How to Remove MT-03 ECU for REFLASHING!
มุมมอง 3032 หลายเดือนก่อน
An ECU (Engine Control Unit computer) reflash or reprogramming is very important to keep your Yamaha MT-03 running properly after modifying the exhaust or intake systems. Not reprogramming your ECU after modifications can affect the life of your engine and in the worst case can cause significant engine damage. This modified MT-03 has excessive exhaust popping from running slightly lean because ...
Does it Work? Windscreen Test on the MT-03 ~~~
มุมมอง 1.6K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
Does a small windscreen, flyscreen, or front cowl actually help control, stop, or reduce wind on the Yamaha MT-03? I test a popular windscreen design from FATExpress (see the link below), which is almost identical to the Yamaha OEM front cowl but is offered in two tints: light smoke or a darker smoke tint. Testing the small flyscreen at different highway speeds revealed if it is effective at co...

Acceleration TESTS Before Mods! - Yamaha MT 03
มุมมอง 5K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
I plan on getting an ECU reflash, velocity stacks, and an AIS block off plate on my Yamaha MT-03, but before modding, let's see how quick the bike is! Acceleration tests are performed in each gear with a final 5mph - 60mph acceleration run to set the baseline performance numbers of the bike. How quickly does a fairly stock Yamaha MT-03 accelerate? The bike does have a full exhaust installed fro...
GLORIOUS Exhaust Sound! - Yamaha MT-03
มุมมอง 5K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
The Yamaha MT-03 equipped with a Two Brothers Racing S1R Carbon Fiber Full System Exhaust sounds incredible! A 180 degree crank, parallel twin engine can actually sound spectacular with the right exhaust. I have not grown tired of the deep throaty growl that can come from such a small capacity engine. Revving through the gears as you accelerate, blipping the throttle as you downshift, and heari...

First TRACK Day on a Yamaha MT-03!

There are a few tips to do it the right way: ride for a bit to warm up your chain, pre-wipe, brush and use a chain cleaner to remove grime, let cleaner dry before applying lube, wipe excess lube, and finally, wait a bit before resuming riding to reduce lube fling. 7:15 I feel that through my screen XD them false neutrals man
Riding with your brights on around other drivers is not only illegal but irresponsible.
Thanks for the information. I really appreciate it the knowledge you provide to us!! 😄now I know how to dismount the tires in my 03
is the rear tyre the same size of the first one?
What country?
Hi, did you reflash and refit the ECU? Maybe the velocity stacks too? Interesting to see the results and how you feel it when riding.
Should I be concerned if I had to loosen the nut all the way to allow me to twist the throttle? Seems ok but I don’t know
That thing sounds really Good!
Where did you get your ECU flashed for the exhaust? Did you install block off smog plate?
No exhaust change video? 😢
My hearing is already bad before i started riding
looking forward to hearing your results from the 2wheeldynoworks exhaust tune and velocity stacks! subbed
im planning on doing these exact mods but the only difference is im looking to get a full akropovic exhaust. i relaly like your methodology of testing. great video
Dude amazing mechanical mt03 video I really appreciate the talking and straightforward instruction thank you
all this passing on the right, very stupid
Nice sound, very ugly color scheme wth lol
Would this upgrade only be relevant with a new exhaust system?
What is the size of the tire in the back and front?
can you make a video on how to wire accessories into the ignition switch
what was the cost?
I ride also a Tenere 700 and it is so tall and you feel every wind gust I limit myself to 20MPH winds, , especially out in the desert, the wind comes from all directions it seems.... good job, enjoyed the video...
Do the wrap yourself, or have it done? If you had it done, mind if I ask what it cost you?
interesting, in the UK the rules are stick left unless overtaking. It is considered dangerous driving by law to overtake on the left.
I wish i could hear mine like this. With ear plugs and wind noise, I can only hear mine if I'm really laying into it in the upper rpms. Then again, mine has stock exhaust.
What helmet cam/chin mount do you use?
I did my first oil change and I think I overfilled my MT-03 by 400 ml idk what to do now if it's ok or it needs to be drained.
nice videos thanks
Sounds good, very similar to the m4 street slayer,,
I have the puig screen on mine and love it,noticeable difference
Do you have a video on how to change / replace clutch levers? I had to get new ones cus I have a bent lever.
Not yet! I will get custom adjustable levers at some point.
I love mine! It works so much! ❤ being 5’7 it goes right over my head. And I use ear plugs.
Earplugs 💯
I used to have an mt-03. The windscreen made a big difference to me on the highway. Amazing what a little bit of plastic in the right place will do! Lol
Totally agree!
Any idea how do they compare to the Bridgestone S22? In grip and longevity mainly I have a Duke 390, i commute 70Km daily and i also enjoy drifting and sliding but i can't afford a new set of tyres every few months My current OEM tyres, ContiMotion are at the end of their life (a bit past that actually) now at 30K Km and i just can't decide which tyre would be better for me
The S22s have great reviews pretty much everywhere. Sporty tires last a long time on these small, lightweight, and lower powered bikes but I have no personal experience with S22 durability.
I dropped my brand new mt03:( I’m 100% down to get protection stuff now for the bike any recommendations
I dropped mine 2 times already rookie mistakes but you learned from it an you master it, advice i have for you protection slider for engine, hanlde bars an rear an front wheels sliders.
I LOVE mine! I think I over tightened mine. 😂 I got a black one looks so nice on mine - I have the blue bike
The "spacers" (plastic washers) are pretty thin and easy to tear when tightening but not critical.
Yes, very useful advice, just a bit confusing sometimes as in England, we drive on the left. As a result, any reference to lane discipline requires translation. Great channel, the mt 03 is a brilliant bike for the roads over here. Best wishes.
Thank you! Now is it true that driving on the left stems from the logistics around right handed jousting on horseback?
@mt03experience That’s an interesting concept but I’m not old enough to confirm that, lol !
👏 love this!
Will you make coolant and brake fluid change?
Eventually yes. I hope to show all basic maintenance.
That thing is a pig. It makes sense to get the ecu flashed as some fool put on a full exhaust. However, you shouldn't put any more money into performance on an mt03. You are only hurting resale value, and it will always be an mt03. That bike doesn't have enough power to be safe on the road. Practice and spend your money on upgrading to a new bike. Not hating, I like the educational content of you showing just what the bike will do.
you sound like a hater. let that man do his own thing, without your negativity
I've had a lot of different bikes over the years, from VFR800s up to superbikes (a CBR1000RR) and Ducati Multistradas. I currently also own a Concours 14 which is a rocket. Even though I have and have had faster bikes, I'm really enjoying the MT-03. I love wringing it's little neck, bouncing off the rev limiter, and not hitting jail time speeds so easily. A friend has a track prepped R3 and the extra bit of power and rideability from a flash and full exhaust makes it more enjoyable. I've taken bigger more powerful bikes to a few track days, but the track day I did on my MT-03 was the most fun I've had on track. I'm enjoying it for what it is.
@@mt03experience Don't you think it would be better to build a ninja 400 for the track?
"doesn't have enough power to be safe on the road" keep squidding sweetie pie
@@PrestoninParadisus I will. Good luck on the road, sounds like you need it.
I have plans to buy the mt 03, but here in brazil we dont have this color, and i really enjoyed your bike color. Nice vid too mate, keep going with this great content about this awesome bike.
Thank you! And just so you know, this color is not available anywhere directly from Yamaha. I removed all the plastics and had a friend cover them with 3M Gloss Lucid Yellow vinyl wrap ;)
idk if is just me, but i prefer only the pov camera
You're not the only one. It's not the first time I hear that. Thanks for the feedback.
It sounds very mint🔥
I have mt25 (same bike , with smaller engine), when i adjust the cable to make the rotation smaller, it becomes heavier to rotate. Compare to the original tube, does this r6 tube makes it heavier when you rotate the tube or just the same?
The larger diameter of the R6 throttle tube theoretically makes it a little bit heavier but I did not notice a difference. If it feels a lot heavier, disassemble and make sure your cables are not binding somehow.
@@mt03experience just for curiosity, does your bike's frame number start with letter MH...?
Yes, my VIN number starts with MH and location of manufacture is listed as Indonesia.
@@mt03experience so that makes sense, yamaha-Indonesia plant is also the main source for R3/mt03, while still producing R25/MT25.
u need to wait for the panel board to finish booting up before starting the bike right?
Does it in the long run, but hey.. not everyone likes a reliable bike i guess
You don't have to wait. You can hit start immediately. I just got used to doing that because some bikes do seem to start faster if you wait.
@@mt03experience yeah ofc you can, but we’re talking reliability issues in the long run.
If I ever own a big bike someday I would love it to sound like that! 💙💙💙
What's a "big" bike? Do you have a bike now?
@@mt03experience >125cc
@@ayoubm198 300cc is really not considered a "big bike"
In many parts of the world, 300cc is HUGE.
Ohhhh that does sound good! I like the bass haha
It's all about that BASS!
Sounds fantastic! Best sounding MT-03 I've ever heard.
i took a spill and now my front tire is rubbing against the mainframe cowling. its like i need to push the tire forward. any suggestions or just take tire right off?
This almost sounds like your forks may be bent... Does the front suspension still slide smoothly when you press down on the handlebars? Loosening the wheel, and fork clamps then retightening can help straighten things that shift after a fall.
@@mt03experience yes thats what it was thanks
I ride a KLR 650S, at open roads i tend to lower my head just below the forward wind turbulence. If i'm up right the wind hitting my head from the side, throws my bike off line. So tuckering behind my small wind screen and loosening my legs i minimize wind drift by roughly 80%. That's with a large top box on the bike as well. It has more to do with leverage of how tall your head is. Than the speed of the wind itself. Never a bad idea to practice different weather conditions so you're always ready.
I’ve only ridden at 12 gusts of wind ! I can’t imagine 40 gust!
Things can feel scary at higher speeds but the MT03 was very easy to manage!
@@mt03experience okay that’s good to know! Yeah I still need to get better at leaning further over sometimes I’ll go right up to the line and I’m like ahhhh hahah
