Testing the radiator/ AC fan on a Vauxhall Opel Zafira b

  • Noticed my radiator fan isn’t kicking in, so I need to test the unit first before changing it. See how I got on.

    Hi there what was the red one for ive got to do the same but probably going to run a switch to it so i can turn it on as and when

      I suspect it’s a control/signal wire from the control unit i.e. a/c and CTS rtc

      @MrAw123456 well the car will run hot before the fan kicks in, which is normal for these cars. I changed the thermostat, which has a built in CTS , that has cleared the related code. My AC compressor is not working, which I believe is what causing the fan not to kick in its cycle. I suspect I have a leak in the AC system somewhere. I’m going get it recharged and hopefully that will reveal, if the systems needs repairing. But the fan itself is working.👍
