Those engines make the prettiest purr to my ears. My grandfather had an H - it was the workhorse around his dairy farm when I was growing up. Loved that tractor. He fabricated and retrofitted a bucket and hydraulic lift system from scratch.
Cómo me recuerda al Farmall que mí abuelo tenía en el campo, en la Argentina, lo vi trabajar con el todavía hace unos cincuenta años atrás, lindos recuerdos.
ne farm I helped out on had a pair of them. The memory of riding a full hay wagon of bailed hay was good. They have a heck of a road gear. lol If it had a 3 point hitch and a wide front end it would sell fast. On the trip plow , they worked well as long as you don't snag a tree root. Not having hydraulics can be a bite. A light coat of grease on the mull boards is a good thing for outside storage. Great video.
We have several farmalls. One is a H. The engine was rained in the exhaust. no way it was going to break loose and run. We reciently bought a C farmall and we got it running.
Looks like a IH little genius trip plow, google that and you should be able to match it up, I had that identical plow that I used 40 years ago behind my H, I gave it to my grandson for lawn art so it will be in the family.
Pretty good video. Farmalls are really popular and easy to fix. You forgot the last step in setting the timing in the video. Set the mag just before it is on #1 and with the bolts loose roll it till it snaps then tighten it down. You have it pretty close. The plow hitch is supposed to be like that. If you hit a root or rock when plowing that will trip and unhook from tractor so it doesn’t break anything.
There is just no sound like a Farmall. Growing up I ran everything from a H to a 1086 and there's just a smoothness to that motor that can't be replicated. Unlike a Ford 3 cylinder diesel that sounds like a washing machine full of loose change lol
Andrew, I'm a little confused. I see that it has, the H, has IHC cultivator brackets on the axles but it has a John Deere quick attach cultivator front mount brackets which has been cut to mount on the H. It has a super H live hydraulic pump with the high pressure line going to a pressure relief valve assembly that dumps take into the belly pump. I wonder just at what pressure the relief open?
Hey man. Make some playlists in your channel. You will get more views. I try to binge, but get other videos. Of you make playlists you will get more views on all your videos
You should have drained the oil and took the oil pan off and changed the oil filter first before any start up after it had been sitting for a long time , because the oil filter will break down over time and clog up your oil vains then the motor will start knocking and run a bearing .
Your right that is best practice when reviving an old engine. It had very good oil pressure when I started it, and oil level was where it should be so not concerned about water contamination.
It just made me cringe a bit when you hit the battery posts up into the gas tank... This was a bad design and the later models moved them to under the seat. That's why someone I'm sure made the new bracket for it to get it safer. Would hate to see you blow yourself up. 😁 The plows hitch is set up for auto releasing it from the tractor when you hit a big rock. You have to adjust those handles on it to pull over the rock. Then readjust and plow away till the next big rock unhooks you.
That tractor had a distributor when I bought it. I put on the magneto. And I trimmed the pin off the hand crank to put a pipe wrench on it. Can easily reinstall pin and use hand crank.
Good for you getting that great old tractor home and running. You are a great mechanic young man.

Young man, you must have had a good teacher. No drama, 22 cans of starting fluid etc. Cant wait to see finished product. Bill
Hi, great stuff to watch with no silly music haha. Many thanks from Nr Liverpool UK.
I learned to drive at age 11 on a 1941 Farmall H. Really enjoyed watching this.
Great job my man but never, ever start a tractor unless you are seated and definitely not standing in front of the rear axle, peace.
ANDREW YOU ARE SIMPLY AMAZING 👍👍👍
Might be a JD plow. I love those Ol FARMALLS
The H was always a pretty good tractor. Sheet metal looks good.

Very nice Andrew. I like your explaining of everything you do.
Nice work Andrew , love your passion for the old iron 😊.
Great job
That trailer could use a winch. 😊
That is on the list of future projects.
Nice work, need to keep these old tractors out of the scrap yard.
Great job!
I like your explaining also. I had an "M" many years ago.
You did good on this deal!

I wish I had you around here. I have a 62 Ford 801 power master 4x4

The plow looks like it might be a little genius #8 plow. Worth some money
That small engine kid 😮

Even at 1 minute, steering the front tires in the right direction should have been the first hint by at least one other person lol
Good job I have a 1944
This is a new record to get a tractor running !!
made at the Farm all plant in rock island, Ill
IH plow is one of the best out there . easy pulling and track great . should sell easy .
Want to buy another one
Runs good 1943
kinda surprised to little kubota couldn't pull or push the old h onto the trailer.

Attaboy 👍🏼👍🏼
Was there not a terrible roll-over risk with those big tricycles?
That looks to me like that is John Deere plow and Mr John Deere wheels that he also picked up for the rear
My dad would never film a video that good if I asked him too😅

What are the chances of two people having a 2950
Motor mount?

Would you be interested in a Farmall H without the motor
Paint plow forest green JD

Saudade do levy
Do yourself a favour and purchase a rainflap for the top of the exhaust saves any rain entering the cylinder head and ruin the valves 🇮🇪
Ya lost me when you brought out the grinder to chop off the hand crank on a tractor equipped with a magneto .

Need to install a wench on your trailer
