Been watching him since i started my photography career. I learned photography on TH-cam. I was able to quit my job and do my commercial photography full time for the past 5 years. Jared is one of the people i learned a ton from. Much respect. Love this interview. Very different from other TH-camrs that think their shit don’t stink.

@@hankypanky4u you would be correct if the Northrop’s did interviews like this. Or hopped on livestreams. When’s the last time you saw Peter McKinnon talk to the people in the comment section or engage with the chat? I’ve not seen any other large channels (over a million subs or close to it) engage with the community like Jared does 🤷🏾‍♂️.

Jared is the kind of guy that works to help people grow.
He understands that not everyone has the ability to reach top end photographers to gain advice and he has work hard to help people with limited backgrounds improve.
I haven't had the chance to shoot professionally but I have had multiple professional photographers look at my work and be totality impressed and encouraging for me to go professionally.
A lot of what I have learnt has been from Jared videos.

Great stuff Ryan. Jared is the real one. I agree with him that TH-cam base is more important than TikTok. TH-cam teaches you in proper non rushed way and allows you to create strong community when other socials like TT or Instagram are meant to be just quick fix of dopamine and nothing more. People will understand that when they will decide to grow their knowledge in certain niche instead of just swiping like junkies 😅 Keep up great work and shout out to Jared for making this interview !

I appreciate this video as I was upset by the whole Greg Gazillo issue as I was an avid channel watcher at the time and developed a resentment for Jared ( even though I have purchased 3 or so of his video guides) due to what I saw happening. I have finally come to a point of being able to let that go and possibly feel comfortable with exploring the Fro channel again.

Nice interview. Jared was dropping unpopular gems 💪🏽. The main reason that I got into shooting all the brands that I do, came from teaching new photographers the basics of photography. I understood that I wasn’t fully effective by only knowing Nikon and Canon. I eventually realized that other brands had great things to offer like Sony coming in with eye autofocus, Fujifilm’s unbeatable RAWs, and Olympus offering 60 fps burst rate years before the competition.
The Nikon fanboys hated Jared for speaking the truth, but I’m glad he stayed on course.

Jared is no nonsense and phenomenal at his work. He's the reason I bought my first Nikon D200 body only which was weird back then. But he was right a lot. Also using other brands because the wedding businesses used particular brands. So you had to know them all. Canon,Pentax, Hasselblad...film or the new digital format. Back then. Great interview. But .....its addiction ...5he world is affidted to watching youtube instead of doing photography or enjoying life. TH-cam is about personality and spunk factor. And you either have it or dont. I dont want to do be another gear review. The world is addicted to distracting themselves.
And this is nit being critical of fro know or tony northcott...or peter mckinnons

Here's a clue, real photographers don't wax and wane endlessly on gear. They pick the tool for the job and use it. And they SHOW PHOTOS .. not of gear. but of other things. The gear heads aks collectors only show and photo gear. The problem for those that catered to the collectors is the technology has plateaued and all the gear has been reviewed and techniques addressed ad nauseum. So they have less content that hasn't already been beaten to death.

He or anyone is free to talk
Like they want. He can come to my house and curse at me on the front porch. I don’t care. Just watch the video. These aren’t confrontational questions. They’re just neutral photography type questions but Jared just has this hyper defensive attitude like he’s angry but there’s no one to be angry with. Just watch it. I’m not the only one who sees it. Just an observation. I found it weird. He’s free to be him and I’m free to think he’s an asswipe. All good.

It’s sad we are reduced to getting our cometary by mediocre photographers instead of the greats. But, ya know the greats are busy taking photos.
