Would you believe I've never played Rod Land, looks great and love the music on the first world Remember seeing the box for the micro versions and looks great on the Super Gameboy, I need to use mine more as I never bother with it Well played mate, enjoyed that and great commentary 🤣👍
I'd never played it either James until I picked up the Speccy port last year, that one was pretty good so thought worth trying another version. Plays great on the Super Gameboy I think, really fun game although I seem to always make the stupidest mistakes playing it😬😆
I've only played the Speccy port previous to this which was good but this is way better I think. Be interested to see the C64 version if you ever cover it mate👍
Interesting game, munch all the Flora beat up the following Fauna and funky Faerie folk give you extra lives haha!🌻🧚♀️ Wasn't expecting the first boss to be a family of Alligators/Crocodiles! Well played buddy enjoyed the commentary.🐊🕹🍀
Cheers Patrick. It's certainly an unusual game, I somehow never came across it back in the day but people always talk finely of it. Plays well on the Gameboy🧚
Cheers Colin, yeah I'd only played the Speccy port previous to this and even that was only about a year ago. That was pretty good but a bit too easy wasn't it?
Love the look of this one Lee. Seems like a fair bit going on and cool how things change up for the boss section. Will have to hunt it down; def a pricier one so you did well to grab it when you did. Have a fab weekend. Cheers.
You too Ed mate, it doesn't feel like a Gameboy game at all to be honest, fab one to play on the Super Gameboy. Love the custom background too, highly recommend grabbing it if you can👍
@@CliveMcCabe I somehow missed Rodland back in the day, played it for the first time after picking it up on the Speccy a year or so back, this version is much better, love it. Glad you enjoyed the vid🙂
Ah cheers Alex, I only played it for the first time on the Speccy last year. Don't know why but assumed this would be one of those games you would know well. Bet you'd enjoy itate👍
Yeah it's a really nice background this one. Seems to be exclusive to the game as it isn't available on the other Gameboy games I have. Some games seem to include an extra different one. Thanks for watching👍
Crazy as it sounds Steve I've somehow never seen this game in an arcade😮 one of those that somehow passed me by. Great version for the Gameboy I think, damn that pesky bubble thief 😝
The Gameboy stuff actually looks surprisingly good on the SNES, I've got Rodland on the C64, it plays quite well but isn't quite as detailed as this version. This SNES stuff is pissing me off a bit though....I bid for two and both times didn't receive them-so I bid for another one on eBay which now appears to have been lost or delivered to the wrong address by a courier. What are the odds on losing out on 3? Good video as always Lee, makes me think the Gameboy adaptor is a worthwhile piece of kit.
Noooo what are the chances of 3 in a row?!? On the positive at least SNES are easy to come by, would've been way worse if it was something rare to find. The Super Gameboy is a brilliant little device, I don't play handhelds any more so this is a great way for me to catch-up on some missed gems. Cheers Allan, hope you get your SNES soon mate.
Always thought rodland is one of those arcade games that looks easy but really really isn't. Played it loads on the amiga, this looks like a great version mate.
Yep that's a spot on description of the game there Dave, deceptively easy to get killed. I need to try the Amiga version at some point, slit if people say that was great. Cheers buddy 🍺
Yeah it's both fun and frustrating, I nearly always lose a life while trying to gain one🥴 Great little game though, plays really nice on the Super Gameboy. Cheers Stu👍
Haha it's one of those games mate, so annoying when the letters change just as you walk into them😝 I need to try the Amiga version of this at some point👍
Apologies for the sound, mic too loud 😬😑

Great video. What a fantastic conversion I’ve only played the C64, Amiga & spectrum ports. Will have to keep my eyes peeled for this one👀
Cheers Colin, yeah I'd only played the Speccy port previous to this and even that was only about a year ago. That was pretty good but a bit too easy wasn't it?

Nice looking game, Decent music As well, Who doesn't love the super Game Boy, I might prefer to play hand held games on a big screen, Well played mate
My eyes can't take those tiny screens these days Marc haha, Super Gameboy FTW😁 How you're well, thanks for watching mate.
I like that Super Gameboy background. It reminds me Harvest Moon or Derby Stallion

I've only played the arcade version of this lee buddy. This looks great though. Love the sounds and the colours.... and the bubble thief 😂
