- This week we are in West End Bahamas. We realize that cruising with buddy boats is much more fun than sailing alone. We go spearfishing and see the green flash for the first time. Failed attempt to move further east due to tropical storms.
Follow our families journey as we plan to Circumnavigate the Globe in 3-4 years on a budget of $4,300/mo. We plan to leave the US in October 2023 and visit 26 countries and 6 continents.

Great to see you finally enjoying the sailing life without quite so many boat projects!
The boat projects slowed during the Bahamas, thankfully, so we could actually just enjoy the boat!
It’s great that you have Davis so involved with driving the boats and navigating. He looks much happier than when leaving St. Augustine!
Davis is almost 12yr so we want to teach him how to run the boat. The more we involve him the happier he seems. He is really enjoying his time in the Bahamas! Thanks for watching!
Davis is gonna be an amazing sailor in no time!
He’s definitely learning!
Love to watch you guys. You don’t edit out the bumps and snarks. Docking is hard! Taking advice can be hard to but you do it with such grace.
Thank you for that!!! Others have said otherwise. Unless you’ve done it, you don’t understand the stress of the situation! I’m trying to show all aspects of life not just the beautiful highlight reel. Stay tuned! Lots happening in 2024!
@@SailingParadiseFalls We are heading out in about a year to sail the world. At this point we are in learning mode and I would like to say that we never snark at each other, but of course we do! Looking forward to watching your adventures.
I hope Davis gets school credit for his navigational training on the boat.
I am making it into a course for him so using that as one of his middle school elective classes. He much prefers hands in learning to reading textbooks! Merry Christmas!
Bahamas!!!
😊🌎⛵️
Thanks! 😃love it
keep them coming please
Wow! Thank you SO very much!! We appreciate you!
Merry Christmas.....and great team work on getting fuel & water. Love all the smiles.
Thank you very much!! We are loving the Bahamas!
Merry Christmas from Connecticut.
Merry Christmas from Hopetown!
66 yo grandpa. learned to sail in VA at 14. schooled in upstate NY and sailed Laser, Hobie and Megabyte. Still working but not not sailing in Ct. Living and sailing vicariously through TH-cam. Fair Winds.
Merry Christmas to you!
On December 17th, a cruise ship that was bound to the Bahamas (from New York), cancelled that and turned North to Canada instead, because the weather was too nasty. Quite a shock for the passengers. I hope YOUR weather isn't bad.
One small thing. The Q-flag and the courtesy flag should be flown from the starboard spreader.
Merry Christmas to you!!! Weather for the past 2-3 weeks has been very windy. Thank you for reminding us about the correct side to fly the flags. That totally skipped our minds!!
Great to see Davis anchoring. Well done !! You see you’ll learn more on a boat than in any school class. Sailing has so many similarities to lessons in life. Great teamwork.
Thank you very much! We feel the same! Davis is learning so many valuable life skills. Thanks for watching!!
Great video merry Christmas to your family and you 🎄🏴❤️🎄🏴❤️
Merry Christmas to you!!
I Hope you have a blessed Christmas in the Bahamas
Thank you very much! Merry Christmas to you!
Have you tried motion sickness glasses? Inexpensive and worked well for some of our friends.
I have not tried the glasses as so far the Emeterm band seems to be working - that and not drinking coffee and staying well hydrated has been key! I did have them on my list as things to try though 😊
Merry Christmas! I have been trying to follow you by your AIS on PredictWind. It is showing that you have been at West End for around a month. I am hoping to bring my boat to the Bahamas in March. I will keep an eye out for you guys.
Merry Christmas to you too! We don't have the data hub, so AIS location on the trackers will only be when we are near a ground station that will record the location. We are setting up our Patreon site with a level of access to gain our tracking info via our Garmin InReach. Please visit www.sailingparadisefalls.com to check it out. Thanks for following our journey!
Small tip.... The Q flag and curtesy flag are to be hoisted on starboard side...
Thank you for the reminder!! Will change that asap!! Merry Christmas!
Looks like you're having a good start to your travels except for the weather sneaking up on you.
Merry Christmas y'all. Have a safe Happy New Year.
Yep! Weather in the northern Bahamas this time of year is not fun but hopefully moving further south soon! Merry Christmas!!
Merry Christmas 🎅.
I hope yall have an amazing time.
Merry Christmas!! Thanks for following our journey!
Thank you very much! Davis is especially excited for Christmas. Fresh cinnamon rolls are rising now and awaiting tomorrow’s breakfast! Merry Christmas to you!!
Happy New Year.
Happy New Year!!
Merry Christmas in the Bahamas from Bermuda!🇧🇲
Merry Christmas!! Thanks for watching!
Why the requirements for the genetic for AC? How much solar do you guys have? How much Batteries?
We have 2450watts of solar and 900amo hours of lithium. We could run our AC off the solar but that uses a LOT of electricity. Honestly, since we have been out of the marina we have not used or needed it - granted that was Oct, Nov and Dec😊
Merry Christmas guys!
Merry Christmas to you too! Thanks for following our journey!
I am so happy you guys made it to the Bahamas safe. Davis is the coolest kid and is learning so much about sailing. He will be a pro in no time at all. I know you guys are so proud of him.
Davis is a pretty great kid! He is our most challenging and charismatic kid so he is constantly keeping us on our toes!
