Is the system upto pressure? Has it had all the moister evacuated and refilled?

@@drivewaydiyer6504 here’s what I’ve done. Since I’m a beginner when took down the compressor it lost a lot fluid, so what did did is emptied completely, and put new oil in it. I installed everything, yesterday I tried to recharge it but I think it didn’t work. And that’s why o know the fan isn’t kicking in.

Not sure on them, probably. Follow the pipe work round. Should be fairly accessible.

To be honest, I’ve never tried, I don’t think so.

Well the first thing to check, are you getting spark? You swapped over the fuse box? That would need coding to the ecu. The coil is controlled by the ecu aswell, is there any water damage there or green crusties. Check all the connections that you unplugged for water ingress. Definitely check the ecu. Do a pedal test aswell.

@@drivewaydiyer6504 Hi Thanks for super prompt reply. Sorry bit of a novice - how do I check for spark. Changing the fuse box didnt require any programming. Didnt see any water damage on ecu or any green. Will check connectors tomorrow. What is a pedal test? Last resort is send off my ecu to get it cloned but dont feel too comfortable with that or 100 sure how it works.

@@ishaqfazal1719 to test for spark, pull out the coil, plug the connector back in. Get a test light attach it to ground and hold it close to the coil stem and get someone to crank it. See if there’s any spark

Check for air and possible blockage in the coolant system or water pump failure. Give the pipes a good squeeze . Try flushing the system out. Is there any gasket sealer in there?

Try flushing both the block and the radiator and make sure it’s bled thoroughly.

I think the service date is to change once a year to be safe.

When you press the horn, can you see how many volts you’re getting at the fuse box, if you’re getting good voltage there, then there’s obviously a relay issue or a wiring issue. Sounds like the CIM is ok.

Well firstly I’d try cleaning it, but there’s lots of reasons your car is surging, could be a vacuum leak , could be egr. Try unplugging the sensor to see if there’s any change, in performance. Do a pedal test, to see if there’s any related codes.

Any signs of cream in your oil, check under the dash board could be a leaking matrix. Any sign of leaks from pipes and around the timing belt area?

@@drivewaydiyer6504 Thank you for your reply. No cream in my oil. I have checked all the pipes and still no leak. I will check under the dash board.

@GuyGuy-rq3te if no luck, then do a pressure test on the system, there maybe a pinprick hole somewhere, that’s leaking when under pressure. Sometimes the only give away is some colour from the coolant when it crystallises.

Check all the grounds , they may share the same ground. Check all the obvious stuff like voltage to the connector. I suspect there’s still a CIM issue, especially if it involves the headlights.

Check for leaks, drop in fluid levels. Sounds like your clutch is gone, possibly slave cylinder. Trying pumping the pedal with your hand, see if it firms up. Check for leaks first though.

Insurance job, it’s classed as part of the body structure. Very expensive and it will get longer.

The thermostat opens between 90 and 105 degrees Celsius depending on what type of thermostat you have.

mine stays between 105 to 107 when idling ?

Could be the nipples blocked, might be worth giving it a clean out. Makes sure the reservoir caps off aswell.

As in the grey pipe from the master cylinder?

@@drivewaydiyer6504 yes I mean that one pip which coming DOT4 from tank to the master cylinder then other pip from master cylinder coming to the gearbox and ther is also nipples but the pip which coming from master cylinder to the gearbox here not coming hydraulic.

Hi , if there are pipes missing, you need to put them in, if that’s what you mean. The system has to be air tight to bleed, so anything missing won’t help.
