Andrew, your dedication to detail make a nice Oliver that you can be proud of for many years. It is nice to see your father and grandmother pitching in on the restoration. You saved one more tractor from the scrap heap. Blessings to you.
My father & I agreed to have very little to do with each other. You having that loving relationship with your father is very special (you don't need me to tell you that).
I’m still figuring out who had more fun; you or your Dad 🤔😉. Well done it looks and sounds great. I’ve done an Oliver 77 , Farmall H, Ford NAA, and a Case VAC . for a friend who collects Tractors. I’m working on a 1946 Gibson now, gotta make all the parts for that one but I still like doing the work 👍
I think your paint technique is brilliant, brush on the primer and first color coat. I’m using that one. 👍🏻 Another way to check for TDC is to put a wood dowel down the spark plug hole and rotate the engine until the dowel is at its highest point.
I see nothing wrong with brushing the primer and base coat. Your work looks good to me! I use clear coat on everything now because it hides all imperfections.
Your dad did a great job, a hell of a lot of work in that prep and paint work. Well done for salving another piece of our farming history. One bit of advice from an old hand, before you start it, disconnect the coil and crank the engine over , this will pump oil up to the top end and fill the oil filter and build oil pressure, before you actually start the engine.. very important
Nice job! At 34:00, the seat slides to the rear to make more room for the operator to stand at the steering wheel. Here's a vintage Ferguson video showing it in action: th-cam.com/video/uLUry11WOy8/w-d-xo.htmlsi=QQiCcMEyPp8E_u16&t=183
Great job. On the throttle setup what McMaster numbers did you order. I have Oliver 55 diesel with a broken linkage. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Does your dad get a little sad when the last tractor is almost done he might end up bored because there is nothing to do to both assist his son in restoring something he is proud of his son for, and doing these things makes him happy to be part of? I Am Proud of You Both, a Beautiful Close Family the Way things Should be, a Perfect Example for ALL.
I like your work and your videos. It is so great that your Dad helps you. I am not quite sure of why you restore these old tractors. Is your place a nursing home for old neglected tractors??? None the less, it is a wonderful thing that you are doing. If my Dad was alive, he would love to see your collection in person.
Way cool Andrew! ....especially having your Dad and Grandma putting in their great worth! Memories on so many levels, for all time.

Always happy to see your new content. Love the family involvement.
I always do a motor oil flush. It cleans all the oil passages and breaks down sludge. I sincerely believe in this.
Nice work on Oliver Super 55 ; Oliver's are my favorite green tractors; & the 55 is a perfect size. Thanks for the video, & saving her.

Thanks for the kind words. He always keeps busy, we seem to buy tractors faster than fix them.

Nice job. Are you guys in the Witness Protection Program? What's with the hoods all the time? Looks ridiculous!
It is winter and we like to stay warm.
Ummm...wear a hat??@@thesmallenginekid
I wish I had a tractor to use and work on.
Anybody care to donate a small tractor under 45 hp?
From a retired heavy equipment operator. ☹️
Buy a old farmall or an old ford, can get them cheap cheap and parts are also cheap

haha, I like the nursing home analogy. Maybe more like a rehab center!
I am glad that he is giving the old tractors a second chance at life.@@thesmallenginekid
