Good review…I have one and it’s worked great for what I do. I also use it with my AD 200 or AD 400 as a rim light sometimes.

What do you have on the top front of the camera?

In my Godox ad100 the glass melted a bit inside due to the 1-1 pulses, it should only be used at 1-4 or less ))

Personally I’ve stopped using speed lights because of the AD100 pro.

Both the AD 400 and AD 600 can be battery powered or used with a plug with the use of a separately purchased, AC Adapter pack.

Great video Ryan! I own a couple of AD100 Pros and pair them with the Profoto Clic Fresnel head that adds 1 stop of light. Also, the Rogue Gel system works well with the Godox line of round head flashes. Happy Holidays to you and your family!!!!!

It's my favorite also, that little handle is the best. I wish Godox/Flashpoint developed a reflector for it like the Profoto Clic Magnum. Watched a TH-camr demonstrated one on the AD100 and got a stop and a half more light from it.

This looks like a nice alternative to the BO-AD400Pro Bowens adapter. Which I've heard is supposed to work on the AD300 as well with an adapter.

I've wanted to get two of these to go with my AD300 for a portable strobe kit. But I heard about them having a bad green tint. Has that issue been fixed now?

It's my favorite strobe (also my first one 🙂). Added the AD300, and the small but amazing V350.

Bro, digging the hair! ... Confession.... I have 2 AD300's & 1 AD100. I've owned this since it came out and have rarely used it. But, I everyone is starting to talk about this light again. I think I'll be giving it more of a chance next year. *BTW, have you seen Marcus Pix rave about the AD100? He says that it puts out more power than the AD300...IDK

Is skipped the AD200's because I like more power. The brighter the light, the more possibilities. The AD 400 is very portable. Without the max power of the AD1200 some photo's are just impossible to take. The more power, the faster the recycling time too.

Nice video! I do have one question for you... How easy is it to see the display outside in bright light. The previous AD200 screen is so hard to see in bright sunlight..

I was hoping to see a video tutorial of step by step, button by button instructions and how to use the speed lite explaining how it works and how to set it up for different situations.

I’m with you. I can’t stand dark backgrounds. Looks very unnatural. Just don’t blow it out and you’re good :)

I'm glad you showed the textured smoothing, I was afraid it would look too smooth. It looks great! My first AI editing program was Portrait Pro but I have mostly been using Evoto for the last 3 months or so, it works beautifully and saves so much time. The one thing I love Portrait Pro for though is they have a setting called Hair volumizer. Works great to give women beautiful volume for their hair. I use it very subtle though.

Fro deffenitely knows his stuff and I like the guy but man he can sound arrogant sometimes lol
