So happy for you guys.love the honest, real feelings you express. Your feelings are my fears BUT I am going to do it anyway. I feel your true joys as well. Can’t wait to see your feet touch ground and how that feels.
What a beautiful place! Love seeing you all enjoying yourselves!
It really is! Thank you😊
I loved watching this video!
We are glad you enjoyed it!😊
Im can't believe it da boat can hold that much wastes.
You guys did it! Congrats! Enjoy the time in French Polynesia!
We are! Thank you so very much!!
Amazing!!!👏🏼👏🏼what an accomplishment!!!
Thank you!!
Triple digits… oh the small things lol
Every milestone counts 😉
Can I ask what is wrong with your sail? Why does it constantly need repairing? Why does it constantly rip it’s not good material?
In episode 45, the halyard chaffed through due to Just Cats giving us incorrect information on how to sail the Paradailor from our mast. It dumped into the ocean and took us over an hour to retrieve it. In the process it got several small tears and scratches. We had it repaired in Shelter Bay. The scratches didn’t need repairing yet as we were told but after flying it for multiple days it stretched the scratches turning them into tiny rips.
You all seemed so happy in Georgetown!
It was great meeting new lifelong friends!
Really enjoying watching!
Thank you 😊
A kid boat that must have been exciting for Davis! You all seem to be getting more relaxed and happier as you go along! Just an observation!
We get much happier as we are more comfortable with the boat and things become easier!
Omg, I felt the struggle of that passage with you. Well done.
It was rough but we did it! Thanks for watching!
Dolphins make everything better, and after 35 days at sea, it must have been incredible. Enjoy some relaxing island time! Donate for a Dream
It was very special for sure!!! We certainly are enjoying French Polynesia!
Congratulations on a fantastic accomplishment! That is quite a feat that few have done. Yes, folding props and a bowsprit with a code-O would be great upgrades for your boat. But think on the bright side- I think it took Barry- Adventures of an Old Sea Dog around 67 days to make the same passage. 🙄 Cheers
Wowzers!! He’s a very patient man! Another boat that got in a day before was 40 days at sea. I’m just thankful to be able to explore this beautiful place!
I like your videos a lot . And now you are in paradise . Wow . So jealous right now. Looking forwad to se more videos from French polyneisa. Grettings from Jessica in Sweden
Hi Jessica. We are glad you are enjoying our adventures! French Polynesia is amazing and can’t wait to show you!
Courage determination and guts is what it took. Congratulations on achieving something unique to most of us.
Thank you very much!!
Wonderful accomplishment guys. You’ve done something that less than 1 percent of the world accomplishes !
Thank you! We are very thankful to be here in French Polynesia!!
Really enjoyed watching. Must have been hard to be away from family for Christmas!
It was but video chats help😊
Even with the frustrations you all seem much more relaxed as the journey goes along! And I love seeing what they have in the different grocery stores and seeing the prices!
I do too! I e always wondered what stores around the world look like and their prices! I’m glad your enjoying the episodes😉
Congrats! What an achievement. Well done to Davis too! Champion.
Thank you! We are super proud of Davis too for putting up with us those 34 days. Not many kids can say they survived in 500sq ft with their parents that long - and we all still love each other🤣
I can see all you guys growing and getting more confident in your sailing. Keep going. You are doing great.
Thank you so much! We are trying😊
Congratulations!🎉 You've done it! Enjoy your well deserved time in paradise, with paradise falls!
Thank you!!😊
I love your honesty and openness Shannon. It’s real and sometimes raw and it reflects life as it happens. I felt crushed for you last week especially after I read so many cruel comments. I hope you just keep being you. It is the reason why I follow your adventure. Congratulations to all of you in this successful passage.
Thank you very much. I must say, it definitely put a downer on Mothers Day. It’s hard to read criticism whether it’s constructive or being an armchair quarterback. It’s tough out here and I want to honestly show our adventures for the good & bad times. The bad just help you appreciate the good times even more! 😊
way to go!!
Thank you😊
Great video, congrats the 3 of you have come such a long way and we are happy to watch
Thank you SO very much & thanks for following our adventures!😊
Good bloody onya team!! You have done it and we are so proud of your achievements Fort Lauderdale is so far away and the fun now begins, Shannon you go girl!! Thanks to Robs coolness and Captain Davis’s understanding and Neptunes kindness on the sea state made the journey agreeable for all. Take care, be safe and God Bless 👍😇🙏⛵️
It was a team effort to make it those 34 days! I’m proud of us too for setting a huge goal and sticking it out to accomplish it! French Polynesia has made me forget about all the rough days at sea already!
WooooooWhoooooooooooo 😎
🤣😆😊😉⛵️🥂!
Congratulations! I spoke to my friend Travis earlier today and he mentioned that Shannon had helped him while he was ill a few days ago. I appreciate your kindness and willingness to help other people.
Thank you! I do miss seeing my patients so I’m happy to help where I can. It’s been great getting to know him😊
So proud of your family. Great job to all of you! Look at where you have come… and what you’ve accomplished. My wife and I watch your videos every Sunday as a routine now. We’re looking forward to watching you continue the journey.
Awww, that’s awesome! We have definitely come a long way in the past year!
Woohoo y’all made it! And I’m with Davis on the hammock, that would be my favorite place on the boat.
Yes we did! We all fight for the privilege to lay in the hammock😊
Congrats to all three of you, You did an amazing job. Something that you all can be very proud of. Sure you had some issues, But you overcame them and look what you have done. Enjoy all your adventures,
Thank you!!! It is a huge sense of accomplishment!!!
Congratulations guys! Video made it look easy, but we all know it’s not.
It's not that sailing the 4100nm was hard, just difficult mentally and physically :)
@@SailingParadiseFalls yes 👍
🎉congratulations on the crossing! I missed the last episodes, just returned from 8 days in the Caribbean. You’re channel is so informative, please don’t pay attention to the keyboard warriors who are sole purpose in live is to spread their misery. God Bless and safe travels!
Best video yet!!! Good to see the team working well.....your technical skills and confidence improve with each video...Congrats on Davis finishing 6th Grade! After this Passage the world is yours for the taking. So proud of you guys.....I'm with you till you move back on land. Also thanks for your insightful comments to me about last weeks video. Your personality is the only reason I. watch. 😄
Aww, thank you! Last weeks comments were brutal, especially for Mother's Day. I am grateful for the amazing people that we have following our journey and keeping us on track!
Great Episode! Thank your for sharing such an amazing accomplishment with us!
Thank you for watching!!😊 Glad you enjoyed it!
loved watching this episode.❤ I can’t wait to hear your reflections on the crossing once you’ve been insight of land a few weeks. I’m really hoping you’ll have forgotten some of the bad parts and tell us how worth the passage was to arrive in paradise 🤞
Thank you! We arrived two weeks ago today and the long passage was totally worth it!!! It’s exactly like amnesia after childbirth.
Wow! Great episode, footage and music perfectly placed! Loved it! ⛵️😍
Thanks so much! I know it was a little longer so thanks for watching!
We thought this was one of the best videos we've seen detailing what it's actually like when you're stuck in a small space for 30 days. Thank you so much for taking us on your journey. Hilarious how 1 video ago you were complaining about a bird and now you're practically welcoming it into your home. LOL Loved the part about Davis telling us about school. More please! From the perspective of the video, it seems like you all are always going. One thing we've always wondered when watching YT videos is how much downtime there really is. We would love to see a "day in the life" video with what you're doing hour by hour (when sailing). We've heard there's lots of downtime, but no one ever shows that part (understandably so).
Thank you so much for understanding! We got a lot of hate last week for all my complaining. Sucked that it was released on Mother’s Day of all days. The third week was the hardest. After that it was a countdown to arrival. We are sailing tomorrow so maybe I’ll do a day in the life. Sailing days are rather boring, lots of movies, books and laying around honestly unless something unexpected pops up which we all pray doesn’t happen. Davis really has not wanted me to show to much of him but he’s starting to embrace it. It’s just a tough transition for a pre-teen especially since there are going through hormonal changes at the same time.
Woo hoo you made it❤
🙌🏻 Praise the Lord!! Lots less complaining this episode 😉
@@SailingParadiseFalls The thing is, you are showing your real life and it isn’t easy. It’s not like you can say, I’m done I’m getting off the boat. And honestly I don’t know how you do it without a potty mouth. I think I would make a lot of folks blush if I was in your position. Good for you for keeping it real, good, bad or indifferent. 💙
Happy birthday Shannon 🎉
Thank you!!
Very happy for you. Love the dolphins!
Thank you! They were very unexpected and very much appreciated. It just added to the intense emotions of reaching French Polynesia!
Congratulations on your first crossing! Look forward to more epic adventures. I’m currently waiting to cross the Panama Canal myself! 🤟🏼😎💪🏼💪🏼⛵️⛵️
Thank you! Very exciting!! Enjoy your crossing of the Canal and I really pray that you get a better advisor than we did!!
So happy you're safely across the Pacific
Thank you so much!!! I could feel everyone's prayers of protection! So glad to have that crossing behind us!
Congrats! I like your mentioning wind speeds but please always clarify if you mean TWS or AWS, eg when mentioning 20 knot for parasailor.
Sorry about that - we do not have TWS info bc we don't have a speed transducer. Any time we mention speed it is AWS :)
What a great great great video I'm so happy and proud of you all and yet....more adventures to come! Keep them coming champions 👏👏👏👏
Thanks so much!! Will do. Can't wait to show you French Polynesia!
When the hammock went up my wife said "Yes Please!". Looks like that thing is worth it's weight in gold. Congratulations on French Polynesia! Kinda a geeky question, how are the Raymarine (lighthouse) charts in FP? Do you use openCPN?
Your wife NEEDS a hammock! Crazy thing is we couldn't figure out were to hang it for almost an year!! It's no ideal but we all enjoy it very much!! Rob says he purchased the Navionics charts for all of the Pacific that have worked well. The chartlocker website you can download charts which include satellite imagery to plan. Open CPN is not downloadable to our chartplotter. You have to use a computer.
