Thats a great space Lee, i love how you have a little shrine to when you were younger, the godzilla posters are killer and i think ive said this before but the actual age and wear on them just makes them better imho, thanks for sharing mate i hope you and the family have a great 2025
@@tootyuk cheers Stu, yeah I too love the aged look of the Godzilla poster, plus some huge satisfaction of saving it from pretty much binable condition. Glad you like the room mate, hope you and yours have a great 2025 aswell👍
This is the first room tour of yours I’ve seen. I like your setup 😊
@@bundjohn hey thanks John, glad you like it buddy. Merry Christmas 🎄🧑🎄
Very jealous of the vixen poster, used to adorn my bedroom wall 😂. Still looking for my childhood ghettoblaster, still can't remember the make or model 😂. The BBC master is an awesome machine. Wendy James 🥰. As I've said before, a wonderful collection of games and toys, I could happily spend hours in there. Really enjoyed this mate, hope you and your family have a great Christmas.
@@davidretrogamesplayedbadly3533 haha we all needed either the Vixen or Barbarian poster😜 Hope you get to find your childhood ghettoblaster, if I hadn't found the photo I doubt I'd have been able to narrow it down, especially as it turned out a very uncommon one. The BBC Master is a tank of a computer, bloody love it . And yes it's a super happy room to spend time in, so much nostalgia everywhere. Thanks Dave buddy, hope you and yours have a great Christmas too🎄👍
Lovely room you've got there! I loved the fact you've got flyers from raves you've been to and stuff, must bring back great memories! Got a few tape packs where me and my mates got shout outs by the MC, don't even remember much about the raves tbh, I was wasted :D! Cheers for sharing!
@@ninjabearhug cheers mate, I've got so many I ould easily fill a whole wall. Still got the flyers from pretty much every rave I went to, what a time to be alive! Thanks for tuning in mate, hope you have a great Christmas.
@ I stuck all my flyers on my bedroom wall with glue bitd so they were all ruined then! They’re probably still on the wall, my mum decorated when I moved out and couldn’t get them off (full wall was covered) and she papered over them 😂
Ah mate that is hilarious, glue! 🤣🤣🤣 Good old blutac was the order of the day and that made enough mess. Like yourself rave flyers were my wallpaper back then😁 Love to think your painted over flyers remain there for eternity, like a secret time capsule 😄
Those Godzilla statues are quality!
@@RetroHulkster glad you like them, actually have a couple more preordered for well into next year 😁
Really cool room collection, great to see so much stuff I had either never seen or knew about and a few bits I had forgotten about…love the nostalgic to you items. Have an awesome Christmas buddy 😉👍
@@RetroHulkster hey cheers Rodgy mate, yeah it's a bit quirky my room, choc full of memories and experiences which is how I like it. The fact done stuff brought back some memories for you too is awesome🙂 Have a great Christmas yourself bud👍
That room is excellent mate....really neat and tidy.....and rammed full of cool stuff. Thanks for sharing mate.
@@DadLadsGaming ah thanks mate, it's a small room with just about enough room to swing a cat but good enough for me😁 Hope you have a great Christmas fella🎄
Merry christmas tetlee 👍
same to you Jamie buddy🙂👍
Such an amazing set up Lee. Everything has its place 👌. So nice you’ve your original Lego space set. Cool idea with the rave flyers; I did a few of the tribal gatherings so likely we were at some of the same events 😄. The design of the Panasonic Walkman is really cool. Cheers for the tour, and wishing you a fab Xmas with the family mate.
Cheers Ed, yeah lucky to still have the lego, pretty much everything else was car booted for next to nothing by my mum over the years, haha. Hey that's awesome to think you were at the same Tribal Gatherings👽small world! Glad you enjoyed the tour around(tour sounds funny for such a tiny box room😄). Have a great Christmas yourself mate.
Absolutely awesome, buddy. And I love what you done with that poster restoration. From the camera, at least you can barely tell it has any damage. Your games room has so much different stuff that I don't even know what it is. I absolutely love it. Absolutely, love that Pegasus with Archimedes statue. What a great birthday present you bought yourself there, pal. Have a brilliant Christmas, buddy.
@@8BitBoyUK cheers Oli, yeah that poster was a labour of love, we spent an entire afternoon carefully working on removing the old tape and redoing it properly, together with the frame it turned out even better than I could have hoped. Glad you like the room, very random but everything has a great meaning to me so it's a real happy room to be in. The Pegasus is awesome, love it. Have a great Christmas yourself mate.
A lot of good stuff in ya room Lee, and love a bit of Sabre Wulf of course mate 😊 , I've got some Space Lego too at my Mams, you have a great looking gaming room, have a great Christmas pal 👍 🎅 🍻
@@stewsretroreviews cheers Paul, you need to retrieve that space lego, the greatest lego of all time😉 Can't beat a bit of Sabre Wulf, actually just picked up a homebrew of it for TI99 which is a touch easier so I'm hoping to finally complete it sometime soon, never did manage it despite being one of my favourite games. Have a great Christmas yourself mate 🎄
@Tetlee Not sure if my Ma still has instructions for that Space Lego mate lol
@@stewsretroreviews that was a huge bonus when I noticed the instructions were still in the box, wouldn't struggled without them(well wouldn't probably just created something and that would've been it).
Love your room Lee, think it's fantastic how focused you are on the real old school type consoles Also fantastic how you have so much on display forward facing, that looks brilliant You've certainly added to it with those extra high shelves and filled up the wall space, not much free at all now, I like that, just like my philosophy You've certainly crammed a lot into what doesn't look like a big room but it doesn't look crowded either Love the Bod plaque😍 Spot on mate👍
@@retroimportgamer513 ah cheers James, your approval means alot mate as I think we have pretty similar taste😉 Yeah I tried to plan everything really carefully to maximise space but hopefully not look crammed, don't think I could've done much better for what is just a box room. All the display items give me a smile which is what it's all about. Have a great Christmas mate🎄
@Tetlee Merry Christmas mate, hope you have a good one🎄
Where's your sister's drawing gone?
@@simoneaustin8101 ooooh good point, I got a new frame for that too. I'll squeeze it back in, by hook or by crook 😁
Really enjoyed that room tour dude 👍 I like the personal touches in it and the memories, A video with Transvision Vamp, Bod and Bad Taste on vhs in it gets a sub from me 😅 Meeting Wendy James back in her prime....man that must have been a buzz !
@@minks36 hey thanks mate, always cool to kind like minded folk that appreciated the same things. Oh hell yeah was amazing getting to meet Wendy James in person, were only a few of us there aswell. Man she was hot back then and what a voice to go with🥰 Bad Taste was brilliant, haha me and my best mate used to rent that all the time. I can't look at Bod without whistling the theme tune😁 Thanks for the sub mate, have a great Christmas 👍
Games room is looking awesome mate..... Done really well with the space to fit all that in
@@nerdygeezer78 cheers Lee, yeah I don't think O could've done much with such a small box room. Took a lot of planning and rearranging over the years😁
What a beautifully curated games room Lee,love it ❤ So much nostalgia for me looking around your room. I especially loved the dedicated chaos shelf because that was and still is one of my favourite games of all time too. It’s probably because all my friends from school played it together and it was the only time when never argued and had fun, so it will always be close to my heart. Loved the Citidel eagle, I’m sure I’ve still got that in the loft somewhere. You did a fantastic job of restoring that poster as well, looks absolutely stunning. Thanks for sharing I really enjoyed that mate 😎👍
@@Alsarcade really kind words mate, you must've seen to many games rooms now so flattered that you like it. Yeah Chaos is a truly special game, so simple yet you could never get bored of it, me and my best mate played it endlessly and of all my nostalgic games that is the one that is by far the most special. That Eagle, I can still remember like yesterday the day I went and bought it, was the best figure I had, so thankful I still have it(sadly my second best large dragon one I seem to have somehow lost, not in the bag with the rest that I kept). The cinema poster is so cool, wife and I spent hours recovering that, was so badly ripped, but once repaired and adding the frame it is perfect! Thanks for watching mate👍
Tetlee mate I absolutely love your room It’s four walls that houses all your nostalgic memories in so much media it works fantastically bro You have a fantastic taste mate That Pegasus and bubo statue is stunning ❤ Hahaha I can’t believe you have Bod over seeing your room lol
@@SEGAZombie haha cheers Scott, who better than Bod to be the overseer😁 Glad you like the room mate, best room in the house and love spending time in there, so much nostalgia goodness🐸 Have a great Christmas mate.
By eck sir, you've squeezed a fair old amount into that space-not an inch wasted....did I spot some TI99/4A cartridge additions there? You've came up with one or two borderline genius solutions, particularly like the pegged TI boxes working their way down your wall. I'll need to find some solutions myself as I'm now struggling for space. I just bought 3 new shelves to put my TI cartridges on-they're now full and I've still got another four small plastic boxes full of them. I also picked up quite a bit of ColecoVision stuff this past month, I got the Atari converter that lets you play Atari 2600 games on the ColecoVision and I also picked up the Roller Controller which is a big old trackball unit for the Coleco, also picked up some more Coleco games and a nice selection of Amstrad CPC464 titles. I've now got an Apple IIe enhanced, an Amiga A500 and a Sinclair QL that I have no room to display. I've got myself 'The Spectrum' for Christmas morning but went a bit mad and ordered the C64 version too....Christmas morning should be fun. Have a great Christmas Lee, the tour of the room was great, hope Santa is good to you.
What a fantastic room and beautifully displayed! Ooh, I'm loving all those various shelves for displaying DVD/game boxes, especially those smaller ones. Nice ghetto blaster. Handy for making "backups" of your original tapes & Cheetah joysticks were always my choice, back in the day. 8:10 Here comes Bod! Haha, classic. 13:16 So much Chaos! So much awesomeness. 19:29 I can't fit anything more in now. 🤔 Looking forward to games/nostalgia/man cave room II 😂
@@pauljackson6168 thanks Paul, happy you like it mate. Yep I love the way I've been able to display everything, wll fits like a glove and thankfully not much want for much else apart from the odd cassette games which I have plenty space for still. Hope you have a great Christmas 👍
@Tetlee Ah yes, Mrs TetLee might be watching, just the "odd cassette" to add to the collection now. Sure, sure (winks knowingly).😉 😄 Thanks Lee, have yourselves a great Christmas, too!
@@pauljackson6168 hehe, indeed 😬👀😂
Thanks for the tour. I've had most of those consoles, and computers in the past. :)
@@ThomasGrillo top man Thomas, still as fun to play today as they were back then. Have a great Christmas 👍
What a lovely space mate. So tidy and well thought out. Love that Pegasus statue. I've got a couple of Morgan's pieces too.
@@retrotap cheers Richard, has taken me alot of planning this past couple years to squeeze it all it without it looking too crammed. The Pegasus is awesome!👌
Ah great room and collections Lee, so much nostalgic magic in the mix, sorry to hear of your friend aunt an uncle passing but you'll always have the fond memories.🌳 That Pegasus statue is a real beast, I remember being absorbed by the mythical creatures in that film way back when.🎬 Nice Irish mirror of course as well. Go raibh mile maith agat for sharing.🕹🍀🎮
@@Pjvenom1985 hehe shoulda known you'd like the mirror, do they still make Kilkenny over there? Haven't seen it here in years sadly, used to love that stuff! Love the Pegasus, what a magical animal, wife loves it too which is always a bonus. Have a great Christmas Patrick 🍀🎄
@Tetlee Apparently the brewery in Kilkenny closed in 2013 but it's still brewed in Guinness's Dublin, I'm off the alcohol for around 6 years this Xmas but I do still see it floating around here on occasion.👍 Aye I'd say your partner genuinely liking the statue is a nice bonus indeed, thanks and same to you buddy, just after a peaceful on here haha.❄️🖖🍀
@@Pjvenom1985 ah of ever I get to visit Ireland again I'll be on the search for a nice pint of Kilkenny for sure. Fair play to you sir on giving up the booze, far healthier living👍
Bubo the owl 😉 That is one spectacular 80s themed room ❤ Oh, and a dual deck ghetto blaster is a must for "backing up" 8bit Micro tapes 😉
@@GenerationPixel haha Bubo indeed, sometimes I say something and it doesn't sound quite right and throws me right off. Did I say "sometimes"?😄 Cheers Stewart, glad you like it mate👍
Really nice room mate and it is all you which is what I like to see compared to generic setups. Thanks for showing us round.
@@TheHobbyLodge cheers Martin, it's a small room but I have it exactly as I love it. Nice and cosy with cool things everywhere I look. Perfect for me🙂
You got my tape 🙌I thought that Bod was Karl Pilkington,Centipede cab is sweet 👌museum meets modern looking great in there mate & even the photo back when, never been into Godzilla but they look wicked, rave flyers oh hell yeah 🤘You sold me that cuppa off for one myself now
@@Gold2thGaming haha I shoulda thought that when I showed the Goldie album😂 Was always at raves back in the 90's, good times! Cheers for stopping by mate, hope your cuppa was as nice as mine ☕

@@ArttuTheCat hehe, meow indeed 🤤😸 Have a great Christmas Arrtu👍
That Donkey Kong revival on the ZX Spectrum outshines the old version. It's not as drastic an improvement as Mr. Kung Fu which litterally puts the awful Kung Fu Master port to shame. Many homebrews really rock!😎
@@seraphinberktold7087 agree with you there, Mr Kung Fu really was a massive upgrade, still love that one. The are some absolutely incredible on the Speccy the past few years. Cheers for watching and have a great Christmas 👍
Imagine having that Donkey Kong back in the day! Looks amazing.
@@shain6946 my thoughts exactly! Was playing it again last night, can't get over how they managed to squeeze a near arcade perfect port into just 48k. So good. Cheers for watching Shain👍
Whoa, this looks cool! Thanks for this! I really find smooth textureless polygons really charming to look at, but there's something even cooler at looking at these vector graphics on real sharp displays, and even today, despite technology advancing so much, nothing has really been able to surpass how clean these vector graphics look. I always wonder if we'll ever get some sort of successor to the long obsolete vector monitors. The closest I've seen are some light projectors that were trying to emulate these arcade games, and they look really good. And it's a shame the Vectrex was the only vector based console to ever come out. Though it's a no wonder they died out, as raster graphics can do basically everything that they can do, but in more complex detail. I think there's a hobbyist following for it nowadays. Do you know if there was ever a 3D platformer that was made with this vector technology?
@Tromite good question about the 3D platformer, I honestly don't know but would be great to see. Vector Patrol is a beautiful conversion of the classic arcade game, puts all the other ports to shame IMO and as you say it works so well with the vector graphics. Vector Pilot is equally brilliant, might get around to doing a video for that one at some point. Thanks alot for watching👍
@Tetlee No problem! Yeah, I haven't really seen any other games running on vector displays that are fully 3D. I'm wondering, with a higher processing power, is it possible? The only thing I've is a conversion that allows an oscilloscope to run current modern games on there, and it looks great!
Thanks for doing gameplay on these games bud Frankenstein and Dracula look very similar but wow very polished nice visuals and I really like the music and sound effects Donkey Kong on the 48k looks amazing not impressed with the sound though hahaha
@@SEGAZombie haha I guess they did the best they could to keep Donkey Kong in 48k, apparently they used every single byte. A 128k version would be just way too awesome! The other two are really nice little puzzle platformers, chuffed with all 3 of these.
Never knew this version existed until I bought a beeb and it was on the built in sd card. It's very surprising and a great version....shame about only having the one background but that doesn't break it at all. Great video. Beeb has some fantastic games. Try (if you haven't already that is) daredevil Dennis and nifty lifty (which also has a zx spectrum version)
Frank N Stein and Dr. Acula are fun looking little titles, but oh my! Donkey Kong in 48k on a Speccy! That, my friend, is nothing short of witchcraft 😮
@@GenerationPixel I agree Stewart, Donkey Kong has some sort of black magic coding going on, incredible work!
Hey Tetlee, that great thanks for showing them to us, I must say the music is quite good in these games! Well beside the Donkey kong one lol, I find that one weird, I do have it on a little arcade that I think the sound beter there lol
@@Spare_Ombres haha the old 48k beeper music is limited in it's abilities so they did about the best possible on Donkey Kong😄 Glad you enjoyed the vid Christian buddy👍
Very impressive them Lee, shame the first two seem like reskins
@@tootyuk Frank n Stein is a remake, where as I believe Dr Acula is a modern sequel, they are similar but different enough to both be enjoyable. Really happy with all three of these, cheers Stu👍
Excellent games. Where do we get them from?
@@WoolyChewbakker the first two you can find as a set if you google midnightbrewgames(takes you to a ko-fi site). Donkey Kong I ordered from Spain, I found the site via a link in World of Spectrum on facebook. Hope that helps 🙂
yeh thats a great we game. as good as the arcade..enjoyed the video
@@CliveMcCabe I somehow missed Rodland back in the day, played it for the first time after picking it up on the Speccy a year or so back, this version is much better, love it. Glad you enjoyed the vid🙂
3 great looking games esp donkey kong
@@CliveMcCabe I agree, 3 great ones here and Donkey Kong is more perfect than I would've ever thought possible on the 48k Spectrum. Thanks for watching Clive👍
Love those classic Godzilla films. I used to watch a lot of those giant monster films. I remember seeing Gamera as well, i really enjoyed those.
@@Champion2D hey nice to hear from somebody else that appreciated them aswell Rob, I grew up watching the old Godzilla films. Strangely the Gamera series completed passed me by and watched my first just recently, very good! Might be tempted by the bluray boxset of those as seen it quite cheap.
Definitely remember Richard playing a few of those types of titles⚡️🧛♂️ Frank & Drag have a strange way of thanking you for resurrecting them haha. And ole Mario Donkey King & Pauline together again, very well played and smooth video Lee.🕹🌠🎮🍀
@@Pjvenom1985 haha cheers Patrick buddy, yeah there are proper Richard type games no doubt about it. Make a change for me and really enjoy them. Donkey Kong is perfect. Take care mate🍀
Hi Lee, ok bud, never played any of those, but I like them all 👍 , especially that Donkey Kong game, a brilliant new version here, I must get all of these mate 😂
@@stewsretroreviews hello Paul buddy, hope you're well mate. Hey that reminds me I saw a vid from you the other day, need to go back and watch that one🙂 busy feed lately and difficult to keep up. Another great selection Lee. Loving that ice slip animation in Frank N Stein! Colour clash takes me back to the good old days hehe and that Donkey Kong is just amazing for a 48k version.
@@pauljackson6168 haha yeah I love the ice slip animation aswell, bit like my dance moves😆 Donkey Kong is absolutely incredible for 48k, some wizardry going on there. Cheers Paul.
Well i think all these look amazing individually Love the two monster games, essentially the same with a different theme by the looks of it but both right up my street DK is a personal favourite of mine and that looks fantastic, do like how they have embraced the colour clash, looks brilliant, seems to play great and all levels too Brilliant 👍
@@retroimportgamer513 I've always loved when people embrace the Speccy colour clash, I think it makes this version look stunning, date I say the best home version of Donkey Kong I've played! The other two are great aswell, I know there were a few games of that ilk but I never owned it even played any so these are very welcome in my collection. To use the phrase everybody uses these days.. 3 bangers! 😄
Donkey Kong looks amazing....how on earth did they manage that on a 48k Speccy🤷
@@DadLadsGaming I know it's insane, imagine if we'd had that port back on the day! Probably the most impressed I've ever been with a homebrew game pushing the limits.
Loved the puzzle elements on the first two titles. And the ice / grass terrain is a nice touch 😄 DK played nice and fast. What a great version. You breezed that first level. Not a game I’m very good at haha. Cheers Lee!
@@RetroEdUK cheers Ed, yeah all three of these were winners. I'm in awe at Donkey Kong, always considered the TI99 version to be brilliant but this blows that and all the other conversions out the water for me. Brilliant.
I like the look of the Frank one, it's similar to Colin The Cleaner/Ralph on Alpha 2 but it has some meanies to avoid too. Dr Acula looks like more of the same, no bad thing they're fun ❤ Donkey Kong does look fantastic mate, amazing for a 48k game. If you're a fan of DK, have you tried Donut Dodo on the switch?
@@retrotap Colin the Cleaner, that's the one I was thinking of😁 Both are great, love the way they break it up with the non collecting levels, looking forward to delving deeper. Donkey Kong is the best home port I've played, incredibly good!
Speccy aint my thing these days but got to say all look well but that Donkey Kong is way better than j imagined 👊🏻
I've come to realise the 8bit games are where the really enjoyment is for me, and the fact they can reach such incredible heights like this version of Donkey Kong on the old hardware never fails to bring a huge grin to my face.
