I found you on your phorunner chanal. U was wondering what you did for a living. I thaugh you were a mechanic because u had lots of cool tools. But u also was thinking that you could have a desk job. I like the 2 chanels. Keep up the good work.
@@MillennialFinance101 no I had $2000 to invest and the decision was between apple and microsoft. I ended up buying Microsoft and selling it around 2005.
You only know it's a mistake in hindsight, taking profit is not a mistake. We can all say we 'wish' we bought or held some stock, some people may hold and it losses so I don't see this as a mistake
Opportunity cost is something else eh? lol I have to applaud your decision though because TSLA is a pretty unusual case and you'd probably been right the other 9/10 times. Thanks for sharing!
I drove the model 3 (my coworker had one of those too and I was slightly impressed with it also haha). The self driving was nerve wrecking but seems like a big winner for long distance driving (but tesla isn't really made for long distance driving). But the slighly longer charge time doesn't seem to bother people, which is good for Tesla
I did the same thing. Invested in a company but didn’t know anything about it. It tanked. I just assumed stocks go up. Lost about 80% before I sold! Now it sits at down 90%
Great confession. Don’t invest in something you don’t understand. Or don’t believe in. You can have a second chance now..... to buy now Tesla stock and start over and hold them for 5 years.
I try not to live with greed regrets! You were up $5,000! Profits are profits! And Tesla is a stock of its own nature, it doesn’t make sense but I’m on the crazy train now 😎👍🏻
The split just happened today! It'll probably be lame for a while. Vanguard is lame lol. I left them for charles. I'm going to try Fidelity soon. I left robinhood also due to the drama alerts and the ease of selling haha.
I STRONGLY suggest buying and holding for 1 year MINIMUM. Do not dare even look at the price until 1 year has went by. Long term, this stock could see growth upwards to $7,000 valuations and even $22,000 by 2024.
You are doubling your mistake right now by not buying back in. Tesla is going up another 10X from here. So in 10 years are you going to make another tear jerk movie, or proudly go ka ching? You are lamenting as if the rise has ended.
@@MillennialFinance101 yesterday I "lost" $260k. Today I made $120k. Yesterday after the loss I was still up 900% from my original investment last March. So, I focus on how lucky I am to be up 900%, not on how it hurts to be down 33%.
Love that you speak fast! You get alot of information across in a short amount of time! I love your delivery! New fan here!

This reminds me of the time I missed buying aaple back in 2002 for less than $10.
I had $5 to my name in 2002 lol

You're awesome! Great speaker! I enjoy the way you present your ideas. Good sense of humor!
Thanks for watching!
I’m still holding and plan on selling at $2500 or $600 after the split...what are ur thoughts? Hold or sell?
Hold hold hold! Exponential growth coming for this company long term
Ouch, goes to show we can’t predict the future. Thank you for sharing your experiences though your high and the lows!

thanks for watching. I have some Nikola stock now ;)
Awesome!
Thank you! Cheers!
“Buy long term and hold”. Im a new investor and I’m still working on this right now.
It's real tempting to keep checking or sell if things hit the fan or if they go up big. Hopefully things work out for your stock and you win big!
Tesla will go up 10x from here
Also, giga metals
@@rosstessien6677 my 20 shares are doing well still :). I bought 7 more (post split) at 350~.
I’ve driven a Tesla before. Very smooth and it’s the best electric car.

That's good you sold and moved on.
Ok but did you buy after the stock split??
No, I bought at around $1400/share so before the split :)

Yup!! Just 4 shares (now 20 due to split). Keeping forever to see this master plan unfold!!
I believe TESLA is at least an iPhone of auto. I expect Tesla to achieve 30% auto market sales.

yeah it may sound bad but it's not like not buying those 1000 bitcoins at $5 bad
I mean if I owned bitcoin and sold... yeah that’s would suck lol
Great story. Great clickbait. Lol Love your honesty and you sharing what you learned from the experience. I really appreciate that!

@@TheMiamiHeat haha you would think my short term capital gains tax would have kept me holding. I'm stupid lol. Lessons learned.
Millennial Finance 101 - you should do a video on the best brokerage. I’m not sure how to leave vanguard lol
john noveck - It’s in my Roth IRA, I won’t get taxed on any profits :) but yes, I plan on holding. It’s a wild ride with Tesla

ownership in a company. A stock is just a small portion.
