does forced feedback work?
Amazing review as usual my man, very detailed, production quality on point, pack full of info, looking forward to seeing more of them in the future. Ps: You might want to set some extra sound absorptions pads here and there, around the 11:55-12:05 you can hear some voice echo once in a while, nothing major, but somewhat noticeable.
Thank you! And, yes, I agree with you. The original audio was much, much worse and software tried its level best. The whole room is sort of empty with only the rig in the middle. I'll definitely add some stuff and sound absorption pads.
Nice breakdown, that’s what we needed to see, the inside guts. Thank you, great work!
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it
U got also problems with R9 in Snowrunner? For me Forcefeedback is trying to turn wheel only to the left
This is Mudrunner my friend. Snowrunner didn't work with Moza sadly.
Officials say the entire hub is made of pure carbon fiber, which ensures hardness and reduces weight! This is also what impressed me!
Yes it is indeed pure carbon fiber. The build is top notch!
am i able to add Fanatec's QR2 ?
Sorry for the late reply. Yes, it can be attached.
Great review as always. I bought these as a back-up set. But am disappointed with the brake elastomer. It is to short, so there is a huge amount of travel before reaching it. Poor design there I believe. Everything else is fine except that. I'll sell him pretty soon.
Thank you. I heard somewhere that there will be an elastomer kit for P500.
@@darthsnape I hope so! I heard they we're thinking about it, but nothing official. You probably know more then me :)
I really enjoy your reviews. Something a little different, enjoyed the tare down. Check out the Daniel Newman Racing plugin and profiles for Simhub is my advice.
Great review. Ordered mine this morning.
What made you buy it?
@@darthsnape Because its new, shiny and available lol. In seriousness, I have the Simagic eco system. Alpha DD, P1000 pedals, Neo wheel, FX wheel as well as the GT1 Hub and GT Pro hub with a variety of wheel rims. I think this will sit in the middle of 'bare bones hub' (GT1) with old fashioned round wheel for older road cars and the GT Pro hub for GT3/4 racing. I plan on putting this hub on my Cube Controls GT PRO V2 rim and have it more as an interim hub.
@@visorcover My GT1 was giving me the stink eye while I was spending quality time with the hub.
Great review buddy! Love your simagic reviews!, I saw that on the PCB when i had a look and laughed too, a referenced to Will Buxton in F1 Drive to survive with his stupid comments lol "To finish first, you must first finish" hahahaha
Haha, thanks for the info, I was unfamiliar with the reference lol. And I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
You may have heard it via Will first, but that saying goes a looong way back in racing history and predates any use by Will.
This is THE only review of the Neo X hub that i was waiting for. Let's go !
Haha, thanks 😄
Finally! Sim Racing content from/in India.
💪🏼😉
I really wish Moza makes RS Wheel open an ecosystem as well. I am kind of excited about FSR 2.
Oh I eyed the RS a lot back when I had the R9 🫠
i'm having trouble debating the Neo X and their GT Pro Hub (K) with the joysticks. I already have the GT Neo but if i'm looking at the prices, i'd assume the GT Pro would have better quality/construction. After watching this, I can't decide to buy which haha. I drive in VR so I won't even be looking at the LED's, I would care more about the feel and quality. But then again, it seems like the Neo X is more up to date with their tech compared to the GT Pro Hub in terms of SimHub. GT1 Hub is out of date and the GTS can't swap wheels, I have a Momo Steering wheel I want to attach on these hubs. Which would you prefer over those two in your opinion?
Oh, definitely the new one. I’m with you on the build quality and materials used for the GT pro hub, it’s more premium, but also slightly dated, slightly. If you don’t really care about the new stuff, the GT pro hub is still a solid option, minus simhub compatibility. The neo X hub is practically a GT neo with 2 less encoders and swappable rim/paddles. If you liked the GT neo, odds are, you’ll like this one too. All the buttons and encoders are same. Travel is same, resistance is same, just the added ability to swap stuff. And it’s also simhub compatible. But since you play on VR, it might not matter that much. If I were to invest in one, I’d pick the more latest one.
Maglink and Simhub support are the primary reasons to get the Neo X hub over the Pro hub,. The Neo X hub, like the GT Neo, can be used with any wheelbase via direct USB connection, and has additional functionality, telemetry data being one example, due to the inclusion of Simhub support. I personally wish they also updated the Pro hub with Maglink and Simhub support. The new Zeus range is of no interest to me.
@@darthsnape just bought the Neo X, i like my GT Neo but I just wish the encoders were not plastic, i heard you can replace the encoders on etsy for metal ones so maybe that’ll boost my experience with the both Neo X and GT Neo. I agree with you though, even though the GT Pro seems to be more premium, I think in terms of overall tech being newer in the Neo X is what persuade me. The GT Pro is obviously most costly but the fact that this seems to have more customability and more budget friendly seems to be great for the wider audience. seems like simagic is going towards the budget friendly route like Moza with the R3 or R5. let’s hope the simagic quality still holds up (which i’m sure they will) thanks darth snape!
Here for the quality reviews. Great insights and detail.
Thank you thank you!
I like the concept that they are offering flexible products at obtainable pricing. That being said by the time everything adds up I am not sure that other complete solutions are just as reasonable. It does open up options for specific use or custom wheels. I would like to see the offer some quality lower priced H pattern shifters and hand brakes. Thanks for sharing your views on this.
Exactly my point, by the time you add up other stuff, price goes up-which needs to be kept in mind. Perhaps Simagic might release something new. Who knows ;)
your videos are so great and indepth i really love watching them your videos are in fact so indepth it leaves me mostly without any questions ive yet managed to found someone who actually puts the wheels down on a scale to track the weight of it heads down for this you are a real one!
Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Please simagic come out with some higher end flagship level products again lol. This is still awesome though! I also really hope they stop going to this more child like look. I want and love there industrial clean stylish look.
Some flagship stuff is on the way 💪🏼
@darthsnape thank god!
are these virbations loud?
Umm, not exactly. If you are sitting in a dead quiet room, you'll be able to hear it. Otherwise, no.
@@darthsnape Ohhh in that case these wouldnt work for me, thanks so much brother!!!!!!!
Love the callback to RBR! Beam has indeed a lot to offer and it will only get better from here on out! Liked and subbed!
God, this game gave me PTSD. The cops here are way harder than MW2005. Whenever I saw a Hennesey Venom, I would panic. That's how fear-inducing the cops are. Love the review! One note, this game was made in spirit of Hot Pursuit and the Classic NFS. Hence, the lack of visual customisation.
You're right. I have only seen Venom a few times but my sign to stop fooling around were the Veyrons. Venoms ram way too much!

Hey man, the mediafire is set to private, could you make it public?
www.beamng.com/threads/n%C3%BCrburgring-nordschleife-gp-strecke.95307/
@darthsnape thank you so much man!
I want to enjoy beamng but I can’t configure the brakes at all, they constantly just lock up on me. Anyone else have this issue?
Have you checked if the ABS in on realistic instead of off?
@ I always have driving assists turned off since that’s how I have it in AC and when I first got the game I just configured it that way. But I also have tried to configure my brake pedal as well as my other pedals, I don’t know if the settings for the pedals are good or not.
@V1c._. BeamnNG takes every part of the car into account. From make, to the type of part being used. Not saying AC is not a sim, but BeamNG is a proper sim, though not a proper rally/circuit racing one yet. Try a little bit of tuning maybe. Braking force, bias, etc etc. It might help.
@@darthsnape I was looking into this, thank you for the help
SOS DIOS GRACIAS POR TANTO
Had this problem on my Simagic wheel and a friend's. You've saved us both from not being able to get into BeamNG and we're really grateful. Thank you!
a lot better than SR-P pedals?
Debatable, but yes.
Beamng can literally be an all in one sim. Trucking, Sim racing, Rally Racing, or just cruising around.
That's the beauty of it!
now we need the "SAMIR YOU'RE BREAKING THE CAR" pre-recorde pack
Totally with you on that.
3:34 actually you're supposed to go right on that stage, that's where the checkpoint is, not left. I also fell for that trap in that exact corner lmao
Holy hell, now that's why it wasn't completing the stage even after crossing the finishing line. I thought it was BeamNG's usual shenanigans.
1:48 you can adjust the volume of his voice in the UI app (by default it is fairly quiet)
Glad you like the mod! Simple setup for playback was a priority and I'm glad to see that it works well outside of my own control Regarding volume, you can adjust pacenote playback volume using the pacenotes editor UI app - in a future update it's clear this should be an in-game setting, and perhaps have volume tuning keybinds. Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely be recording more stages, I'll see if I can produce some urgency while doing so Thanks for checking it out, glad you like it!
gods work man, good shit
You have got the voice, potato. I would love to see more of the notes from you. I had a blast, even though it took me 37 tries to complete one single stage 😂 I also tried to challenge your pacenotes to see if something was missing, or perhaps I could take a turn differently, yeah, not quite. A couple of turns maybe? But 95% of the time it was on point! The pacenotes for new rally mode is really great. I was not expecting that. Keep up the great work man. 💪🏼
Well based on the reputation that BeamNG Drive has, why the heck not?
Eeeexactly!
7:48 For real, those vids are annoying as heck
one of my favorite things about the beamng damage model is the subtle damage you get from driving too hard even if you dont crash. after a while of rough roads at high speed, most vehicles will have misaligned suspension, a damaged oil pan, ruined front shock+springs, etc.. it forces you to have mechanical sympathy, especially in older or cheaper models
That's the charm of beamNG. I guess something similar would happen if I'd drive like that irl.
nice now i only miss a wheel 😂
Hi, but compared to the Fanatec V3 motors, which in my opinion are imperceptible, are these more powerful? Thanks
Hey, I can't really say tbh. Haven't tried Fanatec's motors. But these are stronger than my Xbox one controller's motors.
One additional thing I’d like to add for vehicles is that since Automation has collaborated with BeamNG, you could basically design or recreate any rally machine you like. That might solves the lack of variety in BeamNG for a lil bit
You make an excellent point. I totally missed out on automation!
There's a better and easier to use codriver mod on the repository now. "Custom Rally Pacenotes" with pre-recorded pack works pretty much out of the box, and you can also record your own pacenotes
Yep. Video is in production featuring that mod :)
may the down force be with you is a killer line
I know right?😉
its really good but the tire pysics are obsolete
Hey, What are the best mods to start with RBR for someone who has never played it? Cars, tracks, setup?
There are some co-driver pacenotes mod because the default one isn't that good. Modding is super simple, just moving folders. For co-driver mods I recommend Nicky Grist voice (Luppis pacenotes). For cars, you really don't have to anything, the team adds a bunch of cars. You cannot add any cars like in BeamNG. For track, once again, everything is in the game. Some beginner friendly stages are Chirdonhead, or Frazier wells. Car Setup can be done in the game, but I'm not much of a setup guy. I have enough trouble handling it in default tune.
@@darthsnape thank you sir
in my opinion, beamng is still in early acess, although RBR is wayy older, so I'd say let beamng go into 1.0 and then see how it is!
I think it has been in beta for more than a decade? I wonder when will it get to the final version.
I just did some real world driving in a MK2 Escort and I was surprised to find I could match the subjective "feeling" of the real world in BeamNG far better than RBR/RSF did. Obviously completely personal, so choose whatever game you want and enjoy any Sim Rally you can 🥰
I don't touch a RWD car in RBR with a ten foot pole, but yeah I agree. I have also seen similar RWD behaviour in BeamNG. Of-course I haven't driven a proper rally car, just a road going car on a gravel field for some fun. I might have to see how RBR feels in terms of RWD.
@@darthsnape I did a 2 day session with the London Rally School in October and immediately got home and tried to recreate the sensations of driving the Escort MK2 in the dirt. BeamNG was the closest for me in terms of feel and the car behaved similar to the real thing. I spent a bit of time tuning the ETK-I to be as close to the escort as I could get it and haven't looked back since. I even started mapping out the London Rally School course so I could practice 😅 RBR, while awesome, was actually far too easy compared to my experience IRL. Sounds weird to describe RBR as "easy", but I guess everything is subjective in the end
@@DavidDyball What was it about beamNG that felt so close? Was it the behaviour of the tail?
@@darthsnape Probably the weight of the car overall. The car feels heavier in BeamNG. The clutch behaviour was also a little closer to real in BeamNG. Clutch-kicking to get extra momentum through a turn isn't really necessary in RBR in the Escort MK2, whereas it was incredibly useful in Beam and IRL
@@DavidDyball This is the sort of input community needs. Thank you very much for sharing this David!
Honestly my favorite thing about Beam Rally is that no other rally game is gonna let me take a fleet base model pickup, a police cruiser, HD flatbed van, or a just any awful creation you make in the garage. Beam will still time you and put you on the board, i dont think i have a single time set in a "rally" car.
You make a solid point. For all I care I could have a Wentward run in a rally stage, or worse, a Civetta. It's the freedom with just the right amount of crazy that makes this game stand out in the crowd.
4:28 FOV police lol but yeah, love the video and love that there's more indians getting into sim racing
Thanks man! And don't tell anyone I don't know squat about FOV. I just roll with whatever seems decent lol. 🤫
@@darthsnape if set correctly, it makes the immersion much better. just search on google for a calculator and use the first result.
