I filed taxes for 2020 but I have not filed my 2021 taxes and I have to do it due to finincial aid reasons that they need the information for that year to add to my finincial aid. But taxes after 2021 I have filed ass well. But I wanted to ask is there a way you can check how many stimulus you have gotten and if not how many you can still qualify for up to now?

Why do you start the video talking about adding a dependent if the video is supposed to be about receiving a forgotten stimulus check? I forget to cash my stimulus check. It expired. So now I want to amend my taxes so that I can get that stimulus money. However I don't know what to put on the form. I didn't make any money. I just put 1 dollar the year I filled and received the stimulus check. Do I put 1 dollar again.

Back in the day, when I purchased my first home to live-in; that was Miami in the early 1990s, first mortgages with rates of 8 to 9% and 9% to 10% were typical. People will have to accept the possibility that we won't ever return to 3%. If sellers must sell, home prices will have to decline, and lower evaluations will follow. Pretty sure I'm not alone in my chain of thoughts.

If anything, it'll get worse. Very soon, affordable housing will no longer be affordable. So anything anyone want to do, I will advise they do it now because the prices today will look like dips tomorrow. Until the Fed clamps down even further, I think we're going to see hysteria due to rampant inflation. You can't halfway rip the band-aid off.

Home prices will come down eventually, but for now; get your money (as much as you can) out of the housing market and get into the financial markets or gold. The new mortgage rates are crazy, add to that the recession and the fact that mortgage guidelines are getting more difficult. Home prices will need to fall by a minimum of 40% (more like 50%) before the market normalizes. If you are in cross roads or need sincere advise on the best moves to take now its best you seek an independent advisor who knows about the financial markets.

Good video and good advice. Yet, since you brought up that the mortgage company/bank did not send you a letter, all red flags and alarms went off in my head, so I wanted to give you these two cents. You should have received a small check ($50-$400) in the mail up to 90 days afterwards since the payoff balance never matches when they get your money and clear the account (and remaining escrow). That check comes with a letter, nice or not, that will inform the payoff. And, also spills some warnings to protect themselves, like they won't pay your escrow or home insurance because the escrow is closed and now is YOUR responsibility. Nonetheless, is uncanny that you did not get any letter with a check, small or large, very inlikely that the day the last payment cleared the money was perfectly matched. Since they were silent, here is my concern (as a retired attorney who heard many horror stories); The county tax office always had you are homeowner, even when the bank had the note, but, hidden from people and the website, there was a lien....Go to the county's tax office in person and ask if there is still a lien on the property. The bank needs to RELEASE the lien and the county needs to receive that. And, (back to horror stories), I had a few ask for my help because years down the road (always when a death occurs and we are all in Probate already) they find this out and the bank is out of business or changed addresses, names, closed and was absorbed/sold their wallet to another bank, etc. Just go and check...and get the gorgeous paper that reads NO LIENS OR ENCUMBRANCES...this is something you won't find in the website, at least not where I live (perhaps your county is awesome and provides it as a public document to read but is not likely).

Presently, mortgage rates have reached their highest point since the year 2000, spanning a period of 23 years. Considering inflation trends, there's a possibility that this figure might continue to escalate. To provide context, the 30-year fixed rate was only at 5% around this same time last year. Faced with this scenario, the question arises: should I continue waiting in anticipation of a potential housing market downturn before making a purchase, or is it more prudent to shift my attention towards the equity market?

Distinguishing between money management and the accumulation of wealth is crucial, and the educational gap in schools could be a factor contributing to people's challenges in sustaining financial prosperity. So all your tips are great, but you should preface this with the fact that you rented it out and THAT is what paid your mortgage. YOU didn't pay it. So the money you put towards it was the extra. This is not really an option for people that only want a place to live. You did say that you 'made' about 7k a year on it. So even with expenses you had a big profit.

I just wanted to share my own experience. I used to use the HELOC method (2nd position HELOC) to pay off my $ 300,000 mortgage in 4.5 years. Yes, the HELOC method works. It is not a scam! Now, I have just bought a 2nd house, and currently I am in the process of converting it to the 1st position HELOC. HELOC is really a powerful financial tool to help pay off the mortgage much faster.

After a terrible 2022, shell-shocked financial backers have a lot to think about and losses to recover from. An expansion report and a wealth of other data did little to alter assumptions that the Central bank would likely keep raising interest rates regardless of whether the economy slows down. This implies that portfolios will experience more losses during the first quarter of 2023. I'm currently at a crossroads deciding whether to exchange my $250k security/stock portfolio; how might the continuous market volatility work to my advantage?

Concentrate on two main objectives. First and foremost, keep yourself safe by knowing when to sell stocks to reduce losses and maximize gains. Second, prepare yourself to gain from a market turnaround. I advise you to seek the advice of a representative or financial counselor

@ajange225 np. The banks will let you get loans up to 95% of property value for conventional. Some products will differ. So if your house is worth $500000 and say you owe $300000, you can get a loan up to $475000. You would get $175000 cash in this scenario and pay a mortgage on the $475000 loan. I would never suggest this. I like to be at 80% loan to value or lower to avoid PMI.

I admire the financial independence of people, But you can live better if you work a little more. After watching this I think there are people out there, on the extreme, who plan to die early just to be able to retire early. To each their own but to me, retirement isn't just about not having to work, it's about having the freedom to do whatever you might reasonably want, such as travel, buying things, enjoying life, etc. I don't think I could retire with less than $3m in income-generating investments, maybe $2m at the very minimum. I plan to work until I'm at least 45

100% agree with your strategy. My husband and I have been doing the same for several years. We paid one house off after 5 years (bought well below our means) and took that equity and built our dream home. We will have it paid off in 2025 for a total of 9 years making payments. We are excited about that. I just recently starting watching the velocity banking videos out there and my mind can’t make sense of it. You are still in debt people using this method! Spend below your means Keep your head down and don’t worry about what the Jones’ are doing. They will still be in debt up to their eyeballs and you get to retire at 55 if you want. That’s the life for us! God bless!
