Good stuff! Most of these hook designs seem super sketchy lol. I have an early 90s Ampliroll, and it has a thumb that folds down when depressed, and pops back up and holds cans in super secure. Gotta bring that design back!
Let’s face it, the 90’s were the peak for all of us as a species. Everything was cooler in the 90’s for sure. I’ve seen that hook in action on your page and I agree, it’s pretty badass. Thanks for checking in my friend.
My Stellar NXT has a 'full' thumb compared to your thumb which looks like it was cut at the knuckle. I also have a safety latch that flips down to create a full circle over the dumpster bar when loaded. With my 2.5" bars, the problem I have is getting unhooked from the dumpster. I've got about a 1/4" extra opening is all.
Stellar makes some really solid products for sure. I started on Palfinger and have never owned a Stellar, but I've been around them plenty enough to know they are a very good hooklift system.
Great video John! Appreciate you informing us about a topic that is rarely discussed! I especially appreciate this now know this BEFORE getting into the hook lift game. Thank you!
I appreciate the continued support of the channel brother. Def something to be aware before you start ordering cans and make the switch over to Hooklift. Drive safely out there my friend
The Multilift XRL series arms have gravity triggered hook locks that keep the bar in the hook. As well they have a different rear locking system that a pin slides into a saddle which keeps the bin from being able to move forward at all when you are braking. Once you jib forward and the rear locking pins slide into the read saddle the bin can't bounce out of the rear locks and can't slide forward any further. I totally agree that bins need to be designed properly in the first place, but there are systems out there that help you deal with those issues with the arm design. Great content yet again. Glad to see you back at it brother!
For the guys running that specific unit it sounds like they might have some of these concerns figured out. Thanks for your comment and sharing with the hooklift community. Much appreciated.
@@Evanxkenders I appreciate your comment and input. As unfortunate as it is, it is a problem with many of the dumpster manufacturers in our industry. Just wanting to share some experience with others and hopefully help everyone out a little bit moving forward. Thanks for supporting the channel, I appreciate you.

Hey John, great video. I know it’s a little bit off-topic. I was wondering if you could do a video on your same-day secure dumpsters
