Pinstriping our Peterbilt HookLift Trucks
Have you ever wondered why truckers have their name painted on the door of their trucks? It's a tradition that goes back almost as long as the trucking industry itself, and today we had an incredibly talented artist customize our hook lift trucks by hand painting each driver's name above the door handle. Watch as these trucks come to life with a personal touch, making each one unique. From start to finish, we’ll take you through the process of transforming these trucks into something truly special. Top 7 Reasons Why Hooklift Trucks will ALWAYS Be More Profitable than Rolloff Trailers!
CASH 💰 IS KING !
I’m doing my research because I wanna dive into this and here’s a prime example of a niche market and how to think of I expand for the different markets for dumpsters . Excellent service Señor.
When’s a new video coming I can’t wait
Man we have guys that are renting at 280 and that’s 1ton included like not paying for anything I’m here to make money not give it away
This was one of the best informative and good business sense podcast. Keep it up
Great advice! Just getting ready to start a company and you definitely saved my ass!
Thanks for the tutorials, was curious about hook lifts as I operate a roll off truck.
Is it worth it to invest in software and automation from the get go in your dumpster rental biz? We will be a one woman and one man operation, and we both have other businesses. I’m concerned our expenses are getting too high already and we haven’t even started! Trailers are being picked up next week! Woot!
I disagree with the auto tarp! We have Manuel roll up tarps. When you have a auto tarp and you have pallets of freight to unload off of the flat bed the auto tarp gets in the way. Yes having a Manuel rollup tarp is a little more work but it makes you a lot more versatile. Yes I am a landscaper and I do need to move my crew. But this is not a family truck. I do like having the longer body because you have more leverage when picking up a heavy load. Most of what we haul is lighter weight anyway so paying the weigh penalty of what we can haul is not an issue for us we are using 5500 RAM’s. We pull a 37’ deck over -24,000. Gooseneck on our hooklift we have a flat bed for the hook lift with a gooseneck ball in the bed. We just have to use a couple of load binders to lock the bed down when pulling the gooseneck For me I have to have a Class A cdl to pull the trailer anyway, if I was going to buy a bigger truck I wouldn’t scare me a bit to purchase a cdl truck. This my opinion!
Hard truth is what we are looking for. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. I am just getting into the biz, deciding on what equipment to start with, and appreciate the info in this post.
You didn't mention condensation. I've always heard it's better to keep them full. That's a win for filling after work. You mentioned before that you're a high idler, but these DEF trucks aren't fans of idling.
Hey John I'm just getting started I already run 26ft non Cdl box trucks out of Ct, I came across your channel and has been a student ever since, where do you recommend I buy my cans? I already reached out to ruble trucking regarding a 6500
I'm really glad you posted this video. I was curious as to why, in your previous video, you stated you have nothing to do with roofers. I am just getting into the biz and am glad to know. Thank you!!
Hey man, what’s this set up that you’re driving in this video ?
Wow, it's like leaving your junk hangin' out. Awkward public relations.
Good video, I use this to train the new hires here in St George UT. Trashinator.
Great video John. I only have cable pull, so I don't have that choice. But first thing that came to mind was the safety factor of someone rear ending the truck before you even mentioned it. SAFETY FIRST.
5:50 stay pretty! Makes me feel young again inside seeing handwritten names
Gold leaf and free handhand paint... Brings me back to my youth! 😂 Today, our guys have "their" full sized trucks, and they have vinyl names on the doors, the small trucks do not have dedicated drivers so no names.
Excited for this! Can’t wait to see you continue to grow.
John your a great mentor, id definitely be interested in a franchise here in Northwest Ohio. There's one guys who has the market and id love to shake up his monopoly, you definitely have your t and I crossed and definitely got your business going thru the universe, , id love to get into the game with u ,I don't have the capitol to get my LLC started,
Awesome! I’m not at this level yet, but absolutely a cool idea! I love the level of professional trucking you bring to dumpster running! #littlejunkers
@@LittleJunkers Thank You friends. It’s something our whole industry can share and enjoy together. Keep hustling, I enjoy watching your moves for sure
Your absolutely right about having a Driver’s name on door, it brings respect and pride, curious about nick names you came up with, love it, don’t answer here about nick names, talk about it in your next video, great video. 👍
@@andrewkolarek4551 I’ve always given drivers and barbers nicknames. I gave Sticky his name over 9 years ago, and I know even his parents call him by the name Sticky. Cooter, that’s a newer name with a pretty funny story I’ll share in another video. These guys love having their trucks even more individualized. Thanks for watching brother
You should do this with the mirrors at your barbershop
We did this to our front windows at the barbershop and added in some gold leaf as well. It's ridiculously badass looking. Customers are always mentioning it. Never considered the mirrors tho....
@ I really love the old school trailers with the murals on it.
@@matthewferguson2515 Same. Just don’t see them enough anymore
First!
If you aren't first... your last. #rickybobby
Great, educational video!
What an offer for an individual to progress on,very admirable of you
Tip number 8: win the lottery because these trucks are $125,000+.
21:07 100th Like! I’ve never seen a dog’s shock collar go off from a hug!
32:54 nice
I’m interested John.
Shoot me over an email my man.
What if you have a small dumpster business already? 🤔
Shoot me an email and we can always have a conversation.
Hell yes!!!
It's time to make big moves.
Hmmm Same Day dumpsters 🇨🇦 has a nice ring to it 😉
I agree, sounds pretty nice.
This model may not be for everyone but if I’m honest with myself, i could say I’ve made over $100k in “mistakes”. There is value in having somebody map out a blueprint for you.
It's amazing how much we can learn from our mistakes when we're willing to take risks. Thanks for the contribution.
I go by Ruble Truck Sales every day on my way to work. I actually used to work there before they moved into that building.
38:47 my wish, next year
33:20 wow
Tons of excellent information, thank you very much! Keep doing you sir!
In my opinion it just looks cleaner and more professional to put the hook back in position.
1:08:14 I don’t ask many questions because I don’t want to waste your time. I’m not even in the business yet. Do you have a “minimum” weight charge always? I haven’t been to a transfer station yet but I imagine they have a minimum like our landfill. Thanks
20:20 my second time through this one, it’s mind provoking. This insight is a gift, that is the correct verbiage for me.
13:40 interesting
👊🏾👊🏾
What is the dimensions of that 30 yard Dumpster
Great video
Hope you learned a thing or two about keeping your hooklift truck safe. Thanks for watching.
I have a sensor when it's down, it beeps so no raw dogging here,,only the Mrs.
Smart man. Both your truck and your lady Thank You.
raw no rubber is the only way to go
Do what you like, just don't run with your hook down!
Kind of funny this exact thought was on my mind today . I never leave the hook down because it just feels like a sin but im always tempted to due to time saving.
Some say it makes you more efficient, others will call you lazy. It's a personal choice for sure. but it will cause long term issues on your cylinders and seals for sure. Thanks for watching the channel my man.
Safety factor (someone rear ending your hook) is the first and only reason you need, the rest is just piling on. Yard only, never on street.
Agreed. The additional exposure someone takes on running with their hook down is the only real reason guys need to know to NOT do this. I figured you guys don't do it as I've never seen a picture or photo of any of your trucks ever running on the street down. Thanks for the comment. As always, very much appreciated.
