They just kicked the director behind the ep1. Replacing him by outsourcing by another studio. Outsourcing is quiet expensive and such many studios keep it at the most least thing they should touch. Studio 8bit were never a bad studio, watch reincarnated as a slime and the irregular at magic highschool, the animation is legit insane But regardless part of me thinks they only took blue lock for money they could have easily cancelled it, but they didn't 😂

I sincerely hope that they at least take advantage of the fact that they aren't stopping the production of this season so that they can animate the 3rd season to release alongside the 2026 world cup without any time constraints. I am heartbroken that season 2 looks this bad and is pretty much beyond saving but season 3 is going to be even harder to animate because they have to animate 4 matches. 1 being almost as long as the U-20 match and the final one looking like it might be even longer. a year and a half will be a requirement if they want to make that season good and they absolutely cannot mess it up if blue lock is gonna have any future as an anime at all.

Its kinda crazy if budget isn't that much of a problem, why are there barely any studio taking advantage of the "loss leader" marketing? I have seen newbie animators pulling off 10 sec sakuga in 1 week better than most animators working in the industry and somehow an studio having around 20+ veteran animators working on an episode (which means it should go faster to make it) are struggling to make something move. The studio could potentially tripple the time without hurting their return on investment, and get 10 times better product which in return gives them more money in the long run. They can even take advantage of the merchs that are being sold like hotcakes to increase the quality on the adaption, its an instant win/win situation on both parts (even more people would buy toys). Its so little that needs to be done to make the biggest spectacles out there, but every anime studios out there are too braindead to understand what matters. This is why its silly when studios like Mappa reeks in money and have some of the best animators in the industry working on their project and all they need to do is give them some extra time cause they are being paid shit so the studio aren't losing much for what the benefits they will get if they make a godlike animation product.

In short, they didn't have time so they had to cut scenes out, the guy was right about the snowball thing as well I think the only fix is giving them an extra week before the next ep cause lowkey ep 5 wasn't even that bad (no soccer was played). Wait that might be a good thing, like he said dialogue scenes can be animated in roughly 1/3 - 1/6th of the time as actual movement meaning they likely had the episode done without to much rushing, if time is the problem they get a good reset for the next few episodes.

He just doesn't like to fool around like other characters and has a mysterious aura to him which seems edgy but that's literally how his personality is, also his dynamics with isagi and sae are TOP TIER, idk how u can hate rin😂 And bachira was the first character to open isagi's eyes in motivating him to play against strong opponents, I love his personality and character development throughout the manga, Rin and bachira are both S tier characters writing wise
Storyboard artists and directors are in charge of the adaptation process. If he spent all his time reading manga for all his projects he probably would have even less time to animate.

And bachira was the first character to open isagi's eyes in motivating him to play against strong opponents, I love his personality and character development throughout the manga, Rin and bachira are both S tier characters writing wise

Storyboard artists and directors are in charge of the adaptation process.
If he spent all his time reading manga for all his projects he probably would have even less time to animate.

@soempty.1236 that's more of a mismanagement of time from the higher ups than anything. His job is animating a few scenes. Not adapting a story.

@@jihnjohncayna you can look it up to know more because it's interesting but storyboarding is laying out how a story unfolds before it's put on screen. It's between the planning and execution. Most choreography happens here
