In, I don't even know how many seconds this clip was. But you, ma'am, have so eloquently elaborated so much of what I experienced beginning of 2021. I am, only now coming out; the light at the end of the tunnel. I can actually picture future plans. I've read so much on this functional freeze. But there was honestly nothing 'functional' in my freeze response. I've completed 2 therapists and still see my psychiatrist, but I have yet to hear any answers on the actual depth of my own freeze. You have shared far more, for myself, in almost 4 years of this crushing personal experience. I thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for sharing your vast amount of knowledge on this subject. There has got to be more education of this extreme side of post PTSD. Anyone experiencing this absolute, devastating blow to their life, family, personality, hobbies, interests - a persons life, just ripped out from underneath in general shouldn't be forced to white-knuckle, in some form or fashion, simple seeking answers to what in the world is happening. Without the words to ask, you dont even know where to search. I thank you so very kindly for spreading this awareness! Its absolutely liberating & validating. 💯🙏

Feeling extremely scared.. going to be unemployed and anxious about the future. Have bills to settle , loans to repay and family to handle .. being the sole breadwinner is certainly taking an adverse toll on mental health. Feels like the whole universe is working very hard to see me fail .. I am being setup for failure..

I am unemployed since 2018 (more than 6 years). I am diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder and ADHD. I have 2 Masters degrees and my profession could earn me decent amount of money. Due to my social anxiety and ADHD, I could not continue my job. I could not even organized my brain to send out job application. I am experiencing financial crisis everyday since. Just surviving by using money my parents and in laws gave me and my spouse. I have seen doctor and take antidepressant and ADHD meds for a long time but no help. Everyday I am lying down on bed watching youtube, struggling to perform self care task. I have no friends, no hobbies, no parents nearby as I am an immigrant at a new country. My spouse also has ADHD and anxiety and also struggling in earning money. I feel worthless, no meaning in life, and my anxiety is making me miserable everyday. I feel like I have a disability that no one can understand. People think I am lazy, wasting life. But I am trying my best to survive, day by day. I had a lot of dreams when I was young, but now I have no more energy, money, time and support to achieve them.

I had to quit my job after 3 month. The team I was working with had two individuals who had worked with the company for 30+ years and they were very grumpy and were not welcoming. I tried everything to be part of the team, talked to my boss for help nothing happened. I was told to deal with it as people are people. I ended up quitting, and have been unemployed for 4.5 months. All the moves I have made in my career so far has been because of my manager or direct supervisors. Lately, I have started to feel very hopeless, but keep reminding myself that time always changes... if good times don't stay for ever, bad times will also go away. I hope I can find a job that will be a good fit. I wish everyone watching this video best of luck.

I had a laptop worth 70k Rupees I was doing my portfolio( while I was studying my diploma degree after my UG 😢, Education scam is high here the course was not worth the money, they don't have staffs, students here started doing self learning from TH-cam videos )for graphic design,3D, animation while I was doing my final project of the course,my mother board got repaired for 2 time now I bought new laptop for 54k ruppees not for me but for my sister ,I can't make portfolios,as an indian women it's even more stressing for me,my parents were always talking about marraige and looking for groom,I'm literally stuck I can't focus on my portfolio, internship, job.my country has no good city that has access to public computer libraries to work.i don't know what to do,I'm ashamed to ask money from my parents.I want to run away and start a new life I don't know what to do I lost patience scrolling my phone searching for internships and filtering them,Too much demand. The money I spent for the course and laptops I can't even get a job to earn that money back and buy a new laptop,I'm literally helpless.I just want to finish my last project and search for a job or an internship near me to earn.i did a mistake by buying dell lap, another mistake was enrolled into worthless institution who can't even do group projects while teaching us,there no staff at all, creative field jobs are very challenging for me I don't know about others, People won't agree with me,but the population is one of the reason for unemployment because india is very competitive in all sectors not only govt jobs even private jobs, only thing I can do is Making a tea stall or food based small business but I don't want to do that I love creativity 😢I want to get into it,It's a dream for indian women to get out and live outside of their city, should able to travel in flight once in my life .im unemployed for 2 years i only worked 1 month it was my first company, the i cant tolerate that toxic place,i was over working there im also ashamed i cant even stay for 2 months im 22 after new months im gonna turn 23 im scared

Graduated as a programmer at the age of 26, first two months wasn't that bad, applied some places, went some interviews, but all of them was unsuccesful. After I got a job from a friend of mine, but it was just for 1-3 months as a driver. I enjoyed it, felt myself free, and still applied for jobs. Interviews again... 1 round, 2 round, rejected. Because I don't have relevant work experience. Still in this boat since february 2024... now it's september, and I found a good place, a good chance, I went 2 interviews for this company, they asked for a introducing video from me, everything went well, and here I am now, still waiting for the feedback. The worst part is that I need to stay in my parents house, very toxic people. They are good persons, but very toxic. We can't talk about our problems. And everybody in my family thinks me as a slave, who has always have freetime for everything. Technically I have, but my needs...😔 I can't plan a meeting with my friends, because they tell me my "task" in the last minute. And I feeling like I'm going crazy. Lost motivation, lost enthusiasm, lost goals, insomnia, irritability, restlessness, gut health issues, stomach pain. Zero understanding from my family. If I ask help, they only help me with shit examples of themselves in my age. I wanted to work as pizza delivery till I find a job in my profession, but my father told that his son won't do that shit job. I wanted to start a higher cathegory driver license for working with bigger vehicles and same... So I don't know what to do. On the other hand, he always blame office workers, because in his opinion they don't do anything. They only support me mentally and financially, If my goal is the same as theirs. How can I move out with 0 starting money? And how can I leave this house without make serious arguments? I thinking about going no contact, but I love them, I could't hurt them in this way. I said them these thing too, several times, in a calm way, and other ways too. They don't hear me.

37 years old and lost my job 6 months ago. I really like my job a lot and due to cutting costs lost it. Staying with my parents for emotional comfort, but they are getting old and my mother has advanced parkinsons. Applied to various positions and got about 8 interviews, yet nothing came out of it. Really worried that I might end up long term unemployed and miserable. My job was my life! Sometimes I wonder what is the point of living. 😢

@@khwaac I also lost my father just a couple of weeks ago. Now I (temporary) take care of my mother. Hoping for better times soon.... This dramatic turn of events was a great shock to me, but I still remain positive for a better future now. These events put eachother into perspective. A job is important, but losing family is actually far worse, yet when I beat and get over this I am positive I will return as a stronger person than ever! Strangely enough it also forces me to keep fighting, as that is something my late father would have wanted and I deserve for myself as well.

I can't work because of my disability but feel super worthless. I don't believe that anyone serves a purpose and instead our "purpose" is to simply live. I didn't ask to be born into this world and I certainly didn't ask to partake in a system that was not built for me, but still I get these thought of "what if I'm just pretending to get away with not working" but then again, if I were able to work, wouldn't I just get a job, so I don't feel so incredibly guilty of simply existing? I wish I had more people around me who I could relate to but everyones got a stable job and education

I’m not important and I don’t matter. That’s the truth. If I mattered, the people who hurt me would care. If I mattered, there would be justice for things. It’s hard but it’s the truth. People are objects in our current world and no amount of trauma therapy is gonna change that reality.
