How to Remove MT-03 ECU for REFLASHING!

- An ECU (Engine Control Unit computer) reflash or reprogramming is very important to keep your Yamaha MT-03 running properly after modifying the exhaust or intake systems. Not reprogramming your ECU after modifications can affect the life of your engine and in the worst case can cause significant engine damage. This modified MT-03 has excessive exhaust popping from running slightly lean because it has not been properly tuned; it has the Two Brothers Racing S1R Full System Exhaust installed and will soon have the TST Industries Velocity Stacks and Air Injection System (AIS) block off plate. 2 Wheel DynoWorks offers a mail in ECU reflash service that requires you to remove your ECU and mail it in for reprogramming. Removing the ECU is an easy do-it-yourself process as long as you keep a couple of key details in mind to avoid damaging the ECU.

Dang no info on the flash results. I’m getting this same tune tomorrow on my mt03 with full akra pipes and vel stacks. I’ll report my findings.

Would this upgrade only be relevant with a new exhaust system?
You can still get some gains stock but most bang for the buck when combined with a full exhaust.
