Excellent video, I think the same as you.
I went to buy the R9 and the store also had the R5 installed, I thought they both had the same feeling, the R9 with more power without a doubt, but the sensations on the track were the same.
As for the ES steering wheel, I also agree, I bought an excellently built formula steering wheel in my country, the feeling was completely different. The only disadvantage of the R5 is that you will have to buy a lighter steering wheel and a maximum of 30 cm.

I am on R5 review watching spree atm, and I'm surprised with how this review turned out. Other reviewers talked about stuff that had been repeated again and again (i.e. get a higher NM DD, etc.) but you talked about resolutions of wheel base, something that I didn't know until now.

My logitech g29 just got delivered, I was searching for setup guide video and found ur channel. I saw a few videos and now im having buyers remorse haha. I dont know if i will be able to enjoy my g29 just as much as i would've before visiting ur channel.

We all start somewhere. But on the bright side, Logitech supports a lot of games that a DD does not. Snowrunner is a great example of that.

If your new to Sim Racing the Logitech G29 is a great starting point. Dont be discouraged ! I used Logitech products for many years before finally upgrading.

The g29 is a great entry level wheel. I had mine for 4 years with no problems. There are aliens who just use that with ff turned off. If you have great technique and are good on the brakes you are most of the way there. The R5 is really worlds apart though even at just 5.5nm, the details are all present where in the g29 you'd only feel some weight shift, oversteer and some kerb strikes. The details are really nice to have and can tell you what the car is doing all the time but you don't need high ff, you can get away with having the R5 and decent loadcell brakes as your forever setup. If your already on the upgrade path, get LC pedals first to go with the g29.
