I haven’t used the power drill and always used to swap the shifter plates and stuff with allen key. No wear and tear at all.

The pin design is concerning. I'm yet to see how it holds up. Simagic on the other hand, has pogo pins too but has never put a fear in my mind that I might accidentally damage them. Simagic can prove to be an appealing option when factoring in the consumer perspective.

While on paper the 22 bit of resolution should outright demolish the 18 bit, but it isn't the case. Based on the settings I run, I felt more comfortable on Simagic (it could be bias, I'm not sure) and was faster, like I have shown in the video. And you are right, this base has minimal filters which takes away the digital feel. But I'd say based on the settings I play with, I preferred Simagic despite the very slight (maybe 5%) digital feel. In a blind test, I would be able to tell them apart, but that's because I have tested them both. The differences are in filtering. But again, I'm pitching it against the Alpha U, and not the mini. For an honest review, during my testing period of 20 something days, I spent almost no time with my Alpha U.

Because of the design of the QR itself, it’s hard to ace the wheel incorrectly. It simply won’t latch on. But yes, I agree, I too have been careful with them.

@@tkdmp5698 The "extra headroom" is highly useful as it provides all the dynamic forces. The dynamic range is often overlooked when picking a base due to lack of awareness or budget issues. I can tell you that playing at 10/12Nm in game and having the torque maxed out on base (23Nm) would allow all of the forces to peak as high as they can for better immersion. In my opinion, it's very important for me to feel every last frequency because of the missing G-forces.

I have seen that to be the case most of the times. People either hate it or love it, there's no in between.

@@JamesHartnell keep in mind that you don't need to use their wheels at all. I use an Asetek Invicta base and have never used an Asetek wheel. I also don't ever see their base and have the LEDs off since the base sites behind my monitor.

If you do end up getting the La Prima, maybe you can swap the PCB and power supply and have yourself a Forte without spending much.

@@darthsnape I was initially happy to do it but the length of time they’re taking to come up with a solution has put me off a bit.

If budget isn't an issue, then I would suggest you go for a direct drive base. You can opt for budget segmented ones such as offerings from Moza, Simagic or Cammus (maybe?), or even high end bases to simulate those real life forces at home. If not, hands down Thrustmaster TX is better than g923.

Moza has been known to have some QC riddled products. You can check reddit for that. But aside from that and my statements regarding the comparison, R12 is a great base. And I hope it doesn’t give you any problems.

Hey do you still have your R12? If so, how's it been for you so far? I'm leaning more towards Moza over Simagic since they're more affordable and I prefer their rims

@@TechnoKube I’ve not tried a simagic so I can’t compare but honestly like I say I’d rather save that extra money you’ll pay for simagic ,you could put that to more fancy pedals not that I find anything wrong with moza srp load cell pedals or a more fancy wheel than the es wheel In my opinion on the r12 seems great to me,really powerful that I turn it down ,no functioning problems,i could of even maybe of purchased the r9 instead and used the money else where on my set up like I said Simagic maybe better but in what way and I doubt you could tell anyway I don’t think you will be disappointed in ever choice but the R12 is working great for me

@TechnoKube At the end of the day, that’s what matters. If you like the R12, go for it. Don’t think like you’re missing out on anything. Both are nice bases.

I’m really glad to hear that. There has been quite a number of complaints regarding fading issues, I just wasn’t sure if it was as prominent in an R12 as it was/is in an R9.

I too liked the brake mod, but after testing it again (my latest video), I could not stand it. I could play on the TX just fine, but the T3PAs are just bad. You are right, no going back after Loadcells

Thanks ! 😄 And you’re absolutely right. I won’t recommend a Cammus C5 or Moza R5 to a beginner even if it is priced lower. Thrustmaster/Logitech wheels are perfect for beginners and even intermediate to advanced players. I myself cracked some decent ranks in leaderboard. People don’t give them enough credit but they’re still really solid.

@@deepanshu2015 Thrustmaster has no service centre in India, so no warranty, even if mentioned on Flipkart's website. So cannot recommend it. If you're ok with taking a chance with it, then you can.
