I rent studio space, also got a hotel for the night just to shoot in and more recently I used Peerspace which basically offers spaces to shoot at in various cities and states. I was able to rent someone’s house in Baltimore, MD last year for a Boudior shoot that I found on the Peerspace app. I’ll look into the one you mentioned although what you have looks more like a permanent (while you have an active lease) type of deal. You didn’t mention it in the video but do you also have a changing area/bathroom/make up area for the client? In the summer time I have done shoots in my one car garage but the thing with that is having to setup everything and break it down at the end of the shoot. Eventually I would like my own space or studio to shoot in. I don’t have the wall mount you have but can relate to the light not holding its position. I have a Godox AD600 and when I have it on the end of the boom, it keeps angling down towards the floor. It won’t do that if it’s on a regular stand though. I’ve tried mounted it light you did but it’s so heavy that it drops towards the floor. I may have to use a heavy duty boom arm.

i have Godox Mount Modifiers and now baought some bowens mount lights, WTF... But i love portable small mount lights... will something soon...

how are you toggling on and off? Is there a place like photoshops layers panel where you can view what history, delete layers and toggle individual layers on and off?

Thanks for this. My home studio is about the same size. It’s a converted 1 car garage. I have my backdrops on a pulley system and the newer mounts on the walls to the side. I’ll definitely be getting the cart. Just subscribed. 😊

There is a lot of inexperience and incapability of adapting to new ideas and methods in this video. For you to be so hard stuck on what you think you know best is disappointing from a "review" youtuber. Please be more open minded and do your research about products rather than blasting random opinions (not facts) based on your intuition.

Mine arrived yesterday and, even after watching a few good reviews, I'm amazed at how good this lens is for the price. My only (very minor) complaints about it are; 1) the lens cap is really finicky, it doesn't just click on like the Nikon ones, you have to really squeeze and line it up properly. That said, it won't fall off either. 2) If at some point a firmware update becomes available, it can only be done using a Windows computer (according to their website).

Is the TTL metering also better with the X3? I'm not really satisfied with the AD300 flash and Xpro ii trigger. I dont want to waste much time setting up flash when i have a client.

I have super small space, but this has inspired me to make the mos of it. You can definitely get creative and use any space to make a lot of money and create great art.

I think Godox mount is similar to the mini Bowens mount you referred to. I think they have 24” and 36’ octa.

Thanks Ryan. If they can’t mount backdrop to wall, there’s a better option than c-stand ( turtle bases are big). They’re called stand poles. They’re basically extending poles that tighten with enough tension to hold them between floor and ceiling. Thanks for your hard work

This was done to ruin her business. Sorry but I looked at her website and she has ALOT of great photos MOST of them are just like what i see in the brides "rejects" . If you hire someone and want something different from what you originally saw... thats on you... even the thing with the eyes... SAME as her website. someone got in the brides ear... they should have been there when she was looking for a photog.

This is a really great video. Out of curiosity, have you tried running the SK400II-V off of an external battery? I've seen at least 2 people running the SK400II off a Buff Vagabond Mini battery (120W, 130Wh). But I haven't been able to find any specifics of how well (or how long) such a setup will work. I started with a pair of KS400IIs and moved on to a pair of AD100pros specifically for the reason you mentioned (needing to get under 1/16 power). Keep up the great work man!
