Non manga reader here. I think Sakamoto Days has got me more emotionally invested that JJK and Demon Slayer did in their first few episodes. I see it as a drama, comedy and action story. So I don't compare it to the top 1% action sequences out there. I compare it to 80% of other anime, that have to cut corners in so many places to, and jump frames in fight sequences as well. People will complain online only because its easy. They should watch some of the other 10-30 anime that come out every season to realise what is lazy/budget animation, and what is true to source and creative in its own way. Loved your video showing how the anime has gone beyond what the manga has. It reminds me of One Punch Man S01.

It makes no sense to group things by demographic. Since Tokyo Ghoul is Seinen, and Koe no Katachi is Shounen. HUH??!! How? Why? What defines Seinen's feeling to me, more so than the 3 mega hits mentioned above, are the smaller stories. My favorites are "After the Rain," which is about 2 people reconnecting with hobbies they used to enjoy but abandoned out of fear. And "Fune wo Amu," which is about writing a dictionary... Yes. Only in anime can you find such a diverse list of topics to make a story about. And this one just feels different from the rest.

the changing of ones gender is actually pretty normal. happens quite regularly, especially for "immortal" beings. after all one generally can't just stay in one form all the time(or won't perhaps more so, as every story has it's path, and even in a infinite story, existance finds a way to still make multiple versions). I work with magical creatures a lot. and regularly also have to teach some of them that is normal for that to happen, though generally it is most common to just not have a humanlike gender, or the physical gender changing, and the mental often even faster. for myself being a dragon I obviously also do not have a fixed gender, both fysically and mentally, and in other forms. I guess many people these days have trouble finding certain things because they forgot about that part, magical creatures rarely limit themselves to one form. fairies and dragons for example generally are the same beings(when looking at the magical white light like ones). also very often called angels by humans. most difference is in the way we express ourself in that moment, also depending on who etc. and ofcource if in a physical form and if so what form.
