- We FINALLY make it over to the Exumas! After a rough passage from Eleuthera we land at Highbourne Cay for a stressful night. We hit the highlights of the Exumas as we make our way south to Georgetown as we prepare to make the crossing to Panama.
Follow our families journey as we plan to Circumnavigate the Globe in 3-4 years on a budget of $4,300/mo. We plan to leave the US in October 2023 and visit 26 countries and 6 continents.

I'm glad Davis started showing his Happy self the 2nd half of trip.. he just really don't like hiking I think.. lol..
He was in cubscouts for 5 years so we did a good bit of hiking before we left. It just takes him away from gaming with his friends from home but we are limiting that so it’s getting better. He much prefers playing in the sand!

It’s pretty magical when you see it! We still love our cat! So far, no long term issues. The more we sail the better we know her and she’s been pretty great! There will always be ongoing maintenance but that’s just boats. Thank you for following along!
Hiking hack with kids…Shannon, invest in a box of Ring Pop candy. When you go on long hikes, and Davis is not happy, give him a ring pop. It’s hard candy that takes a while to eat. And while being eaten Davis will not be able to talk. 🤷♀️

Please slow down and stop rushing from one place to another. Several times an episode I hear the mention of “getting to Panama to cross the pacific”. Please get more experience and comfortable with your boat and sailing before embarking on a 25-30 day pacific crossing. If you aren’t getting good sleep on an anchor, if you are feeling like a 1 meter wave is rough, if Davis is bored with a 60 minute hike, if cloudy days are depressing in the abacos then you need MORE time getting comfortable on a boat. Love your channel and watching you explore and get better at everything and I want to watch your channel and see you develop a 100k followers over the years but I don’t want to see your last video say “we are starting our crossing today….” And then silence forever…
Thank you very much for the concern, really! I don’t know if you ever feel ready for such a lofty goal. Getting a new to us boat and sailing 1300nm the next day was crazy but we handled everything and made it. I can’t promise that we will successfully cross the pacific but I’ll be darn we are doing everything in our power to set us up for success. 😊

Davis will forget all bad.. you will get to black mail him with these later in life.. or you could leave him there.. that would work also.. lol.. I hate it for you that he isn't having the time of his life.. he will eventually get used it.. and I promise you that if you went back to your old life he would be 100% miserable doing the daily grind.. he just can't see that..
