I'll give you my thoughts on the performance aspects of the bike, discussing its engine output, handling, and maneuverability and discuss why I chose the bike. I take the bike for a ride during my commute, sharing my thoughts on how it handles on the road and what it feels like to ride.

Hi, I've downsized too, love it except for the throttle, changed it for an r6 one, now good. The only thing that's awful are the tyres, slippy slidy in damp greasy weather. I don't miss the big power of my previous bikes at all, actually I love the smaller engines, just more fun. Small, light, low (I'm small, 5' 5") and now 65yrs old. Fitted hard panniers, screen, satnav etc as I tour quite a lot.
Awesome to hear I'm not the only one downsizing. Are you on the stock tires? What screen did you add?

Great review, I’ve recently downsized to an MT 03 and agree with everything you’ve said. I think it’s a great bike and can’t think of a better one for me, mainly because I’m quite short. You’ve got a new subscriber. BTW, you’ve mis-spelt “gauges” Look forward to seeing more videos. Best wishes.

i also went with the MT03 in December of 2021...but it was my first bike. Researched bikes for a solid month to figure out what i wanted and what's good for beginners. i always wanted a "crotch-rocket", have for 20 years, but the MT03 just caught my attention and kept it. Now, 15 months later i'm wanting to upgrade, deciding between the MT07, MT09 and XSR 900...probably going with the XSR 900, so much praise for that bike. AND...where is the track day footage?
The XSR900 is an awesome bike that I've seriously considered. Big jump in power but with a couple of years under your belt you should be able to handle it. Just take it easy at first. Man, don't remind me about the track! A family member came down with Covid the morning of and I had to take them to Urgent Care! Everyone is good now, luckily. I had the bike loaded on the trailer ready to go. I'll have to wait for the next one.

Personally I more like the mt03 over the R3. Creazy colour 😀 but cool.
Easier to work on with no fairings, more comfortable, and less common!

So you can take it off if it's scuffed and redo it or what?
@@1683clifton Yup. You can remove to go back to stock or redo the wrap on one panel if damaged.

@@Voltomess I didn't do it myself , it was $180 because I provided the material. With material included by the wrapper, it would have been $280-$325.

A windshield from puig or givi would cut some wind!

Thank you! I have a windshield from another bike I will try to fit and looking to wear the current tires out a bit more. Have heard good things about S22s and will look into those.

I e watch tons of videos on Yamaha MT-03 2023. No you so .most are saying you can get this bike new as low as $4599. I would like to know where. Most place ive seen $4999.
I bought mine used last year for $4200. My local dealer is advertising $4,999 new.
