoration competition so a total rebuild was gonna happen. After scoping cylinders I knew there was no way it would run.

    hi, as long as the whole trailer has to be repaired, it seems to me that a bit of paint would have been nicer before putting all the equipment back in place, don't you think?

    When you did the wiring, and you tested to see what did what. How did you do that? Did you have the black wire on black then used the red end on your jump pack to test each wire?

    Nice video! I own 4 Cub Cadets with standard transmissions from the narrow frame 124 to the wide frame 128. These tractors are Made In The USA and MADE to last at least 3 generations. They take a beating and keep asking for more unlike the ABSOLUTE JUNK being flooded in our country from communist china

    As I was driving mine to load on a trailer after having sold it the mechanical fuel pump died. It looks darn near impossible due to its location to replace. Not knowing how to put it the free wheel mode and wanting to get it back in my yard I installed an electric fuel pump and was very pleased to be able to drive it back. At this point I think I will forget about replacing the mechanical fuel pump as the electric pump is much easier to replace and less expensive to purchase.

    • @jt9498
      @jt9498 9 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      Instead of dish soap, use a little Vaseline on the grommets. The lights will pop right in. :) Oh, and on the light electric connectors, use some dialectric grease. It will keep the moisture out and prevent rusting.

    I believe you said that the trailer is a 2007. If I’m correct there’s an antilock brake actuator on the trailer that’s supposed to flash one of the marker lights when the connector is pulled out of the power supply. If you’re ever pulled over by the DOT, that’s supposed to be in working order. Otherwise you could be placed out of service

    • @thesmallenginekid
      @thesmallenginekid 17 วันที่ผ่านมา

      There is no ABS system on the trailer I have seen. I know bigger commercial trailers have the ABS system and light. Usually DOT does not mess with non commercial smaller trailers.

    Andrew, when we used to have to replace the grommets on the clearance lights, if we were close to electrical source we would use a heat gun and heat the grommets up then slip the lights right in. It works like a dream. It sure does save on your hands doing it that way. The other is just like the man said lower the front put your Jack's jack stands in the back then lower the front end. Then Jack it back up with your tongue jack and your floor jack then put them in the front. You'll never have a problem with it sliding off. That's hell. We used to do it in the shops when we had to do brakes on a 53-ft trailers works like a dream

    Hi great vid. Please becareful using that cut off grinder. Noticed you cut off mounts on that box. Holding box in one hand and operating grinder with other. You see how the grinder wheel jumped. Your hands and fingers are important do not lose them be smart be safe. It takes a second to slice off a finger. 20:34 d.
