  • A CANCELATION POLICY.
    A Cancelation Policy isn't just an upsell or add on I offer. It's peace of mind for my business and my clients as well. Not only does a cancelation policy show your customers that your professional and experienced, it also makes sure my business in taken seriously and my time is respected. Ever since I added a solid cancelation policy to my business, it has been smoother than ever, with fewer last minute cancelations. If you're struggling with customers being respectful of your time and money, then a cancelation policy is a must for your business.

    As always, thanks for the content! We have not had cancelation insurance up to this point. However, I love the idea of it and will be implementing it as soon as our attorney reviews the language surrounding it in our service agreements. In the past we have just charged the customer a percentage to cover credit card processing. I love the way you explained your policy and we will be scrapping our cc percentage policy and replacing with cancellation insurance as an available add on.

      Offering cancellation insurance is a great "add-on" and I have found customers view your business as far more professional and reputable than all the other companies that are just "renting dumpsters"

    I think you should create a Patreon for your true TH-cam watchers. We check your channel everyday for new content because we never know when it will drop. It is disappointing when there isn’t a new video and we get excited when there is. There are other channels to go to, but it is not the same. Allow the people that pay to at least see a video a week and the regular users get parts of it. If I am not mistaken I believe you said there would be a video every Sunday. I love the content. Best roll-off content by far and I watch them all. This channel is like crack. One day doesn’t roll by that I don’t check the channel. Keep up the good work!

    I’ve had cancellation ins add on the website for a few months. Haven’t had one take it. I’ve had a few choose my guaranteed delivery slot and my diamond selection but not the cancellation option and it’s only $25.

    So how do you work the situation if they cancel but don’t pay for the cancellation insurance? Do you keep the rental money?

      Yes, that's correct. We offer it and encourage our clients to choose that option... so if they decline that coverage and then cancel, we keep 100% of the rental.

      We developed our own to track our rentals. We couldn't find a software that would do everything we wanted / needed it to do for us.

    So you charge an additional 49.00 on each rental as insurance cancellation ?
    Do you also have a customer sign a contract before every rental which states all the extra charges ? Our transfer station charges for a lot of extra items. I’m assuming yours does too.
    Did you draft up your contract or get it online ?

      I "offer" Cancellation Insurance at $49.00 It's an upsell or add-on for me, I don't automatically charge everyone for it. The customer choose or not to opt into it.
      Yes, every customer when they rent from my website have to agree to my "terms and conditions" that's where my contract lives and comes into play when renting from me.
      I had my attorney draft up, review and finalize all my contracts. I didn't just go online and start pulling templets. My contracts are dumpster rental specific and cover every area imaginable for every situation anyone could possibly think up.

    175 cancellation / trip charge fee unless the truck can be routed to a site that’s within a 5 minute drive.

    This might be a stupid question. But if clients don’t take the cancellation policy and end up canceling. How much percent do you keep?

      100% of the rental, that's the whole purpose of offering it. It's no different than the airlines, or cruise industry or anything else. We offer the cancellation insurance in the event they need to change plans. If they purchase the insurance, they get 100% of their money back, if they don't purchase the insurance, as unfortunate as it is, they don't receive any of their monies back.
