Ignition coil voltage leak problem diagnosis, arcing when wet

Had a running problem with this Ford Focus, it was intermittent, so we paid attention and logged down when it happened. It became clear that it was a damp problem and with a water spray, we could see straight away it was arcing and leaking voltage.
